The study aimed to determine the compliance to prenatal care among the 93 pregnant mothers from all the local communities in Santa, Ilocos Sur during calendar year 2012. The study utilized the descriptive-correlational method of research. The main instrument of this study is a questionnaire. The data gathered were treated and interpreted using frequency and percentage, mean and simple linear correlation analysis. Results of the study revealed that the level of awareness on the importance of prenatal care among the respondents is “Very High” and that the level of compliance to prenatal care is “Low”. However, the level of compliance to prenatal care yielded a significant relationship with the number of pregnancy, age of gestation in weeks, broadcast media and print media. Moreover, the distance from the residence of the respondents to the hospital showed an inverse significant relationship with the level of compliance to prenatal care. In conclusion, the “low” compliance to prenatal care indicates that the aim of DOH to at least have four antenatal care visits to improve maternal health was not achieved. Some people are often afraid to visit a professional dentist. This is worsened when they have to be handled by dentistry students. This need is related to patient’s psychology that leads us to develop Interior circulation as the main concept to optimize the effectiveness of dentistry students. The research aims to decrease problems that dentistry students usually have and create an interior circulation concept without override patient’s psychology presented in a virtual design planning. Research has been done with qualitative methods. The researchers observed the education and practical activity of dentistry students at one of dentistry teaching hospitals in Bandung, Indonesia. The researchers interviewed dentistry students and patients and also experienced as a patient to observe the students’ effectiveness directly. The researchers found several problems that generated an unhealthy environment such as incompatible room layout for user’s workflow, dentistry students’ difficulties to perform personal handling, and ignored patient’s psychology. The effectiveness of dentistry students is highly affected by circulation factor. The result is a virtual design planning that applied a concept of interior circulation. The study recommends rearranging room layout based on users` workflow and facilitate students’ learning process without interfering patient’s needs. Five pairs ofsiblings were tasked to finish a set of household chores and were video-recorded.The videos were transcribed and analyzed. Younger siblings, researcher and anobserver assessed the strategies based on six criteria. Strategies observed in thestudy are affirmation, correction and modeling strategies. It showed that thecriteria with the highest and lowest scores are speed of the ASD child’s responseand ability to negotiate is the criterion, respectively. Strategies used are effective ineliciting fast responses from the ASD child but not in facilitating communication.Results showed that communication strategies induced responses on ASD child; these were categorized as compliance, non-compliance and neutral. Results show that younger sibling use affirmative strategies to continue guiding theASD child to compliance and finish the domestic task. With this, the need for research concerning stress experience is deem necessary. In this study, stress experiences among graduating students of Isabela State University San Mateo campus has been evaluated and analyzed. A descriptive method and a three-part questionnaire were utilized to collect data. Data were processed through the SPSS program. The gathered data were treated statistically using One-way Analysis of Variance (F-test) at 5 percent level of significance to determine if there were significant differences between the stress experiences and demographic profile. T-test was also used to evaluate the differences in means between two groups. Results showed that the graduating students of Isabela State University San Mateo campus experienced the different causes/sources, effects and coping mechanisms of stress, the graduating students experienced academic pressures and the causes/sources of stressor. Results also revealed that effects of stressor differ between male and female. Thus, knowledge of the causes/sources; effects and coping mechanisms of stress help college students confront stress constructively. The data were gathered with the use of checklist, interview, observation, and medical reports and Y-dowsing rod in locating GS zones. The qualitative analysis of data was employed in the analysis of matrices. The findings of the present research revealed that when subject-informants parts of body had been exposed to GS zone they frequently experienced the following: (a) Head: Insomnia, chronic fatigue, difficulties to concentrate, nightmares, migraine headache, and nervousness; (b) Chest: sudden increase of heartbeat, chest pain, high blood pressure, coughing, wheezing, breathing difficulties, colds, back pains, primary complex, tuberculosis, and pneumonia, cardiac; (c) Abdomen: Pain and inability to produce urine, abnormal frequent uncontrolled urination, hip pain, fatigue, urinary infection, kidney swelling, bloated stomach, diarrhea, and relapsing abdominal problems; (d) Extremities: Rheumatism, arthritis, muscles contraction, tingling, numbness, cramps and inflammation of joints. However, when persons in this study were moved from GS zone the aforementioned long existing and recurring sleeping problems and illnesses almost gradually disappeared despite the absence of medical treatment. They were able to sleep well and wake up comfortably. As they said, “unknowingly, my health problem and illness just disappeared in our new sleeping location.” Hence, moving persons away from GS zone is the best remedy to address GS related health problems.","PeriodicalId":75938,"journal":{"name":"International journal of health education","volume":"17 1","pages":"1-1"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74726167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This descriptive correlational queer study analyzed the significant relationship between personality domains and concepts of homosexuality. The results undertaken hoped to contribute in the future revisions of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health and Psychiatric Disorders. The subjects of the study consisted of fifty self- acclaimed homosexual college students from two state universities in the Philippines. An instrument was designed for the purpose of analyzing the significant relationship of personality domains and concepts of homosexuality. The researchers used the psychometric tool adapted from Google internet site to give instant percentile interpretation of the personality domains. Computation of mean and standard deviation, Chi- square, Pearson Product Moment of Correlation Coefficient and t- test were utilized to give statistical interpretation of the data. The findings of the study revealed that there is no significant difference between person related factors and personality domains as perceived by the homosexual respondents. It was also revealed that there is no significant difference between person related factors and concepts of homosexuality as perceived by the respondents. However, it is found out that there is a significant relationship between personality domains and the concepts of homosexuality.","PeriodicalId":75938,"journal":{"name":"International journal of health education","volume":"5 1","pages":"1-1"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81584031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Findings revealed that the level of awareness of the respondents before the administration of the tool suggests unawareness regarding STI with a total weighted mean of 2.57. After the intervention, results showed a total weighted mean of 4.64 under the the category of Strongly Aware.
