Therefore, Indonesia has many active volcanoes that cause earthquakes, such as recently in West Sumatra, Southern Java, and around East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Disaster mitigation, especially seabed monitoring, is needed as one of the early detection efforts of a seabed earthquake that will potentially become a tsunami disaster. The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has developed a marine disaster detection system since 2004 called Indonesia Tsunami Early Warning System (InaTEWS). BRIN has placed several seabed earthquake detectors that spread throughout Indonesian waters from Sumatra to Sorong Papua. The seabed monitoring system described in this paper is the Cable Based Tsunameter (CBT) using a Solar Power Plant developed by BRIN and it will start operating by the end of 2021. The Paper describes the devices used for the CBT system, which will be installed in a location at NTT, and the capacity of the Solar Power Plant is 7kWp to energize the electricity of the CBT system.","PeriodicalId":71865,"journal":{"name":"海洋工程装备与技术","volume":"11 1","pages":"63-67"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78793156","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to massive mud discharge, over sedimentation on the estuary of Porong River potentially modifies the pattern of nearshore circulation. This paper investigated the patterns of nearshore circulation within the Porong estuary through observations and numerical models to understand the dynamics of coastal circulation under various seasons. The result showed the influence of astronomic water level variations (range of 2.1 m) and river discharge (average of 33 m/s) to the circulation patterns within the estuary. Further analysis showed the monsoonal variations did not significantly alter the nearshore patterns.","PeriodicalId":71865,"journal":{"name":"海洋工程装备与技术","volume":"42 1","pages":"25-29"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76367585","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Changes in the forward (sedimentation) and retreat (erosion) of the coastline depending on the dynamics of seawater. These dynamics include ocean currents and ocean waves. In general, people often see tidal conditions of seawater. This paper aims to show the results of a tidal survey and a simple analysis to determine the type of tide. Tidal surveys have been carried out in Lamong Bay, East Java. The calculation and analysis of tidal parameters were have been conducted as well. The calculation results have been obtained in the form of a datum chart, namely HAT (Highest Astronomical Tide), MHHWS (Mean Highest High Water Spring), MHHWN (Mean Highest High Water Neap), MSL (Mean Sea Level), MLLWN (Mean lowest low Water Neap), MLLWS (Mean Lowest Low Water Spring), and LAT (Lowest Astronomical Tide). This simple analysis is intended to determine the type of tides just by looking at the footage of how many waves a day are there. If there is one wave a day then the tidal type is Diurnal, while if there are two waves in a day then the Semi-Diurnal type. The type of mixture will be displayed in the curve, if there are more than 1.5 waves a day then the type of mixture tends to be diurnal. On the other hand, if it is less than 1.5 waves it tends to be semi-diurnal. Two samples of recordings from Indonesia at the western end and Indonesia at the eastern end are also given.","PeriodicalId":71865,"journal":{"name":"海洋工程装备与技术","volume":"17 1","pages":"13-17"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89571955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) is expected to be able to identify fish in the waters faster than conventional methods because it can automatically recognize objects that are being recorded by implementing deep learning algorithms in it. This research aims to compare the performance of three algorithms (SSD-MobileNet, Faster-RCNN, and TinyYOLO) and determine the appropriate algorithm to be implemented tothe AUV. Models with the highest to lowest accuracy and precision are Faster-RCNN, SSD-MobileNet, and TinyYOLO. Models with the highest to lowest computing speed are SSD- MobileNet, TinyYOLO, and Faster-RCNN. SSD-MobileNet is stated to have the best performance with a mAP value of about 84.47% and a framerate of about 3.08 fps. The computation speedof SSD-MobileNet, when implemented on the Raspberry Pi, is around 18.02 fps with the addition of the Coral USB Accelerator. This allows the fish identification using the AUV to be accuratein real-time.","PeriodicalId":71865,"journal":{"name":"海洋工程装备与技术","volume":"7 1","pages":"39-44"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81303497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The hydrodynamic conditions in Balikpapan Bay are essential to know because it dramatically influences the processes that occur. This study will simulate the hydrodynamic pattern of Balikpapan Bay using the Delft3D numerical model by analyzing changes in the depth-averaged velocity and analysis related to the bottom current. The simulation results of the hydrodynamic model for sea-level elevation values are close to the conditions in the field, as indicated by the correlation coefficient 0.98, skill 0.93, and RMSE 0,16 m. The most dominant tidal components are M2 and S2, with a contribution value of 65.3%. In the spring tide conditions, the highest elevation value was 1.55 m, the lowest elevation was -1.42 m, so the tidal range is about 2.99 m. In the neap tide conditions, the highest elevation value was 0.62 m, the lowest elevation was - 0,57 m, so the tidal range was around 1.19 m. The highest current velocity magnitude is at a point B with a value of 0.31 m/s and occurs when flood tide during spring tide. A significant change in the tide when the ebb tide towards high tide at point C, which increases by 680%. Meanwhile, during the neap tide, significant changes occur in ebb tide conditions towards high tide at point B, which increases 689%. Significant changes when spring tide increases by 250% from point C to point D at ebb tide conditions. Meanwhile, significant changes occur from point B to point C at low tide during the neap tide, increasing the magnitude by 338%.","PeriodicalId":71865,"journal":{"name":"海洋工程装备与技术","volume":"32 1","pages":"18-24"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78988205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We present the development of new methods and algorithms for inserting a new message type into AIS transmission packets to deliver information on potential fish locations to the small fishing ships. The scheme is applied to the AIS class B system by putting the information onto the presently unused, we called Message-33. We have now successfully applied this technology to an AIS class- B system, where messages-33 have been successfully sent and received by the AIS Transceiver device. Data from Message-33 has also been successfully displayed to the monitor device. Thus, if fishermen can receive this message-33 information, then the information can be used by fishermen to guide them to fishing locations. We hope that this fishing information feature on their boats can help fishermen to increase their fishing capacity.","PeriodicalId":71865,"journal":{"name":"海洋工程装备与技术","volume":"198 1","pages":"6-12"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89446645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

INA-CBT system has a function to detect tsunami events by installing the submarine cable integrated with the Ocean Bottom Unit (OBU). OBUs are connected to a dedicated specific core for each OBU to the Landing Station (LS). INA- CBT systems were designed by using ring topology and TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) technology. To evaluate the ring topology performance when the failover dan failback event occurs, in this paper we measure the failover time as well as failback time to calculate the duration for each process with different scenarios. Also, we calculate accelerometer data packet loss during the event from each OBUs. We discover that the RK-MANTA ring topology reaches the expected results, where the failover duration average is 262.521 ms and the failback duration average is 107.660ms. This is a challenge for both exploration and exploitation. Underwater utilities are one of the solutions to connect the distribution of natural resources from sea to land. In the oil and gas industry, the distribution of oil and gas from the sea platform to the mainland is via undersea gas pipelines. Based on the regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources no. 16 of 2020 CHAPTER III, the target for development and transmission of natural gas until 2024 is 17,300 km, including subsea pipelines. In addition, the Decree of the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries No. 14 of 2021 strengthens the arrangement of submarine pipelines and cables in Indonesia. To arrange submarine cables and pipelines, it is necessary to update the condition of submarine pipelines and cables. The data can be used as a reference for action plans for the arrangement of existing pipelines and cables as well as the future construction of new lines. Geoscience methods such as Bathymetry, Side Scan Sonar, and Magnetic surveys can be applied to get an overview of the underwater pipeline conditions. The first stages are referring to secondary data from the Indonesian Navy Hydrographic and Oceanographic Center (PUSHIDROSAL) pipeline, and then determine the survey lines for bathymetry, side-scan sonar (SSS), and Magnetic. From the bathymetry data, the coordinates and estimates of objects in the form of pipes are obtained. The estimate object will be validated with the image from Side Scan Sonar. Furthermore, quantitative evidence of the object is carried out by observing the value of the magnetic anomaly. Bathymetry results in the research area (9301000 S- 9299500 Sand 224250 E - 227000 E) there is an object that is suspected to be piped. Then its overlapped with the SSS image, it is clear that the appearance of an object stretches along the path. Furthermore, it is validated with magnetic data at the location and shows a magnetic anomaly along with the suspected object. The graph of a high magnetic amplitude deviation indicates that the object contains metal (pipe).","PeriodicalId":71865,"journal":{"name":"海洋工程装备与技术","volume":"114 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76087262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can be found in marine sediment up to a thousand kilometers from its source (e.g., the Young Tuff Toba). The presence of a volcanic layer in marine sediment is critical for understanding Earth's processes. Here, we test amethod to determine the tephra layer in a marine sediment core. It is SO189/2_04KL from western Sumatra water, specifically in Bengkulu Basin, Indonesia. Using an X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) handheld, chemical composition wasobtained only in the interval 600–800 cm below the seafloor (cmbsf). We also used In (Rb/Sr) and In (Zr/Rb) to differentiate between primary and secondary VVUs.
