It solves the problem of the generating of PWM signals, motor velocity feedback and direction and the feedback of the motor current in the servo control system. The structure and mathematical modeling of a dual-wheel upright self-balancing robot are studied. The real experiments are done. The right and left wheels are driven separately by two high precision Direct Current (DC) servo motors with photoelectric encoder. Direct current servo control system of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is based on the application of pulse width modulation DC-DC converters. Based on the construction of the structure model for the system, the systematic mathematical model is worked out according to the dynamic mechanics theory. The state feedback controller (LQR) with good robustness is designed on Matlab. The stability of the system is proved by simulation results. The human-like robot can realize all kinds of walking control. Validity and rationality of the system modeling and the controller designing are verified through the performance experiments of the prototype.","PeriodicalId":103284,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposiums on Information Processing","volume":"183 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121048221","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But the current mobile QA systems always have low query precision and recall ratio. In this paper, a new algorithm by pattern matching in p2p mobile QA system answer extracting process is designed. It expresses the document as triad and extracts the question and answer sentence from the triad based documents. Simulation experimental analysis results show that under ideal conditions the systempsilas average responding time is less than 58 ms and precision is above 66%, and the recall ratio is upper than 52% when there are no more than 3000 simultaneous query nodes, and so the completeness and feasibility of the systempsilas design is proved.","PeriodicalId":103284,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposiums on Information Processing","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133209830","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First we estimate the skew of text line and rotate it to the horizontal one. Second, a sampling method based on color edge is proposed to get portion of the text pixels and non-text pixels. Then, k-means algorithm is used to partition the sampled pixels into k clusters. Third, we take the centroid and standard deviation of clusters to segment text image into k binary images. Finally, stroke-filtering is used to select correct one from k binary images. Experiments result shows that the proposed method performs much better than the previous methods.","PeriodicalId":103284,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposiums on Information Processing","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134512921","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this paper introduces temporal-link-analysis algorithm to resolve the problem. This algorithm uses the last modification time that returned by the HTTP response as the timestamp of nodes and links concerned. And the weight of the in-link and out-link are also integrated to compute the overall weight of the pages. Using the WTPR algorithm can make the old pages decline and new pages raise in the ranking result, meanwhile it can help the old pages which have high-quality get higher rank value than common old pages.","PeriodicalId":103284,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposiums on Information Processing","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130316477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But the restart operation in the software rejuvenation phase makes the system unable to provide services, which leads to system unavailability. The software rejuvenation model with pre-start technology is therefore proposed to reduce downtime and improve availability by switching between active copy and backup copy, which can substitute for restart operation and resolve unavailability problem. First of all, the rejuvenation operation of model with pre-start technology is described and improvements on the conventional model are presented. Second, the model availability is calculated by Markov Regenerative process. And finally, according to the experimental results, current model proves to be more available than the conventional one.","PeriodicalId":103284,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposiums on Information Processing","volume":"21 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116962931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results are tested by utilizing the samples of Chinese joint-stock commercial banks during the period of 1999-2006 and compared with results of PLS regression and BP neural network. The result is gotten that the forecasting precision of SVM is superior to that of PLS regression and BP neural network when the parameters are selected appropriately. Also, it is found that the forecasting precision of various methods in coverage ratio of capital is better than in Meva due to the influence of listing during 1999-2005.
