Il convient tout d’abord de réadapter les habitudes de toilette et d’hydratation en cas de passage d’un climat tropical vers un climat tempéré. Ainsi, la diminution du nombre de douches quotidiennes, l’arrêt des frottements et l’utilisation d’émollients hydratants plutôt que gras permettent souvent de retrouver un confort et un résultat esthétique satisfaisants. Les cosmétiques dépigmentants ont, quant à eux, moins d’effet sur la dyschromie que les traitements étiologiques, les soins cicatrisants et l’évitement des gestes traumatiques (frottement, gommage et grattage). En cas de dépigmentation volontaire, en plus de l’arrêt progressif des produits utilisés, l’emploi de crèmes cicatrisantes et un accompagnement psychologique vers l’acceptation des séquelles sont utiles. En ce qui concerne les cheveux crépus, des agents graissants et des crèmes démêlantes sont indiqués ; la limitation des traumatismes comme la traction ou le défrisage est à encourager. Les désagréments liés au rasage et à l’épilation sont davantage corrigés par la suppression des traumatismes et les traitements médicaux que par les cosmétiques. Enfin, la survenue plus tardive du vieillissement cutané, en raison de l’abondance de la mélanine, rend l’emploi des soins anti-âge peu utile.</div></div><div><div>Cosmetic skin and hair care products have a number of special features for dark phototypes and frizzy hair. First, when moving from a tropical to a temperate climate, it is important to readjust the skin's cleansing and moisturising habits. Reducing the number of daily showers, stopping rubbing and using moisturising rather than greasy emollients can often restore comfort and achieve a satisfactory aesthetic result. Depigmenting cosmetics have less effect on dyschromia than aetiological treatments, healing care and avoiding traumatic gestures (rubbing, scrubbing and scratching). In the case of voluntary depigmentation, in addition to gradually stopping using the products, the use of healing creams and psychological support to help people accept the after-effects are useful. In the case of frizzy hair, greasing agents and detangling creams are recommended, and limiting trauma such as pulling or straightening should be encouraged. The discomforts associated with shaving and depilation are better corrected by eliminating trauma and medical treatments than by cosmetics. Finally, the later onset of skin ageing, due to the abundance of melanin, makes the use of anti-ageing skin care products of little use.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":100088,"journal":{"name":"Annales de Dermatologie et de Vénéréologie - FMC","volume":"5 2","pages":"Pages 169-173"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"143682308","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Affecting 0.5-1% of the general population, it significantly impacts quality of life. In the age of biological treatments, antibiotics continue to be an important therapeutic option for managing HS. However, they are not curative, as relapses or the development of new lesions are common after discontinuation. Given the disease's high prevalence, antibiotic use should be carefully limited, tailored to the clinical severity, and aligned with specific therapeutic goals, as part of a comprehensive multidisciplinary treatment plan. Currently, antibiotics are typically used to manage mild cases (Hurley stage 1), acute flare-ups, and severe cases before a biologic or for patients that are resistant to biologic therapies (Hurley stages 2 and 3). The role of antibiotics in the preoperative management of severe lesions is still under investigation.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":100088,"journal":{"name":"Annales de Dermatologie et de Vénéréologie - FMC","volume":"5 2","pages":"Pages 2S14-2S20"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"143519400","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
