The study has evidenced that the method employing a median articulatory device and the galvanic model of the antagonist teeth can be used for the biological integration at a higher level of efficiency of dental bridges which are intended to restore occluding stops. Superior functional parameters are achieved. Clinical observations, kinesiographic recordings and final occluding evaluations have been used. However, these methods are applied only in clinical cases that have been correctly investigated, and on condition that the restorative technique is followed fully. This method, with all its advantages when compared to the morphostatic method with distal key of occlusion, or with occluding device presumes the availability of very good clinical and technical conditions. By the nature of his preoccupations, the praxiological and gnathological essence of the practitioner is to achieve conservation and to restore occluding stops by various methods. One of the consequences of these approaches is to achieve prophylactic methods, that will not disturb the parodontial balance. The study presented here was aimed at this. Stomatologists should have a sound knowledge of occluding physiology, and this for two major considerations: they can prevent, when well informed, the development of the complex pathology due to occluding dysfunction, and they can apply functional restorative therapies to patients that are occlusally traumatized, restoring the occluding balance.</p>","PeriodicalId":76435,"journal":{"name":"Revista de chirurgie, oncologie, radiologie, o. r. l., oftalmologie, stomatologie. Neutron activation analysis, chemical and chromatographic methods were used for evidencing the presence of Fe, Mn, Zn, Mg, Co, Ca, Na, and K ions in the dental plaque. Significant changes were noted with regard to the Fe, Zn, and Ca contents of the dental plaque in patients with deep and mixed parodonthopathies. In the patients with gingivitis high Mn and Na concentrations were found and low Mg and K ion contents. Cobalt in the dental plaque was within normal limits in all the patients. The treatment is essentially preventive and consists in avoiding exposure to UV radiation, and also palliative, consisting in medical therapy, physiotherapy and surgery. The patient was followed and treated for a long period of time and developed in succession baso-cellular epitheliomas, spino-cellular epitheliomas, malignant melanoma, myosarcoma, and lymph-node metastases. The methods and the techniques for the sampling of the pathological products are presented. The classical technique for antibiograms, consisting in horizontal diffusimetry is compared with the modern method of double-layer diffusimetry which employs a \"redox\" indicator (C.T.T.-triphenyl-tetrazolium-2, 3, 5-chloride) which accelerates the lecture of the results by altering the colour of the culture medium. The study was carried out in 200 patients and showed that the antibiotics with the widest spectrum on the microbiocenosis of the infected dental canals were, by order of efficiency, the following: erythromycin, chloramphenicol, ampicillin, and tetracycline. Antibiograms should be done in the shortest possible time, and the time for the lecture of the results was reduced from 36-48 hours in the case of the classical antibiograms to 16-18 hours in the case of the rapid technique. The shortening of the working time allows for a more rapid individualization of the treatment, and the preparation of antibiotic-incorporating pastes that will reduce the number of procedures to 1-2 procedures in the simple form of the pulp gangrene and to 3-4 procedures in the cases of complicated pulpal gangrene.</p>","PeriodicalId":76435,"journal":{"name":"Revista de chirurgie, oncologie, radiologie, o. r. l., oftalmologie, stomatologie. From the viewpoint of their frequencies the dento-maxillary anomalies hold the third place in the list of stomatological affections. The great variety of clinical manifestations of dento-maxillary anomalies has determined definition of therapeutical attitudes, in the frame of which therapy with orthodontal devices has an important place. This type of therapy exerts its effects also by implicating the parodontium, and this by at least two different mechanisms:-the induction of changes in the structures of the dento-maxillary apparatus by a direct parodontal mechanisms; as an element in the overall regulation of the growth of the dento-maxillary apparatus. The treatment with orthodontial devices should be conceived in such a way that it will protect the parodontium from the deleterious effects of these devices. The data presented further were obtained from 2 groups of patients and concern the improvement of the efficiency of treatments with orthodontal devices, and the protection of the parodontium during treatment. The first group was investigated in 1988, and criteria for the selection of participants in the second group were established. In the first group a total of 109 subjects were included, aged between 5 and 20 years, in whom stomatologic procedures were started in January 1988. These subjects were followed until the month of November of the same year. The most frequently encountered anomaly was maxillary compression (endalvellia) in 70 subjects. With regard to the condition of the marginal parodontium clinical exploration showed that 57 subjects had not underwent changes.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)</p>","PeriodicalId":76435,"journal":{"name":"Revista de chirurgie, oncologie, radiologie, o. r. l., oftalmologie, stomatologie. The clinical study evaluated the \"inflammation status of the marginal prodontium\" on the basis of variations in the PMA index. The microbiological study has established the bacteriostatic and the bactericidal activities of the products employed. The results obtained stress the high antimicrobial activity of the original products called Proparodont, and stress its antimycotic effects, especially against Candida albicans. The blackwort (Symphytum off.) extracts have a good repair effect, especially after surgical procedures. The complex original products based on propolis and vegetal extracts are indicated in the treatment of inflammatory lesions of the gingivo-parodontal tissues, and of the buccal mucosa. An analysis with an electronic micro-probe of the samples of ally exposed to corroding effects has evidenced various reactions in the buccal cavity and in the environment. In the buccal cavity the bronze alloy (Gaudent) has, in most of the cases, a satisfactory reaction from the macroscopical viewpoint.
