Correct estimation of the convection onset time and rate of CO2 dissolution into brine are two crucial parameters regarding safety issues, as the timescale for dissolution corresponds to the same time over which the free-phase CO2 has a chance to leak out from the storage site. In real practice, underground formations are heterogeneous with a layered structure, but the convective mixing in heterogeneous porous media has received less attention than the homogeneous one. This study aims to develop a basic understanding of the role of layered permeability media (layered structure with variation in permeability vertically) on the behavior of convective mixing via well-controlled laboratory experiments. The effects of layering and layer properties on the rate of dissolution of CO2 in water and geometries of the formed convection fingers are studied using a precise experimental set-up with layered-permeability Hele-Shaw cell geometry. Qualitative (snapshots of convection fingers) and quantitative data (amount of the dissolved CO2 into water) are collected simultaneously for a better understanding of the process. The main reaction of diphenylacetylene was accompanied by a side reaction, leading to the dissociation of a P(OAr)3 ligand for the formation of mono(phosphite) complexes [{(ArO)3P}(OC)2Co-Co(μ-PhC≡CPh)(CO)3] (2b, R = Ph; 2d, R = o-Tol). Methods: We report a case of concomitant allergic fungal otomastoiditis and rhinosinusitis in an immunocompetent 27-year-old man complaining of right otorrhea and nasal discharge for 6 months resistant to any medical treatment. Examination revealed a sticky mucus arising from a polypoid middle ear associated with a right middle meatus purulent discharge. Surgical treatment revealed no cholesteatoma but thick yellowish mucus and a fungal ball, as targeted by imaging, both of which containing Aspergillus species. Result: The patient received short postoperative systemic corticotherapy and showed no recurrence 6 months after. Discussion: Allergic fungal otomastoidis should be considered in the face of a sticky mucus arising from perforated chronic otitis, especially when associated with allergic fungal rhinosinusitis. In addition, some patients will be intubated and others under mechanical ventilation. \u0000Therefore, it is necessary to use drugs as a sedative and analgesic purpose, mainly. Thus, this study brings \u0000a survey on the drugs that can be used for the management of patients with COVID-19 in cases of intubation \u0000and mechanical ventilation in Brazil. In this paper, we will report the classes of anaesthetic and analgesic \u0000drugs.
