Lupus erythematosus is a recurrent chronic disease accompanied by acute, subacute and chronic lesions. Telogen Effluvium occurs as part of the systemic activity of the disease, and scarring alopecia results from discoid lesions on the scalp. Other types of alopecia, such as alopecia areata, can sometimes be found in lupus. AFF is a typical form of cicatricial alopecia. It can also lead to the development of tiny papules on the frontotemporal region. It occurs mainly in postmenopausal women. The coexistence of AFF and Lupus erythematosus, as observed in our patient, may be indicative of a common pathogenic background. *Correspondence to: Jihane Ziani, Department of Dermatology, Hassan II university Hospital, Fez, Morocco, E-mail: dr.zianijihane@gmail.com","PeriodicalId":72607,"journal":{"name":"Clinical case reports and reviews","volume":"18 71 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67448279","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Objective tinnitus can be treated in many cases by medicines like muscle relaxants, anti-convulsatants, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, and anti-cholinerjics or can be treated by surgically. To the best of our knowledge in medical treatment there is not use of gabapentin for medical treatment of objective tinnitus. In this report a woman 40 y-old has for a long time objective tinnitus was presented.. She was treated by gabapentin and full recovery was observed.","PeriodicalId":72607,"journal":{"name":"Clinical case reports and reviews","volume":"6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67448618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two weeks after delivery, the patient suffered from dyspnoe, tachycardia and two large ovarian cysts. Diagnostic showed a metastasis choriocarcinoma in the lung. After the first application of chemotherapy according to the EMACO protocol the patient degraded quickly. She had a respiratory distress syndrome and an endotracheal intubation was necessary. We suspected a massive tumour cell lysis with haemorrhage after chemotherapy. Tumourlysis syndrome in choriocarcinoma is a rare complication as it is in solid tumours. Treatment in the intensive care unit allowed continuation of chemotherapy with EMACO. The general health state of the patient improves slowly and ß-HCG falled. After 78 days of hospitalization the patient was able to be discharged from hospital.","PeriodicalId":72607,"journal":{"name":"Clinical case reports and reviews","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67448271","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is very sensitive to purine analogues cladribine and pentostatin which are both primarily excreted by kidneys and registration labels bear warnings against their use in patients with severe renal insufficiency. We report a patient with HCL and severe renal failure who was successfully treated with five subcutaneous injections of cladribine 0.14 mg/ kg and six biweekly infusions of rituximab 375 mg/2 iv. This regimen was tolerated remarkably well without cumbersome side–effects. Our case-report suggests that cladribine can be efficaciously and safely used in patients with severe renal insufficiency if administered in standard doses once every two weeks.","PeriodicalId":72607,"journal":{"name":"Clinical case reports and reviews","volume":"6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67448458","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The voice is not essential for survival and sometimes could be compromised in an effort to preserve the airway and prevent aspiration [1]. Chronic repetitive bronchoaspiration is a serious consequence of the nonfunctional larynx, with increased morbidity and mortality. The treatment of aspiration comprises; conservative management and surgical procedures which can be divided into adjuvant and definitive procedures [2]. The adjuvant procedures include tracheotomy, cricopharyngeal myotomy [3], laryngeal suspension, cricoid resection [4] and various vocal fold medializations.","PeriodicalId":72607,"journal":{"name":"Clinical case reports and reviews","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67448505","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mortality range from 5 to 15%. Straight sinus thrombosis is a rare type of cerebral venous sinus thromboses and is extremely difficult to diagnose, especially at its acute stage. The diagnosis is often delayed in many cases of straight sinus thrombosis that brings to treatment delay and a poor prognosis. We illustrate a case of a patient with straight sinus thrombosis with bilateral hemorrhage lesions who showed a fast evolution and sudden onset.","PeriodicalId":72607,"journal":{"name":"Clinical case reports and reviews","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69278406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
