Numerous chemical drugs are prescribed as routine treatment for diarrhea, however they have drawbacks. It is possible to recommend a safe and efficient herbal remedy for diarrhea. Medicinal floras have been used as a traditional remedy for diarrhea since ancient times. This article reviews the common medicinal plants that have been scientifically proven to possess antidiarrheal activity.
