Xu","doi":"10.4172/2090-4886.1000134","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4172/2090-4886.1000134","url":null,"abstract":"Despite being the most efficient automatic repeat request (ARQ) protocol, the selective-repeat ARQ (SR-ARQ) is previously thought to be infeasible in underwater acoustic communications owing to the half-duplex property of typical underwater acoustic modems. However, with the help of the juggling-like stop-and-wait (JSW) transmission scheme, it has now become feasible. In this paper, we evaluate the delivery delay (consisting of transmission and resequencing delays) of the SR-ARQ operating over the JSW scheme under the static assumption that the relative radial velocity between the transmitter and the receiver is zero, aiming to provide system designers with a valuable reference for delay evaluation under more general scenarios. We model the underwater acoustic channel as a two-state Discrete Time Markov Channel, and derive the closed-form expression for the delivery delay under heavy traffic situation. Unlike most analytical approaches for the delay analysis of SR-ARQ in terrestrial communications whose computational complexities grow exponentially with round-trip delay, our proposed analytical approach is immune to the round-trip delay. This also makes our approach suitable for terrestrial communications. From the traditional perspective of an airline, an interesting airplane is one that is capable of generating the highest revenue with minimum cost-a maximum profit airplane. In later years, however, the airline industry is swiftly broadening its consideration of what constitutes a nice-to-buy airplane. Not only economics but also environmental considerations are taking part in fleet-planning considerations-a trend spurred by environmental-aware passengers. In a move to comply with this trend, airplane conceptual design has incorporated methodologies for preliminary assessment of airplane noise and emissions. As more approaches become available to address these issues, the choice between the most suitable methodologies becomes tougher. The present work analyzes some methodologies in order to select a subset of them. The objective is the evaluation of such methodologies and their integration into a framework to airliner conceptual design. In order to test the design methodologies and the optimization techniques, the authors selected two test airplane categories: first, a long range, transcontinental jet; and a mid-size regional jet. In this research we suggest system architecture for smart healthcare, based on a novel WSN. Our system particularly targets assisted-living residents and others who may help from continuous remote health monitoring. We present the objectives, advantages, and status of the design. An experimental livelihood space has been constructed at the Department of Biomedical Engineering (DBE) at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) for assessment of our system. More importantly, these paint layers not only provide appealing color effects, but also have important functions such as rust prevention and waterproofing. MANET is more vulnerable to different types of attacks and security threats because of its characteristics of mobility and dynamic nature. Intrusion means any set of action that attempts to compromise the integrity, confidentiality, availability of resources. We are implementing EAACK secure acknowledge based IDS to remove the drawbacks of Watchdog. By using the schemes of EAACK we propose a cooperative, dynamic hierarchical intrusion detection architecture that addresses these challenges while finding specific and conventional attacks in MANET. The structural design is organized as a dynamic hierarchy in which data is acquired at the leaves and is incrementally aggregated, reduced, and analyzed as it flows upward toward the root. To maintain communications effectiveness, the hierarchy is automatically reconfigured as desired using clustering techniques in which cluster heads are selected based on topology and other criteria. The usefulness of the architecture is demonstrated via black hole attack scenarios in which attack is detected and removed. To locate the user accurately, a comprehensive Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) with five states is developed. Five different error reduction methods are employed to estimate the errors of all five states. These error reduction methods feed EKF independently, at stance phases or different time intervals of swing phases. The navigation system is developed using the accelerometer and gyroscope measurements and without magnetometer, thus it is insensitive to the presence of metal and magnetic fields, and it is able to estimate the user’s tracked trajectory with the same accuracy in both indoor and outdoor environments. The system does not rely on the measurement from external infrastructure (e.g., RFID). To evaluate the accuracy of the system, several experimental tests are carried out over the known trajectories. Based on sensor management and collaborative signal and information processing, low-capacity low-cost sensors are strategically deployed to guide and cue scarce highperformance sensors in the network to improve the data quality, with which the mission is eventually completed more efficiently with lower cost. We focus on the problem of designing such a network system in which issues of resource selection and allocation, system behavior and capacity, target behavior and patterns, the environment, and multiple constraints such as the cost must be addressed simultaneously.
