So web-based models are playing a critical role within companies, especially in the generation of value of supply chain. After calculating calibration parameters of images using Matlab Toolbox designed by J.Y Bouguet as a prior step for the above purpose, the researcher designed rectification hardware based on the algorithms of Heikkilä and Silven. When stereo cameras are installed, it becomes difficult to find corresponding points owing to geometric errors between the cameras. However, in case corresponding points are located in the same line in two images, corresponding points can be found only in the line and therefore calculation becomes simple and errors are reduced. The line where the corresponding points are situated is called an epipolar line. In order to make the lines become an epipolar line, geometric image transformation technique called rectification should be used. Here, in order to heighten precision of result images, the researcher employed a floating point calculator generated using a core generator of Xilinx. Through this, it was verified that rectification hardware which has higher precision than other rectification hardware designed using a look-up table and which operates on a real-time basis may be designed.</p></div>","PeriodicalId":100649,"journal":{"name":"IERI Procedia","volume":"6 ","pages":"Pages 39-44"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1016/j.ieri.2014.03.007","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74949396","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hadoop is an open source implementation MapReduce and widely used by vast amount of users. It provides an abstracted environment for running large scale data intensive applications in a scalable and fault tolerant manner. There are several Hadoop scheduling algorithms are proposed in the literature with various performance goals. In this paper, a new optimal task selection scheme is introduced in to assist the scheduler when multiple local tasks are available for a node. To improve the probability of percentage of local tasks launched for a job in future, the task which has least number of replicas of input, individual load of disks attached to the node and maximum expected time to wait for next local node is launched among the available local tasks for a node. The proposed method was evaluated by extensive experiments and it has been observed that the method improves the performance significantly. Restoration is an activity that initiates or accelerates the recovery of an ecosystem. It can be defined as the set of actions taken in order to reverse or reduce the damage caused in the territory. In the case of the Canary Islands there is a high possibility for the territory to suffer processes that degrade the environment, given that the islands are very fragile ecosystems. Added to this they are territories isolated from the continent, which complicates the process of restoring them. In this paper, the different types of common degraded areas in the Canary Islands are identified, as well as the proposed solutions for remediation, such as afforestation of agricultural land or landfill closure and restoration.</p></div>","PeriodicalId":100649,"journal":{"name":"IERI Procedia","volume":"8 ","pages":"Pages 77-82"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1016/j.ieri.2014.09.013","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79886565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, scientific contributions based on “neurological” investigative techniques have been developed on consumer behaviors. They have a relevant interest in the scientific community because they can be a valid instrument to understand the cognitive and emotional processes on “the preferences expressed”. Chemical analysis of water indicates its suitability for irrigation purposes. Rivers, streams and groundwater are the important potential sources of irrigation water in Ogun State, Southwestern Nigeria. A study was therefore carried out to determine the quality of different sources (rivers and groundwater) of irrigation, in some local government areas of Ogun state. These include Abeokuta north, Ifo, Obafemi-Owode and Odeda. The physio-chemical properties of the sampled water were determined. Results revealed that, generally the quality of the water sources is good and suitable for irrigation. The chloride ions levels in all the water sources are within recommended limits. However, in some locations of the groundwater sampled, pH range of between 4.8 and 6.3 was observed showing it is acidic. This may be as a result of the presence of high concentrations of ferric and ferrous ions in the groundwater. The mean values of the conductivity, total dissolved solids and sodium ions were found to be 57% higher in groundwater than those of surface water. The implication of this is that while the rivers can easily be used to irrigate the different crops grown in this area, some level of proper irrigation management must be applied when using groundwater for irrigation so as to sustain the environmental management.</p></div>","PeriodicalId":100649,"journal":{"name":"IERI Procedia","volume":"9 ","pages":"Pages 123-128"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1016/j.ieri.2014.09.051","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91152833","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
