To facilitate this extended program, it was necessary to concentrate on groups, as well as individual patients. In order to understand these new needs, a series of seminars was begun concerned with the theory and practice of intragroup relationships. It was hoped that the seminars could be useful to the development of occupational therapy for three reasons: 1. Collective activity being necessary to the functioning of occupational therapy, an understanding of the conditions favorable to integrating groups and to handling groups","PeriodicalId":6842,"journal":{"name":"A.M.A. archives of general psychiatry","volume":"1 ","pages":"425-33"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1959-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"23396222","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
