In this survey data are given on the recipients and the transplanted kidneys. The patients were treated by orthovoltage radiotherapy and classified according to the UICC/AJC staging system of 1972. The 3-year recurrence-free rates for T1, T2 and T3 are 83, 62, and 60%, respectively. The lesions disappeared in response to oxygen therapy. Arteriography revealed evidence of mesenteric arteritis. Computerized tomographic (CT) scanning was performed using axial and coronal sections. The diagnosis of agenesis was suggested by the presence of an enormous third ventricle, the coronal sections gave the definite proof. With ultrasound, study of the intrahepatic ducts achieved the greatest accuracy (71%); examination of common bile ducts and the gallbladder were found to be less sensitive (54 and 53%).
