A secure and committed data sampling process is necessary for those processes. We introduce a novel committed random double-blind sampling methodology for data auditing and transactions, which utilizes cryptography and blockchain technologies. This approach ensures that the sampler only has access to the sampled data. The sampling method we propose is also double-blind, meaning that neither the sampler nor the data owner can independently determine the positions of the sampled data. Instead, they are jointly decided by both parties. Additionally, the method permits the data sampler to detect if the data owner has intentionally chosen high-quality data or provided data extraneous to the data set. This innovative methodology guarantees that the data sampling process is both trustworthy and traceable. We supply a security analysis and offer solutions for various scenarios, such as multi-file and three-party sampling. We also present a sampling process designed to prevent collusion when sampling occurs among three parties.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":100773,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Digital Economy","volume":"4 ","pages":"Pages 16-28"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144314341","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using a quantitative research design, data were gathered through self-administered surveys and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). To mitigate potential bias, the common latent factor (CLF) approach was used. The results demonstrate that e-service quality significantly enhances e-loyalty, with customer e-satisfaction serving as a crucial mediator. Additionally, brand image exerts both a direct positive effect on e-loyalty and an indirect influence through customer e-satisfaction. By extending the cognitive-affect-conation pattern model to the digital banking context, this study offers valuable theoretical and practical contributions for banks aiming to strengthen customer e-loyalty in a competitive digital landscape.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":100773,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Digital Economy","volume":"4 ","pages":"Pages 1-15"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144243468","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Extensive reviews focusing on the internationalization of digital platforms are very few. There is no comprehensive review focusing on the factors influencing the internationalization of digital platforms. This paper critically reviews studies on the internationalization of digital platforms to identify factors affecting their internationalization. It also aims to identify research gaps and prepare future research agendas. A systematic literature review method guided by the TCCM approach was used for this review. The findings indicate that the category (proactive or reactive) of digital platforms, the ecosystem they belong to, and the region of operation are a starting point to determine the factors that influence internationalization. Secondly, the business model and, subsequently, the type of digital platform firm are crucial in understanding the internationalization dynamics of the firms. Although digital platforms, enabled and supported by information technologies, have seen increasing applications across various sectors over the past decade—particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic—their potential to facilitate and support the transition to a circular economy remains unclear. Accordingly, this research aims to address this critical gap by systematically reviewing the literature on digital platforms and the circular economy from 2010 to 2020 and presenting directions for future research. Our findings reveal that digital platforms have been extensively utilised across ten industries: the sharing economy, social media, labour, healthcare, third-party payment, crowdfunding, lending, e-commerce, tourism, and food. Given the diversity of these sectors, the literature exhibits distinct characteristics and trends. Overall, digital platforms contribute to achieving circular economy objectives by reducing, redistributing, and reutilising waste through enhanced information exchange, improved efficiency and effectiveness in supply network operations, and greater co-innovation.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":100773,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Digital Economy","volume":"3 ","pages":"Pages 132-145"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"143715790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We take the implementation of China's broadband pilot policy (BCPP) as an exogenous policy shock and use a difference-in-differences (DID) model to investigate how BCPP affects urban energy efficiency and underlying mechanisms. We find that in the pilot regions, the BCPP significantly improves urban energy efficiency. After employing instrumental variable methods to mitigate endogeneity issues, the results remain robust. The further mechanism analysis indicates that the implementation of BCPP improves energy efficiency through the digital elements dividends (i.e., digital talents, digital capital, and digital technology) induced by internet development. Additionally, the heterogeneity results unveil that BCPP has a more significant promotion effect on energy efficiency in cities on the right side of the Hu Huanyong line and in cities with high administrative levels and a smaller share of secondary industry output. However, the policy effect of BCPP on urban energy efficiency is less significant in resource-based cities and old industrial-based cities. One of the central questions in this context is whether and to what extent climate change is ‘priced in’ by the market. In this paper, we give contributions that help answer this question and offer implications for market participants and policymakers. Firstly, we extract the climate dimension of financial news by introducing a measure to quantify it. Secondly, we perform a causality analysis of the linear and non-linear relationship between this quantified information and market data on over 3,000 stocks. Our empirical results show a causal relationship between the market and the climate information extracted from our representation learning methods. We also notice that the strength of this relationship decreases over time, indicating that the climate dimension contained in the news articles is quickly reflected in the market but its effects are gradually decreasing.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":100773,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Digital Economy","volume":"3 ","pages":"Pages 146-157"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"143799959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The advent of digital infrastructure and its development have infused new energy into rural revitalization initiatives. This study leverages panel data from 283 cities over the period from 2008 to 2021, aiming to explore the impact of digital infrastructure on rural revitalization and to understand the underlying mechanisms of this relationship. The findings robustly suggest that digital infrastructure significantly fosters rural revitalization efforts. This conclusion holds firm even after addressing issues related to endogeneity. Mechanism analysis reveals that digital infrastructure enhances rural revitalization through several avenues, including the advancement of digital government initiatives, the development of digital finance, and the accumulation of digital talents. Furthermore, heterogeneity analysis indicates that the positive impact of digital infrastructure on rural revitalization is more pronounced in non-first-tier cities and those with a smaller agricultural labor force. Interestingly, the effectiveness of digital infrastructure in fostering rural revitalization does not vary with the degree of regional marketization. These findings have important policy implications for the government to popularize the construction of rural digital infrastructure, fully tap the potential of digital technology in rural revitalization, and accelerate the promotion of rural revitalization.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":100773,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Digital Economy","volume":"3 ","pages":"Pages 103-116"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"143162915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
