The concept of collision suppression cone is firstly introduced to define a probable collision area. When moving obstacles approach this area, the proposed DWA-CSC will be activated to allow the robot avoiding the obstacles smoothly and thus preventing collision with them by suppressing its motion direction and velocity, just like the way of obstacle avoidance done by human beings. Various simulation results show that the proposed DWA-CSC approach indeed achieve the avoidance of moving obstacles safely and smoothly.","PeriodicalId":6467,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 16th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN)","volume":"20 1","pages":"337-342"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77183467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But due to increasing data availability provided by IoT-devices, new possibilities regarding data-driven modeling arise. The purpose of this article is to develop a concept which is able to combine data-driven models created during operation with such respective theoretical models created during the design phase. The model combination should result in an added value for the operator at shop floor in the shape of real-time-capable simulation models. Initially, the different modeling methods as well as the way they can be combined are introduced. Afterwards, a concept for training and operation will be presented. The article ends with a first example demonstrating the potential of the approach.","PeriodicalId":6467,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 16th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN)","volume":"182 1","pages":"258-263"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88471576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For example, semantic models are used as knowledge bases that encapsulate different type of information of manufacturing systems, e.g., statuses and capabilities of their cyber and physical resources. Moreover, these models can be updated and accessed during runtime. In this context, models are becoming a critical part of the system infrastructure for both controlling and monitoring activities. However, models tend to be designed for specific purposes and not standardized. This is an issue because the employed formalisms, such as ontologies, emerged in order to bring an engineering tool for commonly classifying, defining, and sharing information. This article proposes the development of modular ontologies based on different parts of the ISA-95 standard for describing the product, process, and resource information of manufacturing systems. In addition, this research work demonstrates a set of semantic rules that may be used for inferring implicit knowledge of the ontology that permits the automatic checking of the required machines to manufacture different product variants.","PeriodicalId":6467,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 16th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN)","volume":"15 1","pages":"374-380"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77048526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For reduction of the total cost, the disparity of the price of DAM and the price of RDM (Real Day Market) should be considered by the LSEs. Therefore, the problem is that a more accurate load-forecasting model sometimes provide a price that has an interspace will lead to a lower cost. Facing this issue, this paper initiates a load forecasting model considering the Costing Correlated Factor (CCF) with deep Long Short-term Memory (LSTM). The target of the forecast model contains both accuracy section and power cost section. At the same time, the construct of LSTM can of fset the sacrificed accuracy. Also, this paper uses an Adaptive Moment Estimation algorithm for network training and the type of neuron is Rectified Linear Unit (ReLU). A numerical study based on practical data is presented and the result shows that LSTM with CCF can reduce energy cost with acceptable accuracy level.","PeriodicalId":6467,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 16th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN)","volume":"27 1","pages":"496-501"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87305814","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It consists of a considerable amount of devices, also known as motes, with sensory capacity and wireless connectivity deployed in a wide geographical area. Such devices face limitations in terms of energy, memory and processing. A common topology in LNN is a mesh-like one. The communication between nodes often happens in a multi-hop fashion due to their limited transmission range. There is a need of efficient routing protocols, in terms of energy consumption. The present paper depicts a routing algorithm based on ant colony optimization. It also shows details about its implementation in the Contiki OS network system and analysis of its performance in comparison with the default Contiki’s mesh routing protocol. Results shown that the proposed algorithm had a better performance in terms of packet delivery rate, duty cycling and energy consumption.","PeriodicalId":6467,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 16th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"43-48"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90279141","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In most cases, these constraints describe timing, precedence or resource restriction. Correct description and evaluation of these complex information along of RTES design are directly related to their reliability, safety and quality. In this research, a methodology to describe real-time and embedded information in requirements, functional, logical and technical viewpoints is briefly presented, as well as an approach to analyze the annotated constraints. MARTE constraints have been consistently applied in designing models and implemented at lower abstraction models. Here, pseudo automated generation of timing, precedence and resources constraints is performed from the graphical models to the final source code models. Therefore, the proposed approach has a great value to RTES design once it has traced constraints along of the architectural design and it also presents a manner to check if constraints are being reached in accordance with early design description.","PeriodicalId":6467,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 16th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN)","volume":"172 1","pages":"875-881"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73506330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditional approaches use a local Information Technology (IT) framework centralized in a server in order to provide these services. Cost of equipment and IT manpower are associated with the implementation of a condition monitoring based on machine learning. Nowadays, cloud computing can replace local IT frameworks with a remote service, which can be paid according to the customer needs. This paper proposes a cloud-based architecture for condition monitoring based on machine learning, which the end-user can assess through a web application. The condition monitoring is implemented using a fusion of classification methods. The fusion is implemented using Dempster-Shafer Evidence Theory (DSET). The results show that the use of DSET improves the overall result.","PeriodicalId":6467,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 16th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN)","volume":"205 1","pages":"163-168"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77040230","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To facilitate better decisions about the mechanical properties of the part and, consequently, the need for re-work, a manufacturing database is proposed that creates a digital twin of the part as manufactured. The main contribution of the paper is to highlight how to merge incoming sensor data into the database and how to use these data to determine the margin of safety for the part. This is demonstrated on the example of an ADMP (automated dry material placement) process during the manufacturing of a section of an aircraft wing lower cover.","PeriodicalId":6467,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 16th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN)","volume":"25 1","pages":"803-808"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78221022","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the present paper developed a methodology to design an autonomous micro- hydric/solar/eolic/battery system in Park of Covilhã, Portugal. Annual data of wind speed, solar irradiance and temperature are used. Afterwards, the components of the system and optimization objectives have been modelled. Based on a two- objective optimization, the present methodology combines loss of power supply probability and embodied energy. An optimal configuration has been put in place using a dynamic simulator and applying a controlled elitist genetic algorithm. Two study cases have been investigated in order to eco-size the system and evaluate the energetic potential in the park. The obtained results show that, in the first case, the PV/Wind/Battery system can provide more than 95% of the electric needs while in the second case, the micro hydric system can provide 100 % of the electric needs without the complementarity of solar and wind turbine sources (0% in the solar and wind energy output).","PeriodicalId":6467,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 16th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN)","volume":"9 1","pages":"1018-1023"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82000905","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
