Chorioretinal lesions regressed with fluconazole therapy. Pars plana vitrectomy was performed with resultant improved visual acuity, but vitritis recurred with the next chemotherapy session. RNFL in glaucoma patients was significantly thinner than in normal subjects in every location evaluated. We present two cases of Apert's syndrome. Our first case is a 10-year-old girl admitted with exotropia, V pattern and proptosis on examination. Investigations revealed coronal craniosynostosis, cleft palate, vaginal atresia and syndactyly of the hands and feet. The second case is a 5-year-old boy presented with hypertelorism, exotropia, dissociated vertical deviation and proptosis. {"title":"Combined oral corticosteroid-methotrexate therapy in Eales' disease.","authors":"Sandeep Saxena","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><p>The efficacy of combined oral corticosteroid and low-dose oral methotrexate pulsed therapy in Eales' disease was evaluated prospectively, based on weighted visual morbidity scale for disease activity and visual acuity grading in 36 consecutive cases. Oral corticosteroids in a weekly tapering dose for 4 weeks and 12.5 mg methotrexate as a single oral dose, once per week for 12 weeks, were administered simultaneously. No statistically significant differences were found among the AUCs of these parameters. However, AUCs were significantly higher in OCT and HRT parameters than most of GDx VCC ones. We present a case of a 60-year-old man with cutaneous manifestations of MF, who later developed bilateral eyelid ulceration. MF is a highly recalcitrant disease with a relentless course. {"title":"Use of trypan blue stain in endothelial keratoplasty.","authors":"Thomas John, Ami A Shah","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><p>We used the selective staining properties of trypan blue to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of the stain during endothelial keratoplasty (EK) surgery in 55 eyes of 51 patients. No long-term effects were seen due to the trypan blue staining up to two years postoperatively.
