In the majority of cases Caesarean section was performed, the other interventions were major operations. Norcuron proved to be a neuro-muscular blocking agent which has no cardiovascular side-effects, has a medium duration of action, and may be repeatedly administered according to requirement without risk of cumulation. It may be combined with other anaesthetics, its action may be successfully antagonized, and the drug has no postoperative after-effects. The Apgar scores of the newborns remained within the normal ranges.</p>","PeriodicalId":76737,"journal":{"name":"Therapia Hungarica (English edition)","volume":"40 1","pages":"37-9"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1992-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"12523322","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Both drug forms relieved or controlled the complaints and symptoms, and proved to be effective in a great number of cases. Due to it's easier storage and easier applicability the aerosol is more advantageous than the sublingual tablet. Occasionally the simultaneous use of the two products is also beneficial. Supposedly the indication field of nitroglycerin will be extended in the near future and Nitromint preparations will be used in oxyology also for controlling other clinical conditions in which smooth muscle spasm has a major role.</p>","PeriodicalId":76737,"journal":{"name":"Therapia Hungarica (English edition)","volume":"39 4","pages":"175-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"12973130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the course of the 21-day therapy the laboratory findings did not change-haemopoetic or liver injury was not observed. On two-thirds of the patients the amount of sputum decreased in response to Paxirasol aerosol but the symptoms accompanying expectoration did not change notably. Among the objective respiratory parameters FEV1 values increased and Rtot values decreased. These changes may be observed during the first third of therapy. There was a continuous and linear increase in FEV values characteristic of respiratory pressure conditions. This phenomenon is not characteristic alone of the changes of values of obstructive diseases patients. The authors recommend the use of Paxirasol aerosol for the treatment of respiratory tract disease patients.</p>","PeriodicalId":76737,"journal":{"name":"Therapia Hungarica (English edition)","volume":"39 3","pages":"128-32"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"12981896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the beginning, the patients were in a moderately active stage of the disease, 10 patients also received low dose corticosteroid treatment. After the study was completed, clinical and immunological improvement was seen in 10 cases. The average daily dose of prednisolone could be reduced (from 10.5 mg to 5 mg). These patients tolerated the treatment well, no adverse effect was seen. No elevation of serum transaminase, creatinine or change in blood cell count and glomerular filtration rate were observed. Side-effects, mainly sleepiness, fatigue, weakness, were observed in nearly half of the patients. These were, in general, mild and of a transient character.
