Stable recovery of high resolution range profiles from these projections is guaranteed only if the mutual coherence between the columns of the sensing matrix is sufficiently small. In this note, we derive the sensing matrix for the compressive radar sensor with multi-frequency chirp waveforms and analyze its coherence structure. The statistical covariance of signal and noise are usually different, so a binary hypothesis test on covariance matrix is employed to determine the existence of primary user. Collaborative sensing scenario is introduced for the proposed algorithm, in which each sensor only needs limited sample data for calculation and sends mediate result to fusion center. A performance comparison among different rational functions is provided, which shows different functions in this algorithm may have similar or distinct performance. So it is important to choose an appropriate function. Specifically, Golay waveforms are implemented via time separated waveform transmission and the Re-Iterative Super Resolution (RISR) algorithm [9]. Doppler tolerance is achieved by using Golay quads in addition to Doppler bin specific fast-time Doppler compensation. The four waveforms of the Golay quad are transmitted in four sequential bursts at a fixed pulse repetition interval. The RISR algorithm is used to separate the received signal into discrete Doppler bins. The separated signal components are then compensated appropriately so that the Golay complementarity property can be exploited. We propose a method whereby multiple Doppler shift channels are applied and then we look for minimal variance across all Doppler channels. We focus on phase-only waveforms and devise a constrained optimization procedure which sequentially improves the Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR), forcing a similarity constraint between the transmitted signal and a known radar waveform sharing a good ambiguity function. The computational complexity of the proposed algorithm is linear with the number of iterations and polynomial with the receive filter length. A circular scan geometry is usually used in these applications to better suit the morphology of the scan region. Nevertheless, the reconstruction of these kind of datasets is a non-trivial task due to the nature of the phase wrappings introduced by the scan geometry and the near field distances between the antenna and the targets. In this paper, a novel reconstruction algorithm for multistatic SR datasets recorded along cylindrical scan geometries is proposed. This image formation approach performs a series of operations in the frequency domain to compensate the effects of the scan geometry. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated using a series of simulated datasets. The highly integrated system-in-a-package (SiP) format occupies <; 2 cu inch and has been demonstrated as a key element in both MODEM and RADAR platforms. Dynamic reconfiguration is achieved via software, thus implementing a software defined payload (SDP). MODEM operation is illustrated with two novel interference resistant communication waveforms, one digital chaotic-based and the other an enhanced OFDM (eOFDM). In trials, chaotic spreading achieved interference resistance of ~ 2.5 dB over comparable direct-sequence spread spectrum approaches with an uncoded BER of 8.5 × 10-6 when received at -13 dB SNR (100 kbps). Results indicate that this waveform holds promise as a concurrent secondary user (SU) in cognitive radio or shared spectrum schemes. The eOFDM provides > 36 Mbps and > 30 dB of additional pilot tone interference margin over typical OFDM, so it is suitable as a primary user (PU) format tolerant to both interference and wireless channel distortions.
