ZV, ZVD, EI [2], [6], [7] and other input command shapers have been studied for last two decades and have given rise to many papers and applications oriented on feed-forward, non-measurable disturbances vibration reduction in machines controlled by computer. The main advantages are optimal response, in a sense of dead beat compensation, with the fastest response respect to bounded actin command and easy implementation.","PeriodicalId":106306,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115629672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Load curves show several load peaks during the day leading to problems for electricity providers. In this paper it is shown how to build load- and time-variable tariffs to obtain defined target load curves through demand response. Results show that total annual costs rise if load-reduction or peak-reduction target load curves are designated. If load curves based on load-shifting or flat load curves are designated, total annual costs almost stay unchanged with load-variable tariffs while they decline with time-variable tariffs.","PeriodicalId":106306,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115844148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The developed system uses two pairs of 3D accelerometers and gyroscopes, in order to determine the exact position of a joint by measuring the relative position of the two adjoined segments. The use of such a system can provide joint kinematic information overcoming shortcomings of video based motion analysis systems. Normal and pathological gait data are presented.","PeriodicalId":106306,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems","volume":"239 3-4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114107151","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

S&OP is a monthly process which consists in several steps, and involves a lot of roles inside a company. The paper offers a survey of ideas and best practices for a successful sales and production plan. Last section presents a case study of a laboratory-based manufacturing cell. The S&OP process in this system is supported by software architecture which incorporates subsystems for demand-planning and supply-planning. An S&OP workbench is also supported. Using this system, various system components need to be synchronized for best performance.","PeriodicalId":106306,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126617835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Kalashnikov","doi":"10.1109/IDAACS.2011.6072794","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/IDAACS.2011.6072794","url":null,"abstract":"High accuracy data acquisition frequently employs averaging in order to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the output signal. Averaging requires acquisition of several copies of a noisy input signal that results in an increase in the measurement time, and is applicable for the periodic processes only. The SNR can alternatively be improved by digital filtering of out-of-the-signal-band noise, especially when the sampling frequency was selected significantly higher than the notional Nyquist frequency (oversampling). A quantitative assessment of the applicability of this approach to high accuracy data acquisition was tested using an ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation (NDE) dataset of 1000 noisy records. Five different FIR filters were designed including two ideal filters defined in the frequency domain, and three realizable filters. It was found that the relative total mean square error filter exhibited the performance closest to that of the ideal Wiener filter. The achieved improvements for two realizable filters were above 6 dB meaning that by using FIR filtering the required measurement time could be reduced by a factor of 4 in the considering case.","PeriodicalId":106306,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123065729","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
