The productivity and growth of oil palm is partly controlled by the relationship between the top of the plant (the leaf) and the bottom of the plant (root). This study aims to find out the effect of root pruning and the number of fronds on the growth, production and quality of oil palm products. The research was conducted for 12 months from February 2018 to January 2019 in gardens owned by the community of Petapahan Village, Tapung District of Kampar Regency, Riau. The research was conducted experimentally using split plot design which is grouped based on different plant age (5 years, 10 years and 15 years). The main plot is the pruning of oil palm, Normal, Light, and Heavy fronds. The plot is trimming the roots of oil palm 75%, 50% and 25%. The results showed that root pruning and the number of fronds did not affect the interaction of observational premeters. Pruning the roots independently gives a noticeable influence on the content of mesocarp oil. Self-trimming of the fronds has a real effect on the total increase in oil. Plants grown on marginal soil, especially saline soils, show abnormal growth due to oxidative damages causes yield decrease even death of the plants. The objectives was to study invigoration technique using natural antioxidant and mycorrhizal fungi to increase soybeans tolerance under salinity stress. The research used factorial randomized block design. The first factor was salinity stress (0 and 1 % (w/v) NaCl concentration), the second factor was natural antioxidant (0, 1, 1.5, and 2% mangosteen peel extracts), and the third factor was arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, 0 and 1g/polybag. The research was replicated three times. The variables were plant height, number of leaves, leave area, chlorophyl content, yield components and yield of soybean. The data was analyzed with Anova and Duncan’s multiple range test at 5% significant level.  The conclusion was that salinity stress inhibited plant growth, yield components and yield of soybean. The application of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi decreased the negative impact of salinity on vegetative growth, yield components and yield of soybean. The experimental design used was a non-factorial randomized block design. Job’s tears used in this study is a cultivar of beras. The research objective was to determine the effect of various levels of population density on job’s tears growth in sub-optimal area. The density of the population used in this study is that A1 = 62,500 plants / ha (spacing of 40 x 40 cm), A2 = population of 50,000 plants / ha (spacing of 50 x 40 cm), A3 = 40,000 plants / ha (spacing 50 x 50 cm), A4 = 33,333 plants / ha (spacing 50 x 60 cm), A5 = 28,571 plants / ha (spacing 50 x 70 cm), A6 = 25,000 plants / ha (spacing 50 x 80 cm), A7 = 22,222 plants / ha (spacing 50 x 90 cm), and A8 = 20,000 plants / ha (spacing 50 x 100 cm). The results showed that the density of the plant population that was too dense had an effect on the decline in several growth components but showed the highest average ILD value. Whereas treatment with population density that was not too high or by using spacing that was tenuous gave the best effect on the variables of plant height, number of tillers and number of leaves. The activity was carried out at the Harapan Mulya farmer group, Dusun Baru Village, VII Koto District, Tebo Regency, Keltan Suka Jaya, Village Suo-suo Kec. Sumay, Tebo Regency and Sido Makmur Keltan, Simpang Village, Kacamatan Berbak, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency from January to December 2019. The soybean seed multiplication activities are carried out in a participatory manner in collaboration with farmers from planning, implementation to initial evaluation and processing so farmers understand each stage of captivity activities. The data collected consists of secondary and primary data. Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively, while quantitative data were analyzed with variance. Financial feasibility analysis of seed production is carried out through Revenue per Cost (R / C.) The variety of corn that is in great demand by the public is sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt). The main pest that often attacks sweet corn plants is Helicoverpa armigera Hubner. Pest control can be carried out using botanical insecticides of tuba roots (Derris elliptica benth.). This research aims to obtain a concentration of tuba root flour extract which was effective against Helicoverpa armigera Hubner. The research was conducted at the Plant Pest Laboratory and Organic Chemistry and Natural Material Laboratory, Faculty of Engineering, Riau University. It was started from January to March 2020. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and four replications so that 20 experimental units were obtained. The treatments given were various concentrations of tuba root flour extract, namely: 0%, 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75% and 1%. The results showed that the difference in the concentration of tuba root flour extract had a significant effect on killing Helicoverpa armigera larvae. However, garlic production in Indonesia has not been able to meet the demands of society's needs. For this reason, an additional area of land for garlic development is aimed at the optimal suitability of environmental physical factors. The use of superior varieties is one of the technologies that play a role in increasing the productivity of garlic. This research was conducted in May - August 2020 in Tarusan and Muaro Aie Bayang Utara, Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province with a randomized block design using Lumbu Hijau, Lumbu Kuning and local varieties of Bukik Sileh Solok as treatment. The results showed that the varieties of Lumbu Kuning and Lumbu Hijau were able to adapt well in Muaro Aie with an altitude of 322 masl compared to Tarusan with an altitude of 4 masl. One of alternative in controlling Fusarium oxysporum fungy is by using Botanical Pestiside on of them is talas beneng. This plants is local plants that grows wild around Karang Mountain, Pandeglang, Banten. A research to determine the effectiviness extract of talas beneng leaf ( Xanthosoma undipes K.Koch) as fungy control Fusarium oxysporum in banana plants in vitro . The research used  randomized completely design with five treatments and five replication. The treatments is consisting of talas beneng leaf extract 0%, 5%, 5,5%, 6%, dan 6,5%. Observation was conducted after incubation for nine days at room temperature. The parameters observed was inhibition Fusarium oxysporum growth with indicated size of the diameter mycelium colony, inhibition percentage of mycelium and inhibits and thickness mycelium . Saline-resistant nitrogen fixing bacteria Azotobacter are expected to increase supply nitrogen in saline soils. The objectives of the study were to determine the effect of liquid inoculant concentration of two Azotobacter isolates on early vegetative growth of lowland rice grown in potted saline soil.  The greenhouse trial design was a randomized block design with seven treatments and four replications. The treatments were combination of isolates and Azotobacter liquid inoculant concentrations in single and mixed inoculation. The results showed that all plants experienced chlorosis and stunt due to high Electrical Conductivity. Inoculation of different isolates and concentrations did not influence the growth of lowland rice in soil with high EC at the end of experiment. Utilization of marginal land is one of the important solutions to be done. One type of marginal soil is inceptisol, with limiting factors for low soil chemical fertility, especially the element P. The element P can become available for plants with the help of AMF. To reveal the performance of plant growth through the combination of three Jatropha cultivars with the best dose of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and cytokinin concentrations on plant photosynthesis results in two different locations. The experiment starts from January 2019 until June 2019 at an altitude of 0-50 meters above sea level (lowlands) and altitudes from 750 to 850 meters above sea level. The combined trial evaluated jatropha cultivar and the best arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi dose and repeated cytokinin concentrations three times. The first research was using randomized completely block design with factorial design group, consisting two factors, the first factor was concentration of nano-based compound fertilizer consisting of four levels: without nano-tech fertilizers, 2.5 ml/L, 5 ml/L, 7.5 ml/L. The second factor was:variety consisting of three levels: Bima Brebes, Maja Cipanas, Trisula. The experiment was repeated three times, the whole experimental unit was 36. The results showed that the application of nano-tech compound fertilizer with 5 ml/L gave the best growth and yield to the height parameters of four WAP (42.33 cm), number of leaves four WAP (39.33 cm) and five WAP (42.67 strands), and tuber weights without roots and leaves per clump (37.19 g). Bima Brebes variety gave the best growth and yield to the height parameters one WAP (10.74 cm), two WAP (25.55 cm), 3 WAP (35.27 cm), 4 WAP (42.63 cm) and 5 WAP (47.33 cm), and tuber weights without roots and leaves per clump (36.29 g).
