Usually, the retro-rectal tumor formations appear to be asymptomatic for a long period of time. When a patient is symptomatic, s/he most commonly complains about sacral and coccygeal pain (coccygodynia). In our study, we reported a case of patient with precoccygeal epidermoid cyst who was presented with typical low back pain. In conclusion we can state that precoccygeal epidermoid cyst is an extremely rare pathological condition, which although can be the cause of LBP. So, it must be included in the group of the rare causes of LBP and each physician must always be suspicious of such a case, following the diagnostic algorithm.","PeriodicalId":90240,"journal":{"name":"Journal of spine & neurosurgery","volume":" ","pages":"1-3"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46385407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This deficiency leads to deposition of HGA and its products as an ochre-colored pigment in the large joints, intervertebral discs, skin, and within major arteries. Affection of the intervertebral discs mostly occurs at the thoracic and lumbar regions which ultimately results in degeneration, calcification, pseudo-blocked vertebra, and ankyloses in a stepwise manner. Rarely, an affected lumbar disc might herniate into the canal and cause radiculopathy before its calcification. Herein we present two women in whom neuroradiological evaluation of an acute left lower limb radiculopathy revealed a sequestrated L4-L5 disc herniation in both cases. Disc prolapse in these patients was associated with calcification of the thoracic and the upper lumbar intervertebral discs, compatible with ochronosis. Following removal of the pigmented disc material, both patients exhibited marked recovery. With careful review of the literature, we found that besides our cases, only 19 cases have been published previously","PeriodicalId":90240,"journal":{"name":"Journal of spine & neurosurgery","volume":"2018 1","pages":"1-7"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70254654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is a surgical procedure which removes the disc tissue and places bone between the vertebral bodies. The purpose of this operation is to connect the vertebra that causes pain around the bone. It is assumed that the discomfort would be reduced substantially by removing the disc tissue and reducing movement. The specific indications, limitations, technique, pitfalls, and complications of the procedure of Cervical Disc Arthroplasty (CDA), compared to (Anterior Cervical Discectomy & Fusion ) ACDF, and the relative predisposition of both procedures to the ( Adjacent Segment Disease ) in process. Radiographic evidence of adjacent segment degeneration (ASDeg) following anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) was, however, recognized to exceed 50 percent within 10 years, while the annual incidence of symptomatic adjacent segment disease (ASD-ASD is a neurological and developmental condition that begins early in infancy and persists for a person's life. It affects how one person behaves, interacts, communicates, and connects with others. This encompasses what used to be called the Asperger syndrome and omnipresent developmental disabilities. It is considered a \"spectrum\" condition since a variety of symptoms can occur in people with ASD. People with ASD can have difficulty talking to you, or when you talk to them they may not look you in the eye. You may have restricted interests and repetitive behaviors, too. We may be spending a lot of time putting things in order or they could constantly say the same phrase.
