The simulation of condition and parameters of coronary arteries with atherosclerotic lesions is an actual problem of modern biomechanics. The aim of the present work was to study the stress-strain state of the intact portion of the coronary artery with uniform circular stenosis. 3D computer modeling of the stress - strain state of the intact portion of the coronary artery with a circular irregular stenosis, the study of its mechanical parameters in accordance with the load on it with the atherosclerotic plaque and during stenting was performed. Comparative analysis of the influence of boundary conditions fixing the coronary arteries relative to the epicardium and geometric characteristics of the stenosis on the basic mechanical parameters of the stress-strain state of an artery was realized. The results of this analysis allow to minimize the dimension of the input data that affect the computer simulation. The results of study suggest of the necessity of development and creation of expert decision support system for interventional cardiologist in the field of stent size selection and balloon blowup pressure to reduce the traumatization of the endothelial vessel's layer during the operation, as well as reducing the duration of the procedure.","PeriodicalId":6503,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Computational Technologies (SIBIRCON)","volume":"77 1","pages":"176-179"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74062121","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Here, we are reviewing our recent publications reporting on ultra-small nanoprobes engineered through oriented conjugation of quantum dots (QDs) with 13-kDa single-domain antibodies (sdAbs) derived from llama and produced in E. coli. Developed nanoprobes with hydrodynamic diameter below 12 nm contain four homogeneously oriented copies of sdAbs on the surface of each QD. They demonstrated excellent specificity and sensitivity for the quantitative detection of rare biomarker-expressing cells using flow cytometry. The higher diffusibility of sdAbs enables immunohistochemical analysis of thick tissues not accessible to mAbs. The data shows that sdAbs-QD conjugates lead to biopsy tissue labelling displaying an equivalent or even better quality than that obtained with gold standard immunohistochemical diagnostics. Developed sdAbs-QD nanoprobes should find numerous applications in multiplexed high-throughput diagnostics and FRET-based detection platforms.","PeriodicalId":6503,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Computational Technologies (SIBIRCON)","volume":"37 1","pages":"113-118"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79526114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different parameter combinations were used, with the quality of prediction of the systolic and diastolic pressures used as the principle validation criterion. It is shown that with an appropriate personalization the model can provide adequate predictions (correlations near 0.9), where the decisive role is played by the total peripheral resistance parameter. Meanwhile parameters of the largest arteries do not play a significant role in the prediction.","PeriodicalId":6503,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Computational Technologies (SIBIRCON)","volume":"5 1","pages":"76-81"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84186893","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This fact gives rise to two questions. What analogies can be found between BCI and linguistic approaches, methods, experience; what hypothesis about applicability of linguistics to BCI can be proposed? What challenges for linguistics can result from prospective development of BCI? The paper considers both issues. For the first it draws parallels between BCI (particularly training the BCI skill) and field linguistics. For the second the paper considers challenges connected with general and semantic linguistic issues.","PeriodicalId":6503,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Computational Technologies (SIBIRCON)","volume":"41 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91220638","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was shown that irradiation of the matrices with an electron beam generated by the electron beam accelerator ILA-6 (2.2 MeV, 400 mA 10 Hz, “Radiochemical technologies Ltd”) can potentially be used for sterilization of the matrices (irradiation by a dose of 25 kGy does not interfere with the mechanical properties of all studied matrices). Irradiation of the matrices produced from PCL by a dose of 100 kGy increases the proportional limit of the material and allowed us to introduce durable regions into the vascular grafts by irradiating the graft through the template with open areas. Electron beam irradiation of the matrices does not interfere with the capacity of the matrices to support adhesion and viability of primary human endotheliocytes at the surfaces of these matrices, as it was shown using Alamar Blue assay.","PeriodicalId":6503,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Computational Technologies (SIBIRCON)","volume":"34 1","pages":"39-42"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79028161","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
