Poznyak","doi":"10.4236/IJMNTA.2017.62004","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4236/IJMNTA.2017.62004","url":null,"abstract":"This paper considers the problem of the HIV/AIDS Infection Process filtering characterized by three compounds, namely, the number of healthy T-cells, the number of infected T-cells and free virus particles. Only the first and third of them can be measurable during the medical treatment process. Moreover, the exact parameter values are admitted to be also unknown. So, here we deal with an uncertain dynamic model that excludes the application of classical filtering theory and requires the application of robust filters successfully working in the absence of a complete mathematical model of the considered process. The problem is to estimate the number of infected T-cells based on the available information. Here we admit the presence of stochastic “white noise” in current observations. To do that we apply the Luenberger-like filter (software sensor) with a matrix gain, which should be adjusted at the beginning of the process in such a way that the filtering error would be as less as possible using the Attractive Ellipsoid Method (AEM). It is shown that the corresponding trajectories of the filtering error converge to an ellipsoidal set of a prespecified form in mean-square sense. To generate the experimental data sequences in the test-simulation example, we have used the well-known simplified HIV/ AIDS model. The paper starts by discussing the Duffing oscillator which features a second order non-linear differential equation describing complex motion whereas the second model is the Van der Pol oscillator with non-linear damping. A first order actuator is added to both models to expand on the chaotic behavior of the oscillators. In order to control the system without comprising linearization, Lyapunov non-linear control was used. A control Lyapunov function was tailored to the system. This led to improved maneuverability of the controller and the performance of the overall system. The controller was found to be highly efficient in system tracking and had swift response time. Simulations were performed on both the uncontrolled and controlled cases. In order to achieve this control design, a modification of the conventional super twisting algorithm is adapted. Firstly, in order to prove the smoothing effect of the solution, we make efficient use of the analytic property of the semigroup generated by the principal operator of the equation in the phase space. Then we obtain the regularity of the global attractor and construct the approximate inertial manifold of the equation. It makes use of data obtained from simulations of patients on efavirenz. A system of ordinary differential equations is used to model movement state at some particular concentration. The movement states’ description is found for the primary and secondary level. The primary system is found to be predominantly an unstable system while the secondary system is stable. This is derived from the state of dynamic eigenvalues associated with the system. The saturated solution-particle is projected to be stable both for the primary potential and secondary state.
