When applying these coatings, the basic question is how the coating itself effects on the power of the solar module. The recent paper deal with this. It examines power, reflection capability and power changes due to contamination and self-cleaning of 5 different coated solar modules and compares them with the measured values of an uncoated solar module. Based on the results of laboratory measurements, it can be stated that the effects of photocatalytic thin layer and lotus effect based coatings increase the power of the solar modules by average 2%. The effects of the same contamination reduced the power of all modules, but the power of the coated modules is higher. After spraying with rainwater, the examined coated solar modules operated at nearly 4% more power than the reference, uncoated solar module.","PeriodicalId":104429,"journal":{"name":"Hungarian Agricultural Engineering","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116969975","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Integrating solar power generating with agricultural activities is relatively new; however, it has started with implementing the PV panels into the greenhouses. Comparatively, openfield agrivoltaics systems are still growing and under-development in many locations around the world. The urge to explore innovative solutions for the increasing demand for electricity and food has been the main motivation for the research centers, researchers, and governments to escalate agrivoltaics development globally. In this paper, the current and most recent projects and studies of open-field agrivoltaic systems are presented, compared, and analyzed in order to anticipate the potential and path of development for agrivoltaics in the near future. Several pieces of research from different countries globally were included to illustrate the main features and performance indicators of agrivoltaic systems. The paper concludes that the agrivoltaics system has the potential to grow to big-scale projects in different climatic regions because it provides benefits either by increasing the Land Equivalent Ratio (LER), protecting the plants from severe ambient weather, and diversifying the income for farmers. New technologies and methods have been integrated with the agrivoltaics systems in different projects to optimize the model; however, many aspects of development could be introduced in the near future.","PeriodicalId":104429,"journal":{"name":"Hungarian Agricultural Engineering","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129046214","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Besides decrease of average yield it was serious problem that not a small part of the growned and harvested crop was unsuitable for food and forage production or the usage was limited. This phenomena caused problem in many countries all over the world according to data of scientific literature. There is a statement in the literature also that DON-toxin content can be decreased efficiently and safely only during the cultivation of plant and the possibilities for that are very limited during processing. We wanted to prove with our experiment that it is possible to decrease DON-toxin level of wheat items by application modern equipment and machineries, wherewith the losses and the food safety risks can be minimized. During our experiment we studied the effect of two milling machine on DON toxin content. (Sortex Z color sorter and Scule Verticone intensive surface cleaner). Both modern machine can be built-in the cleaning process in the mills. In our investigation we took samples from harvested wheat items during processing in the year of the experiment. The data were subjected to complex investigation and we evaluated them with different statistical methods. On this basis we can unequivocally state both machines are effective in reducing toxin level of basic material. In the year of the experiment the regression analysis showed that the Schule surface cleaner was more effective than the color sorting machine.","PeriodicalId":104429,"journal":{"name":"Hungarian Agricultural Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128991695","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These new technologies have the potential to transform decision-making in agriculture and to reduce environmental impact. In this paper, the advantages are demonstrated of two types of sensor sets that were installed to collect data from soil, plant, and the environment. Data are processed in a decision-making system. The proposed system allows users to monitor the fields in real-time and gives recommendations for production using wireless and internet communication.","PeriodicalId":104429,"journal":{"name":"Hungarian Agricultural Engineering","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121531072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A small-packed bed reactor was developed to pyrolysis the processed char. The preparation of feedstock was carried out in an improvised muffle furnace. The following parameters were obtained to determine the potential of pine waste: thermal effectiveness, oil yield, char yield, gas yield, specific biomass consumption, and carbon conversion efficiency of the unit. The absolute increase in the cold gas efficiency of pine needles after torrefaction was 44%. As compared to Acacia wood chips (G30 and G50), a 4.8% rise in the carbon conversion efficiency was seen after thermal pre-treatment of pine needles. However, it was relatively dropped by 2% to the wood pellets. The obtained char yield from torrefied pine needles as to the wood pellets was augmented by 160%. On the contrary, the oil yield derived from torrefied pine pellet was dropped by 65% while comparing it with the wood pellets. The carbon dioxide emission was mitigated by 3.4% after torrefaction of raw pine needles, whereas it was reduced by 11.71% when it was compared with commercial wood pellets. A pronounced rise of 123% in the clean gas production was noticed after the torrefaction of pine needles, while it was 14.96% when it was compared with the wood pellets.","PeriodicalId":104429,"journal":{"name":"Hungarian Agricultural Engineering","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132541692","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Balance Scorecard is an excellent tool for measuring our strategic performance, but does not necessarily provide a clear feedback on causality and subsystems related to indicators. In our research, we highlight the deficiencies and the development possibilities of the balance scorecard through the operation process and conrol system of a dairy farm operating in Hungary. The model will be further developed using the KPI-tree method, which will be illustrated in through an example of a causal relationships with a financial KPI.","PeriodicalId":104429,"journal":{"name":"Hungarian Agricultural Engineering","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117027076","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The greatest growing areas in the World to raise Brix applied the water „cut off” method 3-4 weeks before harvest. In Hungary, we cannot successfully use this method. The target of our examination is to find out if the “deficit irrigation” method can be successfully applied on the sandy soil of Kecskemét. We have found differences in the measured parameters between non-irrigated and highly irrigated plots. The year effect on the open field is very high, which influenced our results.","PeriodicalId":104429,"journal":{"name":"Hungarian Agricultural Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124160323","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consumption profile of hot water has a significant impact on solar DHW sizing as it relates many uncertainties regarding human nature, which is difficult to predict therefore. The size of solar thermal system is roughly estimated in most cases which can results operational difficulties and efficiency losses. In this paper, different DHW consumption profiles have been analysed. The influential parameters on consumption, sizing methods and proposed modelling techniques for solar DHW are discussed and concluded with findings of several case studies.","PeriodicalId":104429,"journal":{"name":"Hungarian Agricultural Engineering","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122776606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
