In the present study, an inhouse library of 330 ligands was designed taking glycinamido moiety as scaffold. Virtual screening was carried out with this library of compounds against MmaA1 as the target protein. About 55 hits were identified through docking, ADMET studies and these molecules were synthesized by the Schotten-Baumann reaction followed by a nucleophilic substitution reaction. All the compounds were subjected to in vitro anti-Tb screening by microplate alamar blue assay (MABA). The Mdb1, Mdb4 & Meb1 exhibited excellent activity against M. tuberculosis H37Rv bacilli strain with an MIC of 1.56 µg/mL. The SAR studies shows that the aryl ring attached directly to the nitrogen atom as present in 2(-N-substituted glycinamido) derivatives is essential for the compound to exhibit potent anti-TB activity.","PeriodicalId":8494,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Chemistry","volume":"94 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140423810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Biomass carbon derived from Tecoma capensis (TCL) was processed using pyrolysis at a controlled temperature in an eco-friendly, innovative and sustainable way to develop biomass-derived carbon material. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the facile synthesis of porous carbon compounds from biowaste and evaluate their use in supercapacitors. Various analytical methods, such as structural analysis, morphological studies and electrochemical studies, have been employed to characterize the carbon material generated from biomass. Electrochemical performance evaluation was conducted through cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge-discharge studies utilizing 1 M H2SO4 and 1 M KOH aqueous electrolyte, which exhibited a specific capacitance of 238 F g-1. The outcomes of the studies suggested that the eco-friendly, straightforward process can be utilized to prepare biomass carbon for the electrochemical energy storage applications in an efficient and sustainable manner.","PeriodicalId":8494,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Chemistry","volume":"12 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140423205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

S. hamiltoniana mediated silver nanoparticles (SH-Ag NPs) showed a maximum absorbance of 432 nm. Based on the FESEM analysis, the SH-Ag NPs were usually spherical with an average diameter of nm. The FTIR analyses revealed the significance of functional groups in the formation of SH-Ag NPs. Degradation and rate of degradation for textile dyes after 320 min, SH-Ag NPs displayed 88.4%, 79.49%, 0.0059 min-1 and 0.00495 min-1 for reactive blue 220 (RB-220) and reactive blue 222A (RB-222A) dyes. The phytotoxicity study of SH-Ag NPs treated dye solutions demonstrated a significant decrease in inhibitory efficiency when compared to dye effluents. Domin waste as an adsorbent were determined to remove dye pollutants from wastewater. The characteristics of the obtained activated carbon were assessed by performing energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic (FTIR) techniques. The best optimum conditions for removing dye pollutants from wastewater were obtained at 30 mg/L methylene blue dye, 0.02 g of adsorbent and a contact time of 90 min. The maximum adsorption capacity of the activated carbon was 69.44 mg/g and the percentage removal achieved was more than 90%. The methylene blue dye adsorption data of the adsorbent were fitted to the Langmuir isotherm model. The prepared adsorbent was also applied for the removal of different colour dyes from real wastewater samples and found that the percentage removal was 71.3%, 62.7%, 66.3%, 68.4% and 72.0% for dark blue dye, red dye, pink dye, sky blue dye and yellow dye, respectively. These results indicated that the obtained activated carbon is highly effective and suitable adsorbent for removing different types of colour dyes and toxic organic substances from the wastewater. Exceptional resolution between anagrelide and its impurities was accomplished utilizing a Waters Nova Pack C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 4 µm), employing a phosphate buffer with a pH of 4.4 as mobile phase A and a blend of acetonitrile and methanol with buffer in a 30:40:30 v/v/v ratio as mobile phase B. The column oven was maintained at 35 ºC and the mobile phase flowed at a constant rate of 1.0 mL/min, while detection was set at 254 nm. Rigorous validation was conducted to assess accuracy, precision, specificity, linearity and sensitivity. Validation studies have unequivocally established the HPLC method’s precision, specificity, rapidity, reliability and reproducibility. Linearity was ascertained for both anagrelide and its impurities, exceeding an R2 value of 0.95. The limits of detection (LOD) and limit of quantitation (LOQ) were determined to be more than sufficient for precise estimation. This method was validated in accordance with the stringent ICH guidelines. The relative standard deviation (RSD) for intra- day and inter-day precision remained consistently below 5%. Percentage recovery demonstrated excellent agreement, affirming the simplicity, specificity, precision and enhanced accuracy of method for determining related substances in pharmaceutical substances and various anagrelide-containing dosage forms.
