The technology of in vitro fertilization (IVF) opened a new era in the treatment of infertility but at the same time it created new challenges for civil and international private law. This concerns the issues of determining and/or acquiring child citizenship and legal conflicts associated with this. \u0000Materials and methods. This study examines the aspects of obtaining UAE citizenship through the study of the UAE Citizenship Law and the principle of jus sanguinis (right of blood) when citizenship is acquired by a parent’s nationality. The research aims to identify whether the current legislative regulation of the UAE meets the current challenges in the field of family relations against the backdrop of new medical advances in IVF. The paper considers the aspects of the UAE legal regulation in the scope of family law relationships. The above issues were considered from the critical evaluation prospects taking into account the potential ways for their improvement. \u0000Results and Discussion. The problems associated with determining the citizenship for those born as a result of IVF are the subject of discussion, while, as practice shows, the law often does not keep pace with the development of reproductive technologies. Based on the analysis of legal regulation and practice, the study summarizes the grounds for obtaining UAE citizenship by children conceived through IVF and refusals to obtain it. \u0000Conclusion. The paper recommends mitigating the requirement of proof of paternity as a condition to grant the nationality to an IVF child, especially in the case of purely medical errors in which father has no responsibility. \u0000Bangladesh Journal of Medical Science Vol. 22 No. 03 July’23 Page : 676-686

The distribution of patients depending on the virus genotype, the activity degree and the severity of liver fibrosis were found out. Indices of non-specific reactivity, endogenous intoxication and inflammation in the course of СVHC, their dependence on treatment were studied. Correlations between the values of non-specific reactivity, endogenous intoxication, inflammation and patients’ affiliation to the group of injecting drug users, the APRI score, the stage of liver fibrosis and the virus genotype were estimated. Significant increase in endogenous intoxication (LII, HII, ISS), non-specific immunoreactivity (IR, LMR, Ilymph, IA) and inflammation (ILG) at decrease in some endogenous intoxication indices (ISL, NRR) and inflammation (KI, ILESR) in patients with CHCV compared with healthy persons were established.\u0000Result: The decrease in endogenous intoxication indices (LII; HII; ISL; ISS; NRR) were observed during antiviral treatment. Such unambiguous reaction of non-specific immunoreactivity indices and inflammation indices were not observed: some of them increased (Ilymph, IA), some of them decreased (IR, NLR; ELR). KI decreased during the treatment, but ILG increased. Direct correlation between patients’ affiliation to a group of injecting drug patients and the values of HII, NRR (p<0.05), between the APRI score and Ilymph level (p<0.05) was identified.\u0000Conclusion: No correlation between the indices values and fibrosis severity (according to METAVIR) and virus genotype was found.\u0000Bangladesh Journal of Medical Science Vol. 22 No. 03 July’23 Page : 508-514

Around the prepared implant, bone was constructed with definitive differentiation of outer cortical and inner cancellous. Two straight abutment was constructed, crowns of 9mm mesiodistal width and 11mm cervicoincisal length were created and they were cemented with 50 micron meter cemental layer. The bone-implant interface for both the models was bonded, simulating complete osseointegration and the dental implant, abutment and crown were assumed to be connected as a single unit. Force application was performed in both oblique and vertical conditions using 100 N as a representative masticatory force. For oblique loading, a force of 100 N was applied at 45° from the vertical axis. Von Mises stress analysis was evaluated.\u0000Results: The results of the study showed cortical stress in the Titanium and Zirconia model under oblique forces were 81.317 MPa and 78.405 MPa, respectively. Cortical stress in the titanium and zirconia implant model under vertical forces was 46.161 MPa and 46.097 MPa, respectively.\u0000Conclusion: Results from this study showed the zirconia implant model led to relative decrease in von Mises stress in trans cortical section of bone compared to titanium under vertical and oblique forces in anterior maxillary region.\u0000Bangladesh Journal of Medical Science Vol. 22 No. 03 July’23 Page : 521-528

Genetic and epigenetic variations play important roles during the development of obesity.\u0000Method: DNA methylation is the most studied as one of the epigenetic modifications and is directly related to gene expression. Here, the methylation status of FSHR, PTH and ESRRA genes were investigated in obese patients to discover novel associations between DNA methylation and obesity phenotype. A total of 69 patients with obesity and 76 patients without obesity were enrolled in this study. DNA methylation in FSHR, PTH and ESRRA genes was analyzed.\u0000Result: There is a statistically significant association between the methylation status of ESRRA and fasting glucose (P=0.04) and BMI and methylation of the PTH gene (P=0.036) in obese subjects. In non-obese subjects, a statistically significant association was detected between adiponectin, resistin levels and FSHR methylation status. It is concluded that the methylation status of FSHR, PTH and ESRRA genes play an important role in obesity phenotype, adiponectin and resistin levels. These genes had previously been associated with obesity-related variables, but their methylation status was not highlighted.\u0000Conclusion: Our study will shed light on resolving the epigenetic contributions toward the development of obesity. Studies in the field of epigenetics will help discover predisposition markers for obesity. Explicit knowledge of the location of SN is vital for clinicians performing regional nerve blocks to relieve the pain. In the present study, detailed measurements of the supraorbital foramen (SOF) and supraorbital notch (SON) of South Indian skulls are presented, and the data are compared with those from other populations.\u0000Methodology: One hundred SON/SOF were assessed morphometrically from 50 dried adult human skull. Relevant morphometric measurements were performed using Vernier caliper. The parameters used were horizontal and vertical diameters of SON/SOF, distance between SON/SOF from the supraorbital rim; SOF to the nasal skeletal midline; SOF to the temporal crest of the frontal bone, and SOF to the superior wall of the IOF. Data was analyzed using SPSSv16.0.\u0000Results: SON was more frequently found than SOF. The mean distance of SON/SOF to the nasal midline was 24.77 mm on right side and 23.36 mm on left side. The mean distance of SON/SOF to the temporal crest of frontal bone was 30.22 mm on both sides. Mean distance between SON/SOF to infraorbital foramen was 39.71 mm on right side and 40.41 mm on left side. Mean height of SOF was 1.38 mm on the right side and 1.31 mm on the left side.
