Coupled with the pressures of inflation (June, 2022) and the paucity of funds available from both governmental sources and private donations (Zusman, 2005), the typical secondary school has attempted to make do financially by increasingly relying on part-time adjunct and untenured faculty to whom they offer fewer benefits and lower salaries (Colby, 2023). This approach to cutting costs has predictably lowered the quality of education (Bettinger & Long, 2010) despite the fact that business schools have long been criticized about the relevance of their courses and the low quality of business graduates (Mintzberg, 2004).The purpose of this special edition is to address selected social justice issues facing society that also affect business schools. These papers have substantial importance for society in the 21st century. Each of these papers addresses factors associated with the moral responsibilities of business education in a world where business schools are under tremendous pressure to improve their quality – despite the fact that their resources are often limited. We begin the paper by briefly addressing the general issue of moral responsibility and its specific application to schools of business. We define moral responsibility, identify duties owed to several business school stakeholders, and offer six recommendations for business school administrators, accrediting bodies, and faculty. We then briefly introduce the articles contained in this special edition and explain their contribution to social justice issues.","PeriodicalId":9554,"journal":{"name":"Business, Management and Economics Research","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86273433","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

That onboarding process builds or undermines trust and can leave a lasting impression on the new employee. Unfortunately, the onboarding process in most organizations is poorly handled and new faculty are frequently given less than a week to prepare their courses and to learn the policies of their employer – a time frame that is far from adequate and that has a negative impact on teaching effectiveness. The aim of this research is to find the awareness level and frequency of using FinTech during and after COVID-19. We also study FinTech in the terms of geographical profile of respondents. \u0000Design/methodology/approach- The data used in this research are both Primary and Secondary. Primary data was gathered from 143 respondents through online structured questionnaire. The survey was conducted in the State Haryana. The study is descriptive and exploratory in nature. Findings- The findings of the paper revealed that the frequency and the use of Digital financial services and FinTech increased after the pandemic. The needs of the people increase its demand. Further, the geographic profile of respondents has no influence on the use of FinTech but gender and annual income have significant influence on the frequency of using DFS on monthly basis. Practical implications- Based on the findings, the awareness level and frequency of using FinTech has been revealed. Suggestions and Recommendations have also been passed on how FinTech helps in accelerating financial inclusion and how the use of FinTech can be increased in the rural areas. Originality/value- The use of FinTech is increasing day by day, there is a need to analyse the use of FinTech amongst the section of population, especially those who are living in rural areas. This research also examines the role of FinTech in accelerating financial Inclusion. The motive of financial inclusion is also to provide financial services to each and every section of society including rural areas. Nevertheless, the approval of composite materials in all engineering disciplines is constrained due to its susceptibility to various kinds of defects during manufacturing stage viz porosity, foreign body inclusion, incorrect fiber volume, bonding defect, fiber misalignment, ply misalignment, incorrect curing cycle, wavy fiber, ply cracking, delamination, fiber microstructural defects etc. Hence there was a requirement of techniques to somehow overcome these defects during the service life of composites being used in various structures and equipment. This promising field of research has made great progress over the past several years, but many procedural encounters are still to be overcome, and there exists a great need for focused research to address several areas of concern. On the other hand, nature has materials that have curing potential and repair strategies ensuring their survival. Sustained development in the field will produce new curing chemistries that possess greater stability, faster kinetics. Tailor-made placement of curing agents is dynamic research subject at the cutting edge of self-curing. New bio-imitative curing agents are closely connected to vascular networks. The purpose of this technical paper is to sort the methodology in line with ongoing research efforts in composites. A perspective on current and future self-curing approaches using this biomimetic technique is offered.","PeriodicalId":9554,"journal":{"name":"Business, Management and Economics Research","volume":"40 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90205116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This question is particularly important in times of exogenous shocks such as Brexit and COVID-19 when various sectors frequently experience a contraction of business activity. Putnam’s theory can help explain cooperation and long-term resilience among companies when business conditions radically change. Trustworthy companies can be named ‘hard-riders’, as they are good at creating social relationships and rewarding their trading partners through social recognition and continued cooperation. With their capacity for contact intensity, hard riders receive an extra social benefit to reinforce trust-based cooperation. Survey responses from 193 participants in our new database (DanComTrust) on British and Danish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) show that there is a significant effect from both contact intensity and trust intensity on belief in the future when tested individually in logit models. However, when both variables are included, all effects from contact intensity disappear and only trust intensity remains significant, indicating that the effect from contact intensity works through trust. These results suggest that a high level of contact intensity will increase the trust between cooperating companies, resulting in a greater belief in the future. This insight is relevant for maintaining and building future resilience between companies and their trading partners within and outside the EU.","PeriodicalId":9554,"journal":{"name":"Business, Management and Economics Research","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73907929","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
