The surface properties of mixing water with surface-active substances in combination with nanoparticles of bentonite deposits of the Chechen Republic were investigated. The surface tension isotherms were presented. Compositions of complex nanomodifiers reduce surface tension of mixing water. The study on physicomechanical properties of the cement stone with complex nanomodifiers showed an increase in mechanical strength and density. Optimal concentrations of complex nano-modifiers affecting cement composites and their rheological properties were identified. The relationship between surface tension and density of the structure of cement stone was established. Based on the X-ray diffraction patterns obtained using the Selyakov-Scherer model, the sizes of crystallites were calculated.","PeriodicalId":103378,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Symposium \"Engineering and Earth Sciences: Applied and Fundamental Research\" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of H.I. It is pointed out that according to the existing opinions of foreign scientists (such as Powers, Ramachandran, Feldman, Swenson and Sereda), the mechanism of carbonation shrinkage of cement stone is considered as a topochemical process and consists in dilution of calcium hydroxide at the points of contact of crystals and formation of additional bonds during the precipitation of reaction products in new zones. The mechanism of the shrinkage of autoclaved aerated concrete during carbonation processes is explained in the framework of the scientific theories of Russian scientists E.S. Silayenkov and E.N. Chernyshov. This mechanism is classified as heterogeneous reaction, referring to its kinetic and diffusion component, where the main causes of shrinkage deformations are the intrinsic stresses of the crystalline intergrowth and the polymerization of silica gel, resulting from the interaction of hydrated calcium silicate with carbonic acid.","PeriodicalId":103378,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Symposium \"Engineering and Earth Sciences: Applied and Fundamental Research\" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of H.I. Their traditional production technology involves the use of cementing component, obtained by the mixed grinding of unhydrated lime and silica materials. Nowadays, one of the main tasks is to reduce the production energy intensity of variously-functional wall composites through the use of unconventional, including manmad, raw materials. From this perspective, non-traditional for the construction industry clay rocks of the unfinished minerogenesis stage, are of particular interest. To stabilize clay rocks, complex methods can be used, in which, as a rule, several additives are used, which effect on the rock can be different. It has been established that the use of aluminosilicate binder, including lime (Portland cement) for the production of non-autoclaved silicate wall materials based on non-traditional clay rocks, will contribute to achieving the necessary level of structure formation and maximum physical and mechanical properties of high-performance highvoid wall products under non-autoclaved conditions.","PeriodicalId":103378,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Symposium \"Engineering and Earth Sciences: Applied and Fundamental Research\" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of H.I. When comparing calculated dependencies to determine the strength of an inclined section under the action of transverse forces with experimental data, the author found that in reinforced concrete beams without distributed reinforcement, the strength over an inclined section under the action of transverse ones does not in some cases reflect the actual operation of the structures under consideration. A mathematical model is proposed to estimate the effect of geometric characteristics of reinforced concrete beams on strength in transverse forces zone when the relative span of a/h0 is changed from 1 to 3 based on the experimental data.","PeriodicalId":103378,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Symposium \"Engineering and Earth Sciences: Applied and Fundamental Research\" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of H.I. Fluorine-containing compounds are transferred to the solution, which allows obtaining cryolite for being used in the electrolysis process. It is recommended to use solid residue from leaching (cake) with a minimum content of alkalis and fluorine as an additive to the mixture for cement production. According to the results of experiments on obtaining portland cement by traditional firing technology, the limiting content of alkali metal oxides (not higher than 4.5% by weight, calculated as Na2O) in the leaching cake was determined, the optimum content of this additive in the charge is from 5 to 12% depending on chemical composition of lime used.","PeriodicalId":103378,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Symposium \"Engineering and Earth Sciences: Applied and Fundamental Research\" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of H.I. Analysing these habitats enables to discover the chorological nature of the researched flora, determine dominating geoelements, which provides the basis for, first, correcting the schemes of biogeographic zoning, as well as solving the issues, related with the history of flora. Upper-alpine rock-scree plants of Central and Eastern Caucasus belong to caucasian-holarctic-irano-turanian. The head part of the geographical range corresponds with the sequence of families Apiaceae – Cyperaceae – Poaceae, sequence of geni – Campanula – Carex – Ranunculus and Minuartia. It follows from the above said that the studied flora does not contain tertiary relicts, although ancient species, which may date as far back as the tertiary, exist. These include all ferns and gymnosperms, evergreen bush Rhododendron caucasicum, evergreen shrubs Vaccinium vitis-idaea, Empetrum caucasicum, Daphne glomerata, wintergreen subshrub Dryas caucasica. Also, there are no xerothermic relicts, as in highlands there are no arid areas where the remains of xerophiles could survive. In terms of xerothermic relicts, they can include only one species Cirsium cephalotes, transcaucasian-asiatic species, having within the researched region a relict area up the river Baksan.","PeriodicalId":103378,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Symposium \"Engineering and Earth Sciences: Applied and Fundamental Research\" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of H.I. There are developed and described methods to reduce the concentration of sulfates in reservoir-cooler Lake Kenon CHPP-1 in Chita. The operation of a coal station and disposal of its waste without anti-filtration measures directly affect soil feeding of the lake. Thus, the anthropogenic impact of the city-forming plant threatens the lake’s ecosystem and quality of groundwater. The measure proposed in the paper should help reduce negative factors affecting the natural ecosystem and, then continue to use coal fuel to maintain the quality of the reservoir. One of the main consequences of the implementation of these methods is time calculation when water is restored to its natural state. It will help to use this part of the reservoir for recreational purposes.","PeriodicalId":103378,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Symposium \"Engineering and Earth Sciences: Applied and Fundamental Research\" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of H.I.
