Particular emphasis has been placed on the development of this form of education in Poland in recent years. It also mentions the importance of teaching in the home environment as a method of natural and child-friendly acquisition of knowledge about the world and the transmission of moral values professed by parents. Materials and methods: The collected scientific materials from various periods, concerning the issues of homeschooling in Poland and in the world, were subjected to a critical analysis. Conclusions: As a result of the conducted research, a uniform historical outline was obtained, and the collected information was presented in a chronological order.
