This happens because children experience a phase of adaptation in a new environment, such as a school environment. The handling of children's communication anxiety is carried out by family communication and games. The purpose of this article is to describe the state of the art about children's communication anxiety and games using the literature review method in a scientific journal for two years (2022-2023). As a result, ten journals specifically discuss anxiety in early childhood and various media games, four journals in 2022 and eight journals in 2023. The game media used to reduce anxiety in early childhood are hand puppets, snake and ladders, puzzles, coloring and origami, and roleplaying. The game media is considered capable of overcoming the problem of child anxiety because the child world is playing so children can describe their emotions better.","PeriodicalId":91905,"journal":{"name":"Journal of family and consumer sciences","volume":"33 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135978385","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the keys to a prosperous future for children is knowing the impact of screen time on children's well-being. This systematic literature review aims to provide an overview of the influence of screen time on early childhood well-being from existing empirical evidence. Using the PRISMA principles, this literature review identified 23 relevant studies from scopus indexed articles (Q1-Q4). The research subjects were children and mothers. The analysis grouped themes and displayed the interconnectedness of emerging themes using VosViewer software. The results of the systematic literature review showed that generally screen time has a negative impact on early childhood well-being in the physical and psychosocial dimensions. The impact of screen time on the cognitive dimension is negative and positive. The negative impact of screen time on the cognitive dimension of early childhood well-being includes delays in early childhood language development. Meanwhile, the positive impact of screen time on the cognitive dimension of early childhood well-being is that the media and tools in learning become more interesting. The results of this literature review have implications for the importance of providing insight to various stakeholders about the impact of screen time on early childhood well-being in various conditions.","PeriodicalId":91905,"journal":{"name":"Journal of family and consumer sciences","volume":"110 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135979051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

 The family has an important role in preventing and reducing stunting cases. Family is the smallest unit in society. Family has a real influence on children's health and nutrition. Efforts to be a family role have an effectively positive impact on high rates of stunting. Family has responsibilities to provide healthy food and nutritious food to children, and families have to create a healthy environment and provide good stimulation for children's growth. In addition, the role of the family also involves education and understanding of good nutrition, disease prevention, and maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation for children. Families also have an essential role in accessing and using public health services, like visiting a midwife, nurse, or doctor, doing immunizations for children, and monitoring children's growth at health facilities. This study confirms that the influence of social, economic, and health variables has a significant influence on the high incidence of stunting in Bekasi Regency. Several variables such as the Growth Risk of stunting families, prospective PUS, and catin (calon pengantin) access to health services are the causes of the high incidence of stunting in children in Bekasi Regency.","PeriodicalId":91905,"journal":{"name":"Journal of family and consumer sciences","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135978599","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a profession, family and consumer sciences/home economics mandates that its practitioners hold deep obligations to the public they serve. Thus, morally- bound practice cannot go unchecked. Family and consumer sciences (FCS) professionals can bolster their professional accountability if they embrace eight professional imperatives, which range from the abstract and the theoretical to the concrete. These include being philosophically grounded, ethically compelled, morally obligated, values oriented, ideologically aware, theoretically mature, intellectually savvy, and competent and skilled. When embraced, these imperatives will better ensure professional accountability by FCS practitioners.","PeriodicalId":91905,"journal":{"name":"Journal of family and consumer sciences","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135298239","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
