A centralized DC bus architecture is considered for the proposed hybrid sustainable energy system (HSES), where the power from DC bus is conditioned by the grid-connected inverter to supply the linear and nonlinear loads connected at the point of common coupling (PCC). However, the presence of multiple power electronic converters and nonlinear loads possesses an alleviated threat of harmonic pollution at the PCC. Moreover, the conventional LC-based passive filter connected after the inverter is ineffective in mitigating the harmonics generated for such a system. Hence, an effort is made to design and control an active power filter (APF). The designed APF is integrated with the HSES at the PCC. Results of various case studies prove that proper design, control, and integration of APF is effective in rendering harmonics compensation of supply currents by maintaining the total harmonic distortion (THD) at the PCC as per the specified IEEE Std. 519. Situations like load unbalancing and dynamic switching of nonlinear loads are undertaken to validate the performance of the APF in the considered system. The same is illustrated by extensive harmonic analysis and monitoring of various PCC electrical parameters.","PeriodicalId":6761,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Power Electronics, Control and Automation (ICPECA)","volume":"9 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80928549","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In traditional step-down converters, the entire control stage is referred to ground, thus either a pulse transformer or an isolated integrated gate driver is required. The paper proposes a buck converter having the entire control unit referred to the switching node. The design was carried out considering discrete components, which allows for low-cost and low-profile implementation. Simulations were conducted to validate the proposed converter, and to compare it with traditional high-side gate driver topologies. The overall efficiency results to be consistent with the other topologies, whereas the estimated occupied area and the cost, at PCB level, are both significantly lower.","PeriodicalId":6761,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Power Electronics, Control and Automation (ICPECA)","volume":"26 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84673126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The designed UWB antenna consists of a microstrip line feed of 50 $Omega$, rhombus-shaped monopole radiator, and a rectangular ground surface. In order to achieve a miniaturized antenna configuration, the two edges of the ground plane are modified by using the Koch fractal shape of second-order. Further, in the radiating element of the UWB antenna, elliptical-shaped complementary split-ring resonator (CSRR) is loaded to notch the interfering Wi-MAX (3.5 GHz) and WLAN (5.5 GHz) signals. The designed antenna covers a bandwidth $left(S_{11} leq-10 mathrm{dB}right)$ of 3-12.8 GHz (9.8 GHz) with two notches at 3.5 GHz (3.3-3.7 GHz) and 5.5 GHz (5.3-5.7 GHz).","PeriodicalId":6761,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Power Electronics, Control and Automation (ICPECA)","volume":"29 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85247065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is inherently found in ultrasound imaging. Removing spots always trades between noise suppression and loss of information, and experts are very concerned about this. Therefore, we hope to retain as much important information as possible. Here in this paper we tried to find the effect of multiple iteration of any filter to remove the speckle noise from the image. The results are very informative which showed that some filters behave abruptly and gives higher values for lower iteration than showed some stability and again its values increased. The paper tried to show the impact of different filters by increment of iterations during removal of speckle noise from the ultrasound imaging.","PeriodicalId":6761,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Power Electronics, Control and Automation (ICPECA)","volume":"7 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89637686","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Yet, OFDM is certainly not a right contender for 5G as it isn’t fit for supporting the various applications 5G is going to offer and 4G wireless communication techniques go through from the limitations of High Peak-to-Average-Power-Ratio (PAPR), Cyclic Prefix (CP) and sideband leakage is another limitation of OFDM. Objectives:: Our intention is to design an innovative waveform having great spectral-efficacy and less PAPR for 5G Wireless-Communication System. Techniques /Analysis: In this paper, distinctive subcarriers and QAM regulation methods are used to evaluate the PAPR of numerous multicarrier modulation techniques like OFDM, Filter Bank Multicarrier Modulation (FBMC), Universal Filtered Multicarrier (UFMC), etc. Findings: Because of the presence of CP, the spectral-efficacy of OFDM is poor rather than the FBMC and UFMC and consequently can be enriched by FBMC and UFMC. CP can also be eliminated by making use of the independent filters for individual subcarriers and intensification in the subcarriers moderates the PAPR further. Improvements: On comparing various multicarrier modulation techniques like OFDM, FBMC, UFMC, etc. It is concluded that UFMC is an improved waveform technique for future wireless communication technique (5G) having less PAPR and PAPR can be additionally diminished by applying the optimization procedures.","PeriodicalId":6761,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Power Electronics, Control and Automation (ICPECA)","volume":"2 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89916205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
