In particular, the mobile devices offload a portion of their computationintensive and delay-sensitive tasks to the UAVs to minimize local computing energy consumption. However, the coupling constraints of limited energy budget at UAVs and task completion deadlines make it difficult to determine device association and the amount of task to be offloaded. Moreover, the amount of computing resources assigned to the mobile devices by each UAV might vary according to the number of associated users and the amount of task offloaded from them. Therefore, in this work, we formulate a joint device association, task assignment and computing resource allocation problem to minimize the energy consumption of mobile devices and UAVs by considering the energy budget and available computing resources at the UAVs and task completion deadline constraints. To that end, we show that the proposed optimization problem is a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problem, which is generally a nonconvex and NP-hard problem. To solve this, we first decompose the formulated problem into three subproblems which are then solved by applying an iterative block coordinate descent (BCD) algorithm. Through the extensive simulations, we verify that our proposed algorithm outperforms the other benchmark schemes, namely, random association and offloading all.","PeriodicalId":6741,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"46 1","pages":"213-218"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90340720","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to collect environmental information from anyway of the vast farmland, the construction of sensor networks using LPWA that enables long-distance communication has been attracting attention. However, many obstacles such as crops and agricultural machinery on the farm makes long-distance wireless communication difficult even when using the LPWA. In addition, even when the clear line of sight from the sensor nodes is ensured, the radio waves may interfere with each other, which makes the gateway impossible to receive the sensor data correctly.Therefore, in this research, we develop a sensor network system using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that can move freely in the sky. The UAV works as a gateway to collect the sensor data from the sensor nodes and move autonomously for searching the locations where they can maintain good communication property from sensor nodes dispersed over a wide area of a large farm. Furthermore, in order to improve the efficiency of the sensor data retrieval, the sensor nodes within the same area of the farm construct clusters and select one representative node in each cluster. In addition, in order to prevent radio interference caused by simultaneous data transmission, the sensor nodes are implements media access control mechanism for LPWA.","PeriodicalId":6741,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"11 1","pages":"225-230"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87185320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this end, cognitive spectrum sensing technologies can be utilized to detect unused wireless channels in the coverage area of the user devices, which are possibly used for deviceto-device communications efficiently. However, frequent wide range sensing of spectrum extremely exhausts energy resource of the user devices. In this paper, we propose a probabilistic cognitive spectrum sensing (PCSS) mechanism to overcome this challenge. In the PCSS mechanism, a cube sensing organization map (CSOM) is dimensionalized on the basis of channels and locations in the coverage area. Weight of each block in the CSOM represents the probability that a user device successfully senses the corresponding channel idle in the corresponding location. The weight of each block is learned after every sensing periods to reinforce the CSOM. Consequently, user devices sense the list of channels in their proximity with the probabilities indicated by the weight of the best matching CSOM blocks. Simulation results show that the PCSS mechanism overcomes the existing techniques in terms of energy efficiency and positive sensing ratio.","PeriodicalId":6741,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"70 1","pages":"858-863"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87073935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent improvements in the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) cells and energy storage system (ESS) capacity have prompted many electricity consumers to install such systems and become energy prosumers. Peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading between consumers of energy deficit and prosumers with surplus energy reserves is desirable to provide incentives to install clean energy resources and achieve balance between supply and demand. This paper proposes the application of the Vickery-Clarke-Groves (VCG) auction-based trustful algorithm on such P2P energy trading. By doing so, improved auction environments for truthful energy bids and optimal energy resource allocation can be established.","PeriodicalId":6741,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"53-55"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79822682","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a lack of data transmission resources in the terrestrial network is solved by DBSs (drone base stations). In the suggested model, MBSs (macrocell base stations) are used to provide resources for backhaul connectivity to DBSs. DBSs (drone base stations) provide downlink connectivity to user terminals whose demand cannot be satisfied by terrestrial SBSs (small cell base stations). To accomplish optimal allocation between supply and demand of data transmission resources, several research results based on competitive market settings have been introduced. However, security, privacy, and trust guaranteed issues are not actively discussed in the results. Data transmission resources are allocated by the resource-demanding objects. If resource-demanding objects report manipulated malicious information for their own interest to obtain more resources, the whole resource allocation system can be vulnerable due to the selfish resource-demanding objects. This paper represents a novel algorithm that guarantees the trustfulness of resource-demanding objects. Vickrey-Clarke -Groves auction-based trust guaranteed algorithm is proposed for data transmission resource allocation between DBSs and user terminals through access links. In the VCG auction-based mechanism, DBSs (auctioneers) provide QOS (quality of service) to user terminals that their demand is not satisfied by the surrounding SBSs (bidders).","PeriodicalId":6741,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"156 1","pages":"317-320"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85328526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There have been many algorithms proposed to deal with this problem. However, these algorithms all have their own drawbacks such as long processing duration, huge data requirements, extremely computational consumption, and low accuracy response. In this circumstance, in this paper, a novel algorithm based on a combination of deep learning and camera geometry is proposed for vehicle distance estimation. The proposed algorithm demonstrates fast processing duration which is contributed by the deep learning base technique. Moreover, thanks to the simplicity of camera geometry, the proposed algorithm requires minimal data to perform the estimation. By combining deep learning and camera geometry, the proposed algorithm can provide high estimation accuracy while keeping the model simple and fast. The performance of the proposed algorithm is verified through experiments results.","PeriodicalId":6741,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"17 1","pages":"853-857"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87697191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An advantage of the federated learning is its effectiveness of preserving the privacy of local raw data. However, it is challenging to meet the demands on latency of exchanging data on wireless multiple access channel (MAC) with limited bandwidth. Over-the-air computation (AirComp) is a potential solution to this problem, which leverages the superposition property of MAC channel. This work addresses the signal processing optimization of both digital federated learning and AirComp schemes under multiuser MIMO uplink system. For either system, a mathematical optimization problem is formulated and tackled by deriving an iterative algorithm. Via numerical results, the mean squared error (MSE) performance of the digital and AirComp schemes is compared.","PeriodicalId":6741,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"6 1","pages":"495-498"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83356653","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Kubernetes offers resource management to isolate the resource usage of containers on a host server because performance isolation is an important factor in terms of service quality. This paper investigates whether the resource management of Kubernetes is sufficient to isolate the performance of containers. This is different from previous studies that mostly focuses on efficient resource management rather than the study on performance interference. We evaluate the performance interference 1) between CPU-intensive and networkintensive containers, and 2) between multiple network-intensive containers. Our evaluation results show that containers experience performance degradation by 50% due to the co-located containers even under the resource management of Kubernetes. This paper also points out that the root cause of the performance interference between multiple network-intensive containers is CPU contention, not network bandwidth. As a result, Kubernetes needs to consider the CPU usage of network-related workloads in resource management in order to mitigate the performance interference.","PeriodicalId":6741,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"4 1","pages":"154-158"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90940869","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In such a situation, steganography, which is a communication technology that embeds information in images, is attracting attention. Image steganography is roughly classified into two types: pixel value replacement and transform domain usage. In most cases, pixel value replacement steganography, which uses the least significant bit (LSB) of the image, is used. However, it is easy to predict when hidden information is embedded in the lower bits of an image. In this study, we propose a correlation-based steganography that embeds secret information encrypted by Shamir’s secret sharing scheme using the spread spectrum method and analyze its basic characteristics.","PeriodicalId":6741,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"52 18","pages":"255-260"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91420653","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
