Analysis of the messages from one Internet forum made it possible to define the notional borders of loneliness understanding by those who have this feeling. On the basis of received material the author made a classification of the messages according to following aspects – number of responses, context of reasoning, borders of social distance, level of involvement into the discourse of responses’ authors. As a result, it was found that loneliness, long absence of understanding and relation with soulmates, is interpreted as a social deviation. On the contrary, short-term physical loneliness in spatial context is interpreted as normal routine of a reflecting person.","PeriodicalId":85741,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of sociological studies","volume":"25 1","pages":"138-142"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82778314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Taking into account the analysis of conditions for simulating educational practices the author comes to following conclusion: the growth rate of simulating educational practices is a result of modernising content and structure of higher education in Russia, establishing its model, which includes state and market regulation. Higher education without sufficient financial, material, technical, human and other resources leads to simulating educational practices. Such imitation of educational practices by lecturers under current conditions implies, first, streamlining activities, and, second, reacting to their heavy workload. At the same time, it has been revealed that lecturers sabotage the policy of retaining students. The sabotage implies accurate execution of professional responsibilities and avoiding formalism. Simulating educational practices by students includes, first, rationalisation of educational sphere and, second, more or less regular confirming their social status and reaching their aim, i.e. diploma of higher education. The perception of simulating practices by lecturers is contradictory, as they admit the fact of imitation and define its forms, but deny the deviant or delinquent nature of the notion. Students generally admit simulating educational practices and understand its deviant or delinquent nature.","PeriodicalId":85741,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of sociological studies","volume":"50 1","pages":"71-77"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85805832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Рассматриваются оценки рейтинга премьер-министра Армении Н. Пашиняна и эффективность деятельности новой власти, а также степень поддержки населением постпротестной политической элиты и готовность населения вновь участвовать в массовых политических протестах. Сделан вывод, что авторитетность и авторитарность Пашиняна как политического лидера по-прежнему непосредственно зависят не столько от эффективности деятельности парламента и правительства, сколько от прямой коммуникации бывшего лидера «Бархатной революции» с населением через апробированные весной 2018 г. каналы коммуникации (прямые обращения к населению в Фейсбуке, повседневное общение с гражданами и т.п.). Дан прогноз, что снижение популярности органов власти и увеличение разрыва между личным рейтингом Пашиняна и рейтингом других политических сил Армении будет еще больше способствовать актуализации его авторитарного лидерства. С другой стороны, в долгосрочной перспективе именно личная популярность Пашиняна будет испытывать риски потери легитимности в случае неэффективности решения базовых и застарелых (в основном – социально-экономических) проблем. Таким образом, после перехода власти к оппозиции во время «Бархатной революции», которая шла под лозунгами протеста против политического авторитаризма, высока вероятность воспроизводства традиционной авторитарной политической культуры в новом (популистском) формате.","PeriodicalId":85741,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of sociological studies","volume":"12 3","pages":"53-62"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91491228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors present the results of a Russian expert survey carried out by the project «Domestic Political Agenda as a Unity Factor in Modern Russia». Experts’ views on the desired future for Russia, the foundations of value consensus and the problems of building national unity are examined in the paper. The domestic political agenda was analyzed via triple scholarly optics: official (government), civil and public (‘people’s’) agendas, i.e. public request for power. The government and public agendas are the most inharmonious and they need more civil alternatives suggested. The authors note weakness of converting the three forms into each other and the primacy of a foreign policy course, viewing this as a threat to Russia’s unity. All experts showed extraordinary unity in the assertion that there is no consolidated agenda in modern Russia.","PeriodicalId":85741,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of sociological studies","volume":"2 1","pages":"43-52"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76814548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The scale of the marriage emigration increased sharply after the collapse of the USSR. ‘Russian wives’ phenomenon has become a kind of sociocultural brand in the international marriage market. It includes women from Russia and post-Soviet countries who speak Russian and have a Slavic appearance. There were four directions of marriage emigration of Russian and Russian-speaking women: North American, European, Asian, and Middle Eastern. Many ‘Russian wives’ are well adapted and successfully integrated in host countries. Some of them face difficulties and barriers: poor language skills, mental and cultural differences. Sometimes misunderstanding leads to a break in relations with husbands. However, Russian and Russian-speaking women rarely return to their homeland in the case of divorce and try to re-find a husband abroad. Marriage emigration of women from Russia in the vast majority of cases becomes irrevocable, and therefore the country loses its female population, its gene pool. The increase of marriage migration has led to establishment of the infrastructure of the marriage market on international scale. In addition the shadow sector of this market was formed represented by groups engaged in illegal activities related to trafficking.","PeriodicalId":85741,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of sociological studies","volume":"44 9 1","pages":"84-95"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83662583","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Circulation of a forensic expert report represents production of knowledge in the process of interaction between epistemic cultures and its transition from one professional group to another. Drawing on approaches of contemporary sociology of science the author demonstrates that encounters of different viewpoints and practices are an essential part of production and presentation of expert evidence in legal proceedings. Employing Bourdieu’s theory of the juridical field allows the author to reveal an asymmetry of power relations within that field and a relatively weak position of forensic experts. The empirical basis of the study is formed by data of non-participant observation in several Russian courts and interviews with jurists and forensic experts. The article demonstrates an entanglement of structurally and epistemically defined disagreements between representatives of these professional groups. Translation as a form of explication of the results of forensic expert’s analysis is presented in the article as a main means of overcoming these disagreements. At the same time various tactics are used by forensic experts who have to take into account both the peculiarities of epistemic culture of jurists and structural characteristics of the juridical field.","PeriodicalId":85741,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of sociological studies","volume":"2 1","pages":"82-91"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90463589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the work of the links of power and management vertical in modern Russia there are increasingly symptoms of substitution of functions of socially oriented management by functions of digital reporting. The article considers problematic issues related to the manifestations of these two phenomena: justification of hybridization of feedback forms as a social and scientific research problem in conditions of digitalization of public life; summarizing current smart control and digital control practices; analysis of the social impact of digital transformation and digital control; the essence of socially oriented rotation from digital regulation to «smart management».","PeriodicalId":85741,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of sociological studies","volume":"10 1","pages":"74-81"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76625324","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
