JAK inhibitors target distinct receptor-associated kinases, inhibiting the activation of inflammatory signals. With the expanding body of evidence supporting the use of targeted medicines, numerous JAK inhibitors, both topical and systemic, have been tested in the treatment of atopic dermatitis, with varying mechanisms of action, effectiveness, and safety. The efficacy and safety of JAK inhibitors used to treat inflammatory and atopic skin diseases are examined in this review study. Their application in the mentioned fields has been characterized by some excellent clinical responses, but wide variability in responses and some serious and even life-threatening side effects. While JAK inhibitors are now beneficial to many patients, further study is needed to better understand this complicated mechanism to improve treatment outcomes and minimize side effects.","PeriodicalId":8308,"journal":{"name":"Archives Of Pharmacy Practice","volume":"26 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83341725","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A randomized controlled trial was carried out on 150 patients, who received diabetes care from an endocrinologist. Diabetes educators followed a stepwise approach: setting priorities for patient care, assessing patients' specific educational needs, developing of individualized diet plan, benefits of self-monitoring blood glucose, addressing the concerns related to diabetes treatment, foot care, and hypoglycaemia. In the intervention group, the diabetes educator trained patients for 6 months (follow-up visits and phone calls). The primary outcome was A1C, and the secondary outcomes included medication adherence, health-related quality of life, blood glucose, blood pressure, and lipid profile. Most of the participants were from the age range of 40-60 years (57.3%) and were male (53.3%). There was a significant improvement in the HbA1c (p<0.0001), blood glucose (p<0.0001), blood pressure (p<0.0001), and lipid profile (p<0.0001) in the intervention group. A significant improvement in the health-related quality of life and patients' adherence level was also seen after diabetes educator intervention. The study aimed to assess the factors influencing people's acceptance and refusal to receive the COVID-19 vaccination in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. A cross-sectional study using an equestionnaire was used to collect responses from consenting participants aged over 12 who are residents in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. A validated and pre-tested questionnaire was used that recorded socio-demographic details, awareness about COVID-19 vaccines, attitudes toward vaccination in general, and factors influencing the decision of COVID-19 vaccine compliance. The COVID-19 vaccine administration rate was 96.5%, and the most commonly administered vaccine was Pfizer-BioNTech (78%). The most widely reported influencing factor was intrinsic influences. Vaccine administration was significantly higher among those who believed COVID-19 vaccines are safe (p<0.001) and those who believed vaccines could help in controlling in pandemic (p<0.001). The public's trust in vaccines can be increased by distributing information about the vaccine's safety and undertaking health education initiatives.","PeriodicalId":8308,"journal":{"name":"Archives Of Pharmacy Practice","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83299208","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Babalghith","doi":"10.51847/wibr9o91d8","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51847/wibr9o91d8","url":null,"abstract":"Cardiac remodeling is defined by changes in the genome's expression, as well as molecular, cellular, and interstitial state alterations, all of which lead to changes in the heart's function. Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is increasingly the most critical component of mitochondria's electron transport chain, which is required for ATP generation. The main intent of this scrutiny is to assess CoQ10's role in myocardial infarction (MI) in male rats. The rats were split into four factions: the controls (C), the CoQ10 treated batch, ISO treated batch and CoQ10+ISO treated batch. Biochemical markers of liver functions (AST, ALT, ALP, albumin, and total protein), cardiac markers, electrolytes, TNF, oxidative stress [malondialdehyde (MDA)], and antioxidative [superoxide dismutase (SOD), and reduced glutathione (GSH)] were all examined. qPCR was used to assess the cardiac tissues expression of the the angiogenesis-related gene vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), the migration-related gene matrix metalloprotease 9 (MMP9), and the antioxidant-related gene Heme Oxygenase-1 (HO-1). CoQ10 treatment of ISO-bearing rats reduced hepatic damage as shown by restored liver function measures, reduced cardiac MDA levels, increased cardiac GSH and SOD levels, upregulated expression of VEGF, MMP9, and HO-1. It’s concluded that CoQ10 played a preventive function against heart injury generated by the ISO model based on these findings.","PeriodicalId":8308,"journal":{"name":"Archives Of Pharmacy Practice","volume":"56 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73849504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pedagogical experiment was carried out based on a comprehensive school, in the city of Kirov, Russia. The study involved children 15-16 years old in the amount of 52 people. During the study period, 30 physical education lessons were held in each class. Children from the control group were engaged in the usual program, and children from the experimental group additionally performed the «Burpee» exercise. Endurance in children was determined by the test «2000 m», and the distribution of attention was determined by the test «Different counts». The study used Excel and BioStat to determine Student’s T-tests. After the pedagogical experiment, the indicators in the control group in the «2000 m» test improved by 1.9% (p>0.05), and in the «Different counts» by 4.3% (p>0.05). In the experimental group, the performance improved significantly in the «2000 m» test by 9% (p<0.05) and in the «Different counts» by 18% (p<0.05). If 15-16-year-old schoolchildren perform the «Burpee» exercise in physical education classes, then the indicators of endurance and distribution of attention will improve significantly. In this case, physical activity should be individual.","PeriodicalId":8308,"journal":{"name":"Archives Of Pharmacy Practice","volume":"36 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82412242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
