With the globalization of economy, the continuous improvement of technology and the popularization and perfection of mobile Internet technology, the self-media industry is facing great opportunities and challenges. The profitability of self-media is getting richer and richer, and a variety of more systematic profit models are gradually formed, but the overall profitability is not optimistic, which is not unrelated to the high transaction costs and the lack of management system. This paper will explore more sustainable profit models based on the existing profit models of self-media from the perspective of new institutional economics, using transaction costs, contracts, institutional change and other related theories, and give policy recommendations for the problems.","PeriodicalId":73718,"journal":{"name":"Journal of economics and public finance","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73425600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We focus on the contrasts of the different rules and functioning of the carbon credit trading markets. We also compare the carbon leakages and the compliance of the two schemes. We highlight the “negative” carbon leakage and the voluntary compliance associated with the Tokyo- Saitama Prefecture schemes. Finally, we provide a formal model linking some “unique” Japanese labour market practices to the incentives facing the Japanese facilities.","PeriodicalId":73718,"journal":{"name":"Journal of economics and public finance","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76998724","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

White concluded that the answer is: the Judeo-Christian tradition.The environmental movement began in the early 1960s, with far-reaching changes in American values and attitudes, that were powering a growing interest in wilderness and its preservation.By destroying pagan animism, Christianity made it possible to exploit nature in a mood of indifference to the feelings of natural objects. Severed from the human community and its ethical protection, nature was fully exposed to human greed.Aristotle’s scientific philosophy of nature—animate and alive—dominated Western thought for two thousand years after his death. But thanks to the Scientific Revolution of the 16th and 17th centuries, the notion of an organic and spiritual universe was replaced by that of the world as a machine, and the word machine became a dominant metaphor of the modern era. It was around 1850, that Western Europe and North America arranged a marriage between science and technology that signified the Baconian creed of power over nature. Its acceptance as a normal pattern of action may mark the greatest event in human history since the invention of agriculture. Perhaps the most profound legacy of the Scientific Revolution is the principle of reductionism that encourages an atomistic and disintegrated view of nature. As a result, we have the Faustian bargain of Hydrogen bombs that pose an existential threat to the universe. Individualism is first on the list of American cultural heritage. Next is the “Bootstrap philosophy.” This phrase has become part of American mythology, and the nation’s attitude toward helping those in society that have been left behind; and we lecture them to lift themselves up by their bootstraps. Next are the negative attitudes toward government that are unjustified. Then there is the free-market crusade that has led to American economic decline. And next, this is their promised Utopia for what ails America: “Privatization, deregulation, downsizing, shrinking entitlements, and lower taxes.”Smith’s explanation of the paradox of the interplay between supply and demand, is an important scientific contribution to society. But, why then did he cross that line, and enter the domain of metaphysics with his proclamation that “consumption is the sole end and purpose of all production”?Yet, he put no limits on consumption and left the door of overconsumption wide open.Smith says that in an unfettered market--propelled by competition among self-interested sellers and buyers--the invisible hand will then allocate goods efficiently.However, one of the best-kept secrets in economics is that there is no case for the “invisible hand.”Finally, Adam Smith ignored the Industrial Revolution? This is because his static theory could not handle innovation.","PeriodicalId":73718,"journal":{"name":"Journal of economics and public finance","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81985783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

How different sources of income affect farmers’ expenditure levels and how they have influenced farmers’ consumption since the agricultural tax reform in China since the 20th century has become a question worth exploring. Panel data from 2016 to 2020 are utilized to examine rural residents’ consumption expenditures and their sources of disposable income by region to analyze the impact of different income sources on farmers’ consumption and the correlation between income before and after agricultural tax reform, and finally conducts an analysis of future scenarios based on a time series model. The research results show that the elasticity of income from different sources on rural households’ per capita consumption expenditure is different, among which wage income is the most elastic, while household business income has a relatively small effect on consumption expenditure, but through data analysis we can find that agricultural tax reform has a significant and continuous promotion effect on rural households’ per capita consumption expenditure. The continuous cycle of agricultural tax reform is long, and the transmission chain through less tax payment, expanded reproduction, harvest, realization, and then consumption is long, thus there is a certain lag in tax reduction effect. Income from such sources in the first three years has a large impact on the current period data, while the first four and five years have a relatively small impact on current business income.","PeriodicalId":73718,"journal":{"name":"Journal of economics and public finance","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76560721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Case of Italian Banks","authors":"Maurizio Baravelli, L. Organizational models that place human capital and the ethical-motivational wellbeing of people (workers and managers) at the centre and that, if involved in decision-making processes, are capable not only of increasing dynamic capabilities but also of innovating them (renewing) by leveraging, above all, the enhancement of middle management. In this work we argue that the characteristics of organizational models promote the dynamic capabilities in a circular approach integrating vertical and horizontal competences in a flattening organization. Freedom and Emotional management shape organizations capable of adapting and regenerating even in rapidly changing environments. Reinforcing this position is the circumstance that Italian banks find themselves having to redesign their business and managerial models not only to make them economically and financially sustainable to counter the current profitability crisis, but also to make them consistent with social (and environmental) sustainability criteria by adapting to the new European regulation. A transformation that push towards the increasing convergence of eco-efficiency and eco-effectiveness with more participating and creative human resources for the resilience.","PeriodicalId":73718,"journal":{"name":"Journal of economics and public finance","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77173957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On this basis, the study explores the determinants that impact cross-border online consumers’ purchase intentions in Hanoi, Vietnam. As fundamental ideas, the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) are integrated with the influence of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). The examined factors consist of Consumer Attitude, Subjective Norms, Perceived Behavioral Control, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Risk, Trust, and RCEP. The research was conducted on a survey questionnaire of 253 online shoppers in Hanoi who have experienced cross-border purchasing. The data was processed using several statistical methods, namely descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The analysis reveals that Consumer Attitude, Subjective Norms, Perceived Behavioral Control, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, and Trust have a positive influence on the consumer’s intention to cross-border e-commerce (CBEC), while perceived risk and RCEP do not exert any force on the intention. Among these variables, Risk perception and trust have been demonstrated to have the most significant impact on online purchase intention. The outcomes of the study indicate that online retailers or intermediaries adopt a third-party payment processor and publish policies to protect consumers’ private information. It is also suggested that the government should educate the public on the benefits of RCEP, implement the relevant policies, and provide guidance for the sellers to follow to utilize the advantages of RCEP.","PeriodicalId":73718,"journal":{"name":"Journal of economics and public finance","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74466432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, prevailing discourses have either evaluated the causes/effects of the RMB exchange rate misalignment or theorized the investment/speculation channels. The implication of this persistent currency intervention (CI) regime on economic development, in comparison, remains one of the most contentious subjects in international economics. To shed light on this issue, this research develops a new macroeconomic model to address the two core attributes of China's persistent CI: the stagnant adjustment of the capital markets and the fast liberalization of the commodity markets. It investigates the impacts of macroeconomic controls on output growth and price levels from multiple aspects. It also makes several interesting discoveries in opposition to key postulations of existing macroeconomic models.","PeriodicalId":73718,"journal":{"name":"Journal of economics and public finance","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80400489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper collects the relevant data of China’s oil exploitation industry and listed companies from 2011 to 2020, and makes an empirical study by using the standard value weight method and regression analysis method. The conclusions are as follows: (1) from 2011 to 2020, the average annual decline of international oil price is 6.71%, which significantly weakened the profitability of Listed Companies in China’s oil exploitation industry. (2) From 2011 to 2020, the average annual decline of gasoline prices in China is 2.61%. However, due to the implementation of the “minimum price” policy by the Chinese government, the profitability of Listed Companies in the oil exploitation industry has not decreased, but increased. (3) From 2011 to 2020, the internal control level of Listed Companies in China’s oil exploitation industry continued to decline, which was significantly negatively correlated with profitability. (4) Listed companies in China’s petroleum exploration industry adhere to the concept of sustainable development, pay attention to scientific and technological investment, effectively operate assets, increase cash flow and control costs. These measures have significantly improved the profitability of enterprises.","PeriodicalId":73718,"journal":{"name":"Journal of economics and public finance","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74443544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
