Si cest une connaissance dordre initiatique que le dieu demande a la cite dacquerir, le savoir se resout pour Penthee et pour Agave dans une souffrance pathetiquement mise en scene. Aussi les Bacchantes semblent-elles re-elaborer une pratique rituelle pour la transformer en spectacle tragique.","PeriodicalId":81806,"journal":{"name":"L'Antiquite classique","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70001909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Le poesie di Optaziano costituiscono una fonte importante per coloro che intendono ricostruire le vicende legate ai vari personaggi della corte imperiale: sebbene non siano un documento di primordine, le poesie di Optaziano possono, almeno in parte, contribuire a delineare un quadro piu completo del periodo attraverso lintegrazione e il confronto con altri storici di professione. Larticolo si propone di valutare lattendibilita di Optaziano come fonte storica, le cui informazioni potrebbero costituire un documento di fondamentale importanza, data la prossimita del poeta alla corte di Costantino, in relazione soprattutto al resoconto autoptico di fatti a cui lautore probabilmente partecipo in prima persona.","PeriodicalId":81806,"journal":{"name":"L'Antiquite classique","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70001940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Duplouy","doi":"10.3406/ANTIQ.2005.2583","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3406/ANTIQ.2005.2583","url":null,"abstract":"A travers la critique de deux ouvrages recents sur la sculpture grecque archaique (P. C. BOL et alii, Die Geschichte der antiken Bildhauerkunst. I. Fruhgriechische Plastik, Mayence, Ph. von Zabern, 2002 et K. KARAKASI, Archaische Koren, Munich, Hirmer Verlag, 2001, trad. angl. Archaic Korai, J. Paul Getty Museum, 2003), l'article esquisse les contours d'une approche historique de la sculpture archaique. Pour nombre de specialistes, la creation artistique constitue un domaine autonome de la civilisation grecque et l'evolution des formes ne s'explique que par des lois qui lui sont propres. Pourtant, on ne rappellera jamais assez que la plupart des statues archaiques etaient soit votives soit funeraires et qu'en tant que telles, elles etaient tout d'abord pour les Grecs l'expression de commanditaires. A travers la statue, le dedicant avait le souci de se placer face aux autres et esperait retirer du miroir de la communaute l'image de sa position sociale. Dans un systeme ou la statue fonctionne d'abord comme l'expression d'un commanditaire, et non pas comme une œuvre d'art, la statuaire grecque s'impose comme un document historique majeur. Pour peu que l'on ne s'attache pas seulement a leur statut d'œuvres d'art, les statues archaiques, a travers les relations qu'elles entretenaient avec les hommes qui les ont creees et ceux qui les avaient commandees, constituent une documentation de premier ordre, dont les historiens ont souvent meconnu l'interet. A ce titre, la sculpture grecque est incontestablement l'objet d'une histoire, qui n'est pas seulement celle des formes, mais aussi celle des hommes.","PeriodicalId":81806,"journal":{"name":"L'Antiquite classique","volume":"74 1","pages":"275-281"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70001753","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
