But we are still a long way from this vision because the current devices describe their functionalities in a very simple manner, not in an expressive way, and therefore it is difficult to automate the behaviour of the environment. The first approach [17] identifies candidate features by applying a set of POS patterns and pruning the candidate set based on the log likelihood ratio test. The second approach [11] applies association rule mining for identifying frequent features and a heuristic based on the presence of sentiment terms for identifying infrequent features. We evaluate the performance of the algorithms on five product specific document collections regarding consumer electronic devices. In addition, the aim is to facilitate the integration of analytic approaches with traditional sensor output. Therefore the framework allows the combination of multimedia analytics with any other event generating sources, as used for observational systems. This work presents a system for using semantic information to automate the process of selecting and combining digital assets into summary presentations or storylines, as well as determining triggers for when to generate such content. The system obtains semantic information from a variety of sources, including the capture metadata, image and video understanding algorithms, user profiles and third party ontologies; all such semantic information is stored in a triple store. Prolog-based rules leverage the triple store to provide a knowledgebase for determining when to create particular types of output and how to select assets for such output. Underlying the discussion is a desire to ask (and answer) some \"deep\" questions about our use of information technology.Personal Information Management, with its new, expanded scope, is now almost synonymous with \"personal computing\". Not only does PIM now cover a broader spectrum of data (some directly personal, some indirectly via social connections, etc.), but also the variety of devices on (and through) which the users manipulate their personal data has grown, and most users have several devices that they use regularly. This introduces great challenges to how we build PIM systems,starting from various data management and representation issues and spanning through to user interaction problems. Mobile devices are becoming ubiquitous, and with their increased performance and various ways of sensing their environment, they are better and better suited to building increasingly capable PIM systems. The paper presents the study and the performance results of a system for emotion classification using the architecture of a distributed speech recognition system (DSR). The features used were extracted by the front-end ETSI Aurora eXtended of a mobile terminal in compliance with the ETSI ES 202-211 V1.1.1 standard. On the basis of the time trend of these parameters, over 3800 statistical parameters were extracted to characterize semantic units of varying length (sentences and words). Using the WEKA (Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis) software the most significant parameters for the classification of emotional states were selected and the results of various classification techniques were analysed. This approach overcomes some of the major drawbacks deriving from the use of bag of words and term frequency based indexing techniques. The proposed approach is evaluated by using unsupervised performance measures and by comparing the clustering results achieved against the ones obtained when using a traditional indexing method. Most of these efforts provide different views for the understanding of various Web activities. Results from various experimental research should be utilized to improve existing approaches underlying tagging data and contribute further to weaving the Web. However, in practice, there are not enough solutions taking advantage of these results. Even though we can mine social relations via tagging data, it proves no worth for users if this data cannot be reused.In this paper we propose a solution for tag data representation which allows data reuse across different tagging systems. To achieve this goal, we analyze current social tagging practices, existing folksonomy usage as well as semantic Web approaches to data annotation and tagging. We survey and compare existing tag ontologies in an attempt to investigate mapping possibilities between different conceptual models.
