Two main teff producer Kebeles, namely Amaro and Gossu Kora were selected by using simple random sampling technique from 11 high potential teff producing Kebeles in Ambo district. A total of 142 teff growing households were selected using random sampling and then interviewed. The result indicated that the study areas are among the surplus teff producing Kebeles in the district and it was found that 50% the market surplus obtained. Opportunities of teff production and market of the study areas are clearly identified which includes high demand of teff in the market, nearness to market, availability suitable climate and soil and high support and encouragements by the government. The main challenges observed in the study areas are lack of finance to invest; lack of improved farm tools; practicing very poor harvesting methods; shortage of land; high cost of production and low productively. It is recommended that farmers use modern technologies such as improved production methods, improved seeds, and farming tools; access to credit and labor reducing technologies to increase the supply of teff into the market. Moreover, reducing non-farm activities by making teff production more profitable and farmers must devote more time to farming activities. Further research needed on teff market chain analysis starting from producer to final consumers, and critical analysis on the value chain of teff.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126472565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The term sustainability was considered interchangeable with corporate social responsibility in accordance with several of the past academic studies and the approach taken by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Data collected from the stand-alone reports or the website-based disclosures for the top 100 S&P 500®companies showed that, while the number of companies that published such information had grown over the years, there was both considerable variation in the format and volume of the information published, and variety in the sustainability initiatives pursued by different companies. The study showed a need to bring comparability in the published data. Also, companies that published the data should use independent, external assurance services to enhance the credibility of such data, which happened only for less than half of the sample.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122333189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is done through using modern techniques and modern materials which are applicable and marketable and matches the Iraqi environment. The Research aimed at: Designing windows for the Interior spaces with modern specifications and features (heat & sound insulation). Describing the materials and techniques included in the design of glass and the building's windows. The (Research Limitation) was limited to the subjective limit which is represented in the design of windows which isolate the heat and sound and the spatial limitations which are represented in the uses of these windows in designing the internal spaces for public and private buildings. Also, the current study was limited within its timing limitations on the date of designing the experimental study by the researcher in Year 2018. The Research Conclusions are: Using the Nano-Technology including (Nano-Ceramic) is to find amended and developed features for the production a new type of hard glass which is unbreakable where paresis occurs a consequence of presence of spaces between the atoms. This problem was overcome by reducing the spaces to the minimum which enabled using this technology in designing the windows in addition to increasing the heat and sound isolation property for the glass of these windows. Using various materials which are heat and sound insulators in various windows design joints, lead to an increase in the feature of the window deigned for heat and sound isolation. The research reached the following important results: The designed sample is very effective for heat and sound isolation. Possibility of producing this type of windows to isolate some public and special internal spaces and the specialized spaces which need high heat and sound isolation.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125726030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditional models focused on optimizing business performance by optimizing its subsystems do not yield fruitful results in dynamic environments. Logistics optimization of business dynamics in line with evolving business environment imposes itself as means to create adequate models for continuous business performance management. Dynamic optimization of business performance is the set of processes managed by implementing effective logistics management strategies, involving information, material and financial flows in incoming and outgoing communications with the environment, aimed at integrating and dynamizing all business subsystems in line with market demand. Business flexibility and adaptability are the fundamental control variables of the concept of logistics management and are the prerequisite for continuous business performance management in today’s turbulent environment. Logistics management models seek to integrate success potentials, or the control variables - indicators of efficiency and effectiveness in business performance, enabling managers to create simulation-based anticipatory management strategies aimed at dynamic optimization of business performance faced with discontinuous change in the business environment.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115948837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the agency’s front and backline employees’ role to serve the public, they are recipients of the difficult unemployed situation. For this reason, the relevant literature and the employees’ working context are presented. Given that empathy has become one of the significant issues of the organizational studies, this article provides useful implications for managerial practice and future researches. In particular, it can be valuable to policymakers regarding decision making in public organizations who serve vulnerable groups due to the financial recession to improve the provided services for increasing performance, public satisfaction, and reduced costs.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121024758","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This exploratory study aims to fill this knowledge gap by investigating the phenomenon of ‘attitude toward finance’, viewed as potentially connected to people's financial knowledge levels. The study focuses on a sample of 87 women aged between 19 and 65 years old in order to assess and compare their attitude to finance. Methodologically, this is a qualitative study based on focus group discussions. We find different ‘attitude profiles’ in our sample reflecting the complex interaction of affect with learning finance, cognitive competence, value, difficulty, and interest in finance. As might be expected, women with a specific educational or professional path in finance are found to have a more favourable attitude toward finance. Conversely, age appears to have no relationship with attitude toward finance. The implications of these findings for research and practice are discussed.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"44 12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121180346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We argue how investors’ perception of company’s self-presentation, financial prospects and social media communication can be associated to a successful performance of an Asset Management Company (AMC). In doing so, we carried out a stepwise analysis on 21 Italian and UK Asset Management Companies belonging to EUROSIF Panel. To accomplish this goal, we set up an experimental study enrolling university students of a Business Ethics course, aiming to understand how they evaluate an Asset Management Company’s social commitment. Empirical findings denote the relationship between the social disclosure and the company’s financial success, exploring which factors can affect social investors’ perception and how they are able to associate a good corporate social commitment to a high corporate financial performance, once improved their knowledge about sustainable finance.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116766169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The emergence of these various social ills stems from the empty and dead soul of society. Thus, this study examines Islamic mysticism which is believed to be the best mechanism for society to treat such problems and diseases because mysticism provides certain methods based on the Qur'an and Sunnah. This qualitative study uses library research such as books, journal articles, newspapers and magazines to find information related to the topic.
