The balloon carries the third version of the gondola with custom-developed electronic device integrating GPS, IoT, data storage and gamma radiation sensors. The radiation is measured by a miniature low-power silicon detector equipped with the plastic scintillator. The gondola enables to track the balloon during the whole stratospheric flight. The IoT network simplifies reception of the telemetry data on the ground.","PeriodicalId":89777,"journal":{"name":"International journal of applied science and technology","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84499871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample of the study consisted of (20) students from the Syrian refugees affiliated to Jerash district in North Jordan. An instructional program was formed by using cooperative strategy to teach selected athletics activities along with some physical abilities. The program was applied for six weeks in order to identify its impact on improving performance of the pupils in the dependent measures.Quasi-experimental approach was chosen as a research design to test the hypothesis of the study.Statistical methods represented by arithmetic means, standard deviations, variation coefficient, correlation coefficients and t-Test were used for data analysis. The results of the study showed that the instructional program based on cooperative learning strategy has a positive effect on learning athletics skill and showed significant enhancements in the level of physical ability tests in post-test measurements. The researchers recommend applying the instructional program based in cooperative learning to teach different athletics curricula.","PeriodicalId":89777,"journal":{"name":"International journal of applied science and technology","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81888909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The failure time of products follows a time-transformed inverse Gaussian dis-tribution. We outline some interesting properties of this highly flexible distribution, present the classical maximum likelihood estimation method, and propose a new Bayesian approach for inference. Simulation studies are carried out to assess the performance of the methods under various settings of parameter values and sample sizes. Real data are analyzed for illustrative purposes to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed Bayesian method over the likelihood-based procedure.","PeriodicalId":89777,"journal":{"name":"International journal of applied science and technology","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86923156","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study was to determine the nutritional and functional potential of sturgeon (Acipenserbaeri) viscera autolysats. By applying enzymatic autolysis of these byproducts, it may be possible to produce autolysis fractions that are very rich in nutrients with very interesting functional properties. Biochemical characterizations of these fractions showed that up to 90% of proteins were concentrated in the supernatant and that more than 50% of the lipids were released in the oil phase. The phosphorus, iron and calcium levels in autolysates deserve alsomore focus on the nutritional benefit from these byproducts. The peptides of the derivatives have very interesting functional properties in the food industries (emulsifying activities, oil and water retention capacities).","PeriodicalId":89777,"journal":{"name":"International journal of applied science and technology","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83719665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The considered system is delay-dependent stable. The system remains stable as delay is increased from zero to a maximum value at which stability is then lost. Using a memoryless stabilization feedback, a sliding surface is constructed through a Lyapunov-Krasovskii scheme so that stability is guaranteed during sliding motion. Once the VSC is applied, simulated results are given and it is shown that sliding mode is achieved for any feasible value of the delay and initial conditions.","PeriodicalId":89777,"journal":{"name":"International journal of applied science and technology","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82501159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although, the use of conventional tuning techniques had been considered suitable in controlling the speed and torque of a BLDC motor, however, these fails to perform satisfactorily in certain conditions especially, when considering the non-linear nature of the motor. Also, using conventional technique to tune the parameters gain of the Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller is a difficult task. To overcome these difficulties, modern heuristic optimization technique are required to optimally tune the PID of the controller for optimal speed and torque control of three phase BLDC motor. The Brushless DC Motor mathematical equation which describes the voltage and corresponding rotational angular speed and torque of the brushless DC motor was derived using electrical DC Machines theorem. The simulation of BLDC model based on GA-PID controller was done using MATLAB 2018a. The simulation result showed that by applying genetic optimization function, there are no transient oscillation in the system response .","PeriodicalId":89777,"journal":{"name":"International journal of applied science and technology","volume":"2009 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89523043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two attendant problems are accidents, and damage to road infrastructure. Weighing stations may be the answer to these conditions, but few are used for measuring the weight of some specific vehicles in Ghana. A vehicle loading monitoring detection using a load sensor and GSM model with an automatic engine lock system is proposed in this study as a solution. The proposed system will detect vehicle overloading and automatically call the owner of the vehicle or the road safety officer in that event. Proteus software is used for designing and simulating the circuit while programming is done using the Arduino software. Microcontroller ATMEGA 328 serves as the brain of the design and Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) module serves as the communication link. A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is used to display the status of the vehicle. In addition, a buzzer is to sound an alarm when vehicle overloading is detected. The system has facilities to lock a vehicle engine automatically.","PeriodicalId":89777,"journal":{"name":"International journal of applied science and technology","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78030600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
