The presence of early life events during childhood and of chronic stress during the last year is also investigated. The different kind of responses to LE are described, classified in several categories. The incidence of LE in the patients is compared with that of a group of acute traumatologic hospital inpatients. In every case it has been used the Paykel LE rating scale, the Brown and Harris interview schedule and the GAF. VIP and Neurotensin were found significantly decreased in patients vs a group of 20 controls. Neurotensin levels returned to normal values after recovery. They are a good exponent of its state of growing or consolidation. The first psychiatric journal in Spain appeared in 1865 and 27 years later the next one was founded. None of the three journals which existed in the 19th century continued at the beginning of the 20th century. During the first three decades of this century, nine specialized journals were founded, among which the \"Revista Frenopática Española\" in the first place, and the \"Archivos de Neurobiología\" afterwards, were the most outstanding in our country and the \"Revista Frenopática Española\" was that of the greatest international projection. After studying a sample of 45 patients seen consecutively in the outpatient clinica of a general hospital and evaluating their clinical, evolutive, social-demographical characteristics and the type of medical care received previously, we found an important tendency towards diagnostic error which does not seem to be related to the degree of specialization by the medical practitioner who treated the patient. {"title":"[Frontal lobe involvement and cortical and subcortical deterioration in Parkinson's disease evaluated using quantified electroencephalography].","authors":"A García-Mas,&nbsp;A Rosiñol Far,&nbsp;M Roca Bennasar,&nbsp;J Llinas,&nbsp;J Rossello Mir","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><p>Quantified electroencephalography (EEGq) by means the Fast Fourier Transformed system (FFT) was carried out on two groups of patients with idiopathic Parkinson's Disease (PD). The first one was with symptoms of cortical deterioration, and the second group consisting of subjects without signs of cortical impairment. The study of the specific EEGq indices has led to the establishment of parameters which establish differences between these two groups. Specifically, a difference has been found with regard to the total potentials of delta and alpha frequency bands; alpha/theta index; posterior activities; changes in the lobular antero-posterior of delta and alpha rhythms; and in the distribution of the spatialization index of alpha rhythm.
