The second article presents theosis as a New Testament and evangelical doctrine. This first article presents theosis as a biblical and historical doctrine. The first major section of this article analyzes the main biblical texts for the doctrine of theosis; their interpretation and appropriation for theosis. The second major section of this article gives an overview of historical development of the doctrine of theosis, from the beginning of Christian thought to modern era. It shows that theosis was not limited to Eastern theologians but was also represented in the West in certain mainstream theologians and movements. Because of its biblicity and historicity, theosis should be considered an essential historical doctrine of the Church.","PeriodicalId":91167,"journal":{"name":"Revista Kairos : gerontologia","volume":"59 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80249023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By using the Internet, the Church communicates on a local level to its local church but also on a broader scale at the global level, thus fulfilling its mission of proclaiming the Gospel “to all the nations.” The paper talks about the need of using the Internet and social networks for evangelism, as a medium for communicating the message of salvation and hope in Jesus Christ. By analyzing the usage of the Internet in Evangelical churches in Croatia we gain an insight into the current condition and the possibility of a more efficient way of using the new media in proclaiming the Good News.","PeriodicalId":91167,"journal":{"name":"Revista Kairos : gerontologia","volume":"48 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87949980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

What is the relationship between the Church and the media? What should be the relationship between these two subjects that are oriented for large audiences? Should there even be a relationship between them? What is the character of the subjects building this relationship? Should the media have any sort of relationship with the Church, and vice-versa? These are some of the questions that arise when we think about the relationship between the media and churches. Both subjects have a common element in their activities: a relationship with a large number of users. Even more so, both the churches and the media need to build mutual relationships which will contribute to improving and achieving their interests and to developing various groups as well as individuals that they are targeting. On the one hand, the Church is tasked with proclaiming the Good News to the nations, while the media in their work try to communicate various information to as many users. In this way, both the church and the media meet their function of reaching massive audiences. Can churches use some of these media in fulfilling its task, or can some of the media use churches for promoting their products? These are questions which are sometimes burdensome but are primarily meant to enrich the fields of both subjects’ activities.","PeriodicalId":91167,"journal":{"name":"Revista Kairos : gerontologia","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88439409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Posebna se pozornost posvećuje pitanju može li se u bilo kojem smislu to poslanje smatrati uspješnim te treba li ga nastaviti u budućnosti. Predstavlja se ključna razlika između Lukina prikaza kršćanskog poslanja Židovima te Lukina tumačenja toga poslanja. Stoga se prvi dio članka prije svega bavi pitanjem kako Luka prikazuje reakciju Židova na kršćansko poslanje, dok se u drugom dijelu istražuje način na koji Luka tumači njihovu reakciju. Zaključak ove studije jest da Lukina namjera nije bila pokazati da je poslanje Židovima bilo neuspješno zbog njihove negativne reakcije, kao ni da je bilo uspješno zbog njihove pozitivne reakcije, već da je ono postiglo svoj cilj i ima svoju budućnost, unatoč pretežno negativnoj reakciji Židova.","PeriodicalId":91167,"journal":{"name":"Revista Kairos : gerontologia","volume":"135 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86361203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Strongly influenced by the epistle to the Romans, we perceive holiness as being in right relation to God and righteousness being a practical consequence of this relationship. Holiness as the inner nature of God brings fruits of His righteousness, which is God’s saving activity. However, in the light of Christ and his sacrificial death and resurrection, relational, and eschatological perspectives of the dikaiosyne theou concept become crucial. This concept stands at the heart of Paul’s gospel and anticipates several layers of meaning, primarily God’s redeeming and saving activity, but also covenantal faithfulness and restorative justice brought by God and made available for all. Wider perspective is provided through the faithfulness of Jesus and his obedience to the Father in fulfilling salvific purposes. For us, it means a transformational and relational way of living in an eschatological perspective. Christian ethics are deeply grounded in the concept of dikaiosyne theou, and Christian conduct represents its practical and necessary expression. People living in genuine Christian community are marked by the righteousness of God expressed as agape and progressively transformed by the presence and involvement of his Holy Spirit. Such people involve themselves in a continuous process of discovering new opportunities to affirm God’s righteousness. Thus, the Christian community of faith needs to be inclusive in its nature.","PeriodicalId":91167,"journal":{"name":"Revista Kairos : gerontologia","volume":"65 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76994479","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Drugi dio bavi se institucijom braka u judaizmu, samom ceremonijom sklapanja braka te raznim praktičnim pitanjima koja mogu izniknuti tijekom sklapanja braka i kasnije, primjerice ketubom i razvodom. U posljednjem dijelu ovoga članka autor nastoji prikazati stav judaizma prema nasilju nad ženama, posebno prema premlaćivanju i silovanju, te završava pogledom judaizma na to kako bismo trebali postupati sa suprugama i kako su se poznati rabini ponašali prema svojim ženama. Autor analizira navedene teme u starozavjetnim spisima Biblije, u židovskome pravu i rabinskoj literaturi od talmudskih vremena do danas. It is considered canonical by the Catholics and the Orthodox believers, but not by Protestants and the Jews. The story is not historical but fictional, with a very dynamic narrative, containing numerous lessons in the spirit of the OT, particularly those relating to Deuteronomy theology. The central theme of the book is marriage and the ideal marriage is portrayed in terms of physical purity, struggling against lust, faithfulness, monogamy, and the permanence of the marriage covenant. It is pointed out in many places that love, fondness, and consideration are necessary for a successful marriage. Another important condition is the endogamy of marriage, so that the spouses would be able to keep and practice their faith more easily. And finally, prayer as the expression of trust in God is posited as the foundation of a marriage whose purpose transcends the erotic and procreative functions and emphasis is also placed on the importance of consecration. So in a fun way, Tobit offers a moral lesson which ties in with Biblical morality.","PeriodicalId":91167,"journal":{"name":"Revista Kairos : gerontologia","volume":"8 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88450598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Kr. Kanonskom je smatraju katolici i pravoslavni, a protestanti i Židovi ne. Pripovijest nije historijska, nego fiktivna, vrlo dinamične fabule, pri čemu sadrži brojne pouke u starozavjetnom duhu, napose deuteronomističke teologije. Brak joj je središnja tema, a ideal braka predstavlja tjelesna čistoća, borba protiv požude, vjernost, monogamnost i trajnost ženidbenog saveza. Na više mjesta prikazuje se kako su ljubav, privrženost i obzirnost nužni za uspješan brak. Važan je uvjet i endogamnost ženidbe, kako bi supružnici lakše sačuvali i prakticirali vjeru. Na koncu se molitva – kao izraz povjerenja u Boga – postavlja kao temelj braka čija svrha nadilazi erotsku i prokreativnu funkciju, a ističe se važnost posvećivanja. Knjiga o Tobiji tako u zabavnom obliku čitatelju nudi moralnu pouku koja se nadovezuje na biblijski moral.","PeriodicalId":91167,"journal":{"name":"Revista Kairos : gerontologia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82326615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
