Thus, miniaturized tags that achieve read ranges of several meters are of major interest for these applications. In this contribution, the design of a small antenna to tag metallic items is presented. It achieves a maximum read range of 13.3 meters and its dimensions are 14.3 × 25 × 3 mm3. The proposed design consists in a short-ended parallel plate. It is mounted on a ceramic substrate to obtain the required miniaturization. Essential to its realization is a novel ultra-wideband array that incorporates suitable balanced feeds. Also, unique bandwidth reconfiguration technique is presented via simple tuning of the balanced feed behind antenna elements to null sensitive RF bands. The purpose was to investigate the amount of attenuation due to precipitation, especially rain and wet snow, and its yearly variations. The attenuation of the radio link signal was measured. The measured attenuation results are compared to the models given by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The predominant cause of fading was rain and wet snow. The fading due to combined rain and wet snow is underestimated by ITU-R 530-15 [1]. A dual-row array was excited in circularly polarized (CP) and radiofrequency (RF) shimming modes. In both excitation modes, CSF partially shielded the brain from the array RF field. It resulted in decreases of both transmit and safety excitation efficiencies. The frequency band of observation is from 1700MHz to 2700 MHz, covering the UMTS and LTE communication bands. This bandwidth is chosen to show the broadband effects on the scattering parameters as well as on the radiation patterns. For the radiation behavior the focus is on the differences between a constant and a frequency dependent half power beamwidth. Theoretically, the new structure may be considered as a two layer shielded structure where the bottom layer consists of an array of periodic metallic pins which works as an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC). However, it is difficult to evaluate electromagnetic properties and performance of the new waveguide by using traditional waveguide ports or discrete ports in available full-wave simulator. In order to solve the problem, this paper proposes an effective method to determine dimensions of traditional waveguide ports in existing commercial full wave simulator to be used while simulating the inverted microstrip gap waveguide structures. The procedure includes the analysis of quasi-TEM mode of the inverted microstrip gap waveguide and the corresponding size of the waveguide port, as well as the location and boundary conditions used in the simulation software. In medical imaging applications, the illposedness and non-linearity of the electromagnetic (EM) inverse problem still represents a big challenge before moving to clinical trials. This paper applies a novel thresholding algorithm to the linear inversion at each iteration of the Distorted Born Iterative Method (DBIM), which is amongst the most popular algorithms that deal with the EM nonlinear problem. In this paper, the abilities and design of microstrip linear array antenna, fed by multiport feeding with uniform excitation coefficient in all array elements are presented for sidelobe level reduction at 28 GHz. By using the proximity coupled feed, simulation result gave -10 dB impedance bandwidth of 1.42 GHz and reflection coefficient of -35.5 dB has been achieved. The sidelobe level at broadside decreased from -11.77 dB to -14.76 dB (N = 4) and -12.77 dB to -15.98 dB (N = 8) with unequally spaced array.
