The traditional medicinal performance is very precious for the object that comes from thousands of years of experimental and blunder. Plant-based traditional knowledge has become an organized tool in the exploration for new sources of drugs and innovative chemical entity thus producing the basis of recent medicine and therapeutics (Raji et al, 2014). According to the World Health Organization, about 80% of the world's rural population currently relies on medicinal plants as their complementary or alternative source of health care improved efficacy (Chan, 2003). Nowadays the use of herbal plants is growing all over the world for the treatment of various diseases, due to their potential antioxidant activities. It is generally understood that oxidative stress generates a large number of reactive oxygen species / free radicals, which play a significant role in the pathophysiology of many diseases, including inflammatory disorders. Oxidative stress is produced when there is inequality among the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS) and the number of cellular antioxidants that can lead to multiple reactions causing damage or death of cells (Shebis et al., 2013). COVID-19 is caused by the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). SARSCoV-2 infection may be asymptomatic or it may cause a wide spectrum of symptoms, such as mild symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection and life-threatening sepsis. Coronaviruses (CoV) are a family of viruses called Coronaviridae These viruses are zoonotic, that is, they are . transmitted between animals and humans. The SARS-CoV-2 virus belongs to the family of RNA viruses and the genomic sequence ranges from 125 nm or 0.125μm. Corona virus is a single stranded, enveloped RNA in shape having a positive sense RNA genome also known as (+ssRNA) with a 5′-cap structure and 3′-poly-A tail (Chen et al., 2019). There are four essential structural proteins required to regulate the function and viral structure of the virus; which are (E) the envelope protein, (M) the membrane protein, (S) the spike protein, and (N) the nucleocapsid protein (Schoeman et al., 2019). The genome sequencing based research revealed that the coronavirus is a beta-coronavirus belonging to the subtypes Pharmacovigilance of ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 (COVISHIELD) Vaccine after first and second dose in volunteers in Punjab, India Rahat Kumar , Narinder Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Vikram Bhandari *","PeriodicalId":8538,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75515204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The widespread usage of antibiotics both therapeutically and nontherapeutically has led to the development and dissemination of microbial resistance, and resistance genes are the determinants both in the clinical and non-clinical settings (Igbinosa and Odjadjare, 2015). The most prominent causes of antibiotic resistance are a constant inability to enhance or discover new antibiotics, as well as the indiscriminate use of antibiotics (Aslam et al., 2018). AMR poses a substantial risk of mortality and economic instability worldwide. “In contrast, the developing countries are more affected because of the widespread misuse of antibiotics, nonhuman antibiotic use, low quality of drugs, inadequate surveillance, and factors associated with individual and national poverty (poor healthcare standards, malnutrition, chronic and recurring infections, unaffordability of efficient and expensive medications)” (Ayukekbong et al., 2017; Sosa et al., 2010).","PeriodicalId":8538,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology","volume":"57 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80217642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
