Toxic chemicals affect the functions of the body's organs negatively. Plant extracts and natural products are considered to have effective nutritional and medicinal benefits. Recently, there is an increasing interest in plant extracts and natural products and their effectiveness in treating many diseases. The principal aim of the present study was occurred to evaluate the protective influence of moringa oil and okra oil against thioacetamide (TAA) induced cardiotoxicity in Wistar male rats. Experimental rats were divided into six groups. Rats of group 1 were used as controls. Group 2 was treated with TAA (300 mg/kg body weight). Group 3 was exposed to moringa oil (800 mg/kg body weight) plus TAA. Group 4 was treated with okra oil (800 mg/kg body weight) plus TAA. Groups 5 and 6 were treated with moringa oil and okra oil respectively. TAA treatment caused significant increases of serum creatin kinase (CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels in group 2, while the levels of serum reduced glutathione (GSH) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were statistically decreased. Administration of moringa oil and okra oil reduced the severity alterations of these parameters. These new results indicate that moringa oil and okra oil represent protective effect against cardiotoxicity induced by TAA due to their antioxidant roles.","PeriodicalId":90815,"journal":{"name":"Current science international","volume":"114 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69660680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Heavy metals are chemical pollutants whose levels increase in water, air and soil, which leads to a threat to the stability of ecosystem and the sustainable development. Contamination of heavy metals in the environment is a major global concern. Recently, the industrial and agricultural activities have caused massive increases in human, animals and plants exposure to heavy metals. Lead (Pb) is considered one of the heavy metals and is characterized by its high risk and toxic effects on living organisms. The health problems caused by Pb have been well documented over a wide range of exposures on every continent. Pb toxicity has been recognized as a major public health risk. This article reviews recent updates regarding the toxicological profiles of heavy metals. The focus was on Pb toxicity and this review covers the range of Pb exposures and its effects on several organs of body.","PeriodicalId":90815,"journal":{"name":"Current science international","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69660733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Egypt, School gardens are becoming more challenging over the years and the playgrounds are becoming poorer, School façades are typical and boring. In addition, we find severe waste of water in toilets, hand washing basins, and others. Vertical green can improve the environment in urban areas; it can improve the environmental performance of buildings and the economic performance through reducing heating and cooling costs. On social perspective, green walls may have a positive impact on both physical and mental health. The research seeks to create an educational vertical garden, Suggesting new educational uses to boost interaction and creativity. In this way, space will become an instrument of new knowledge and highlight importance of sustainable development. The research paper concludes by proposing green vertical wall for the school building blocks.","PeriodicalId":90815,"journal":{"name":"Current science international","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69660300","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The experimental mice were divided into four groups. The mice of the first group were served as control. The experimental animals of the second group were given 150 mg/kg body weight of TAA by intraperitoneal injection, twice weekly, for 8 weeks. The mice of the third group were exposed to TAA and supplemented with L. dentata leaves extracts. The animals of the fourth group were supplemented with L. dentata leaves extracts. The levels of plasma alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, gamma-glutamyl transferase, alkaline phosphatase were significantly decreased. Histopathological evaluations of hepatic sections from mice treated with TAA showed severe alterations including increase of fibrogenesis processes with structural damage. Administration of L. dentata leaves extracts reduced extent and development of fibrous septa, liver cells change, and biochemical alterations in mice exposed to TAA. The present findings suggests that the supplementation of these extract may act as antioxidant agents and could be an excellent adjuvant support in the therapy of hepatic fibrosis.","PeriodicalId":90815,"journal":{"name":"Current science international","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69662339","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
