Transport has an enormous contribution to society in functioning our daily life also a cause of environmental degradation. More than 95% of containerized cargo are moving from/to Chattogram Port by using road mode that is liable for Carbon dioxide (CO2) emission, congestion, and high transport cost. Rail intermodal is facing capacity constraints in Dhaka rail Inland Container Depot (ICD), and river intermodal is under-utilized for the shortage of hinterland logistics facilities, the mindset of users, and poor terminal productivity. This research applied the quantitative method to analyze the port throughput of Chattogram Port and its hinterland connectivity by nodes to get innovation and sustainability to identify environmental factors in international freight movement economically. On the basis of a literature review, and explored research gaps before data analysis, it is clear that environmental factors including SDGs are not considered in the inland freight transportation systems of Bangladesh. The research findings alerted that people in the freight movement system do not present a wide awareness of their activities and due diligence to environmental sustainability in creating a wider room for the next generations. The quantitative analysis of port throughput data indicated to increase in the share of intermodal especially river intermodal which has a wider scope to use available river ports in all parts of the country naturally. The practical impact of the research is to formulate a long-term environmental strategy in freight transport, corporate execution by all transport business-oriented companies/organizations, and enabling technologies in inland freight operations and monitoring. Overall, this paper provides a conceptual framework for the environmental sustainability of inland freight transportation systems in Bangladesh in doing international shipping and trade.","PeriodicalId":104128,"journal":{"name":"International Supply Chain Technology Journal","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121409070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes an integrated approach to SHSCM, combining four core elements, particularly Hospital Infrastructure Development (HID), Collaboration and Information Flow (CIF), Forecasting and Planning Management (FPM), and Technology Supply Chain Application (TSCA). This approach addresses the complexities and challenges in healthcare supply chains, promoting resilience, efficiency, and sustainability. The authors present potential applications from two different healthcare systems scenarios to demonstrate the application and effectiveness of the proposed approach. The findings of this study suggest that the integration of HID, CIF, FPM, and TSCA provides a comprehensive and systematic way to enhance SHSCM, with implications for research and practice in this important field.","PeriodicalId":104128,"journal":{"name":"International Supply Chain Technology Journal","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134136812","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Modern society simply cannot function without electricity, yet there are many factors that pose a threat to staying connected to the grid. Events like natural disasters or unexpected power outages can put our world on pause when our connection to the grid is compromised or cut off. With regard to energy sustainability, our current energy production is heavily reliant on fossil fuels; a source guaranteed to run out. Despite the fact that fossil fuel reserves will be depleted within the century, about 60 percent of our 2022 energy production here in the United States was still from the burning of natural gas and coal.","PeriodicalId":104128,"journal":{"name":"International Supply Chain Technology Journal","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115356170","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The digital revolution, characterized by the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain technology, and digital financial flows, is transforming how goods and services are manufactured, transported, and delivered, influencing various sectors, including the agri-food supply chain. Traditional SCM used to be linear and hierarchical, where each participant operated in silos with limited communication. The supply chain starts from raw material suppliers, followed by manufacturers, distributors, and retailers before reaching consumers. Such a system was characterized by inefficiencies, including information asymmetry, increased lead times, and lack of visibility.","PeriodicalId":104128,"journal":{"name":"International Supply Chain Technology Journal","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127654666","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) pathology could be replicated in induced PSC-derived neurons developed in brain organoids complex 3-D bioengineered tools for studying neurodegenerative diseases. Our hypothesis is that the electrical signals can increase the neuron cell growth and enhance the connectivity between neurons Our research proposes growing a brain organoid around a functional RFID chip and testing the effects of RFID on neurons, and the ability to use RF to stimulate de novo neuron growth as a potential therapeutic to enhancing memory for patients with AD.
