Thereupon, the new emphases on sustainability of transportation system in megalopolis are creating new demands for adequate approach to measure its performance and diagnosis potential drawbacks. By examining the descriptions of sustainable transport system as well as its evaluating approach, a framework with the general applicability and easily accessible data resource for evaluating sustainability of transport system in megalopolis is developed based on nature of regional structure and the feature transport demand in megalopolis. It appears appropriate to work on a hypothesis of renovation both of the favela buildings the hills are studded with and of the streets and public spaces that have no identification yet. This is the occasion to provide informal settlements with urban dignity granting them a tourist appeal, inevitably linked to the security issue, constantly threatened by unorganized crime and narco-traffic.

In Florianópolis, the capital of the state of Southern Brazil Santa Catarina, projects of social housing for an elegant urban acquisition are not necessary; what is important is to work on infrastructural equipment, on natural nets, to bring them to light and enhance them as an instrument for development perspectives in a tourist key. Informal settlements are often in the landscape, hiding it: regeneration projects must reveal it in order to cure it, making of it the treasure of the city. The suggested tourism will never become voyeurism or safari of misery if a constant checking of community participation is the test paper for the success of the project.

The project which starts in Italian and Brazilian projects, will be introduced to the involved community by means of artistic and handcraft installations, capable of making it easy to share, simulations with prototypes that can become a system: a canvas covering a public space, the bright color of a façade with the notes of a samba school imprinted, a self propelled urban garden made with wooden boxes.

The perspective for the research is very interesting, providing for the enlargement of the graduate school Habitaçao e Cidade to the “Florianópolis case”. This school has developed in São Paulo by the Escola da Cidade, with the involvement of the technicians of the municipality. So it would become in a real international master, with a request for funding of European funds Erasmus Plus, that would allow the movement of Italian graduates ready to make an experience on the topic of “informal city” in Brazil.

","PeriodicalId":100649,"journal":{"name":"IERI Procedia","volume":"9 ","pages":"Pages 88-93"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1016/j.ieri.2014.09.046","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75383403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, in multi-hop wireless networks, Bandwidth-Delay Product cannot reveal the network condition accurately. In this paper, we define a new metric called Delay-Bandwidth Product (DBP) for wireless networks, which measures the capacity of a one-hop pipe in wireless networks. Wireless networks with a large DBP can have a throughput larger than the one based on traditional understanding. We propose a scheduling algorithm aims for making use of the large DBP in wireless networks. We then design simulations to figure out how much throughput gains can be achieved in wireless networks, with small DBPs and large DBPs respectively. The simulation result demonstrates that we can achieve significant throughput gains in wireless networks with large DBP.

","PeriodicalId":100649,"journal":{"name":"IERI Procedia","volume":"10 ","pages":"Pages 153-159"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1016/j.ieri.2014.09.070","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85750005","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

If the produced compost meets the legal requirements for application to agricultural land, it is suitable for application in the soil. Low-quality composts that cannot be applied to soils or for which there is no demand can be energy utilized for co-incineration with fuels of high calorific value. Compost pelletization represents a type of processing that makes the handling of the material easier and enables more accurate dosing. Mechanical properties were determined for the produced pellets. The average durability of pellets expressed as the Pellet Durability Index was 94.1%. The average pellet hardness expressed as the load value was 17.5kg. We find that the positive effect of real estate investment on economic growth is stronger in short term while in long term turn to be negative. Therefore housing investment is an important factor for short-term economy fluctuations and lead to downside risk in the long term. The effect of real estate investment also rely on the regional economy development and has periodic characteristics, which is stronger in the eastern region than the midwest region and the negative enduring impact is strengthened after 2004. Also, all environmental scanning and analysis methods in literature conduct for the current /short-term to help policy/decision makers in strategic decisions process. The core idea of our research paper is to develop an intelligent environmental scanning approach (IESA) to generate more justifiable estimation for long-term strategic view. In addition, our IESA supports policy/decision makers to reduce the future uncertainty and stimulates the domain experts to identify the major futures drivers of a specific domain. This support deals with providing new levels of awareness situation that may lead to more efficient and effective decision making process. Moreover, our IESA enhances and integrates RT-Delphi, Ontology KB, Explanation, PESTEEL, SWOT and Structural analysis methods to generate large-scale participatory approach to help policy/decision makers for long-term environmental scanning.
