For this purpose, it identified seven diagnostic factors namely business operations disruptions, loss of human resources, changing cost structure due to safety requirements, work structure and culture change, disruption of supply chain and logistics, changing customer requirement and behaviour, and consequences of interventions on sustainability. The assessment was conducted using a 29-item scale scored on a 7-point scale representing the level of impact on the respective firm’s business model. The proposed model assesses the composite score and relative importance index for each business factor, highlights the approach for investigating the validity and reliability of this multidimensional model, and makes short- and long-term impact evaluation with multiple linear regression and difference-in-difference (DiD) method, respectively. Diagnostics assessment determines the form and extent of business model reconfiguration. It can either be an adjustment driven by the introduction or enhancement of world class work practices, a business re-engineering, or a complete change of the business model. This model can be applied to both the primary and secondary economic sectors to determine the changes required in the business model of a firm.","PeriodicalId":55819,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Research","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83761977","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, organizations investing in information technology are in dire requirement of developing and implementing the effective interventions. The purpose of this is to optimize information technology adoption and its maximum usage among the HRIS users. The existing knowledge base in HRIS Use Behavior hardly addresses the relationship of Charismatic Leadership and Technology Self-Efficacy in the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). The current study has developed an ‘integrative conceptual model’ contributing a theoretical extension of the UTAUT model, which fills he identified theoretical gaps, grounded on UTAUT, Charismatic Leadership theory, and the Social Cognitive Theory. The salient feature of this study is that it conceptualizes and introduces two constructs: 1) Technology Self-Efficacy and 2) Charismatic Leadership, in extending a validated information system Use Behavior or ‘explanatory model’ as a theoretical contribution. This concept paper argues that the Charismatic Leadership and Technology Self-Efficacy have a positive relationship among the UTAUT model's HRIS Use Behavior-related variables. However, it can be integrated towards arriving at a ‘coherent conceptual model’ to be researched and validated. This particular study has developed a ‘coherent conceptual framework’ in studying the phenomenon of HRIS Use Behavior. Furthermore, it studies the role of Charismatic Leadership and Technology Self-Efficacy in affecting the psychological aspect of the end users of a Human Resource Information System (HRIS)","PeriodicalId":55819,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Research","volume":"40 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73867349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this approach is to stimulate the growth and development of new startups, spin-offs, TTOs (Technology transfer offices), and existing firms. (UBIs) are dedicating a facility by providing subsidized office space, consultation, and other services. The current study is aimed to systematically review the literature of university business incubators and accelerators by keeping in view the importance of (UBIs). Besides, it also focuses on their roles of performance in economic and social development by promoting entrepreneurship at university campuses. This study is unique in a sense that it contributes to the university business incubation research by reviewing, synthesizing, and evaluating its literature with ‘citations-based analysis approach’. Data of this research has been analyzed with the ‘Scopus Database’ since, 2001 to 2020. Articles have been screened and shortlisted based on predefined eligibility criteria.  We have used ‘R-Studio Biblioshiny Software’ for articles’ scientometric analysis including most influential journals, authors, articles, and top contributing countries. Quantitative analysis has performed including yearly publications trend, citations trend, and top articles based on average citations. VOS-Viewer Software has also been used to perform co-occurrence analysis and co-authorship analysis. The content analysis of top 50, highly cited articles has been conducted to identify the methodological approaches, variables, and theoretical underpinnings. Findings contribute to university business incubation’s (UBIs), literature by analyzing the articles individually, start-ups, incubators, networks, and university levels. Theoretical underpinnings used in (UBIs), represent the ‘institutional theory’, ‘knowledge spillover theory of entrepreneurship’, ‘resource-based view’ (RBV), ‘structural theory’, and ‘triple helix model’.","PeriodicalId":55819,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Research","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84964869","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A conceptual framework has been developed based on the perspective of Service Dominant Logic, which connotes that value is created from the integration of resources through interactions between co-creating partners. The aim of this study is to elucidate the types of resources used for integration by employing different modes of interactions for value creation sought by the university and industry. For this purpose, a case study based on the co-creation between the Centre of Excellence for Molecular Biology (CEMB) at University of the Punjab and Four Brothers (Pvt) Ltd is conducted, to develop Transgenic Cotton technology, which was first of its kind in Pakistan. Qualitative data was obtained through semi-structured interviews from a sample of 13 respondents. Thematic analysis was used after transcribing and importing data to NVivo 12 plus. The study revealed the type of resources, interactions and value or outcome sought that characterized the successful co-creation. It also highlights the challenges faced during the collaborative project. Finally, the recommendations are proposed for the enhancement of co-creation within the context of industry and public university of Pakistan.","PeriodicalId":55819,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Research","volume":"283 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74742454","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study further investigates the role of job security and affective commitment as moderators on the relationship between ethical leadership and whistleblowing. This study examined the fundamental moderating mechanism, which is unique because no such mechanism has been investigated in previous research. A cross-sectional representative sample of 285 Federal Government employees from various Ministries/Divisions and the Benazir Income Support Programme, a corporate body and a renowned social safety net under the Federal Government of Pakistan, was collected. Of the 285 questionnaires, only 241 were deemed useable and were analyzed. A statistical analysis was carried out through correlation, descriptive, and moderated regression analysis. The results supported the first three hypotheses that ethical leadership and whistleblowing had a positive relationship. Furthermore, job security moderated the positive relationship between ethical leadership and whistleblowing, such that the relationship is stronger for employees with high job security and weaker for employees with low job security. Affective commitment also moderated the relationship directly meaning that the relationship is stronger when the affective commitment is strong and weaker when it is weak. Discussion, implications, limitations, and future directions have been suggested in accordance with the results of the study.","PeriodicalId":55819,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Research","volume":"140 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86142954","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present study aims to look at the influence of conflict on employees’ agility and employee’s perceived job performance. This research divides conflict into two separate dimensions as task and relationship conflict to investigate the impact of each on agility and job performance. The data is collected by employing a self-structured questionnaire using 23 items and a 5-point Likert scale from the employees of a hygiene and sanitation company in Cameroon. The proposed model is examined via PLS-SEM. Overall, the study reveals that there is a negative coefficient in the relationship between relationship conflict and employee’s agility; a significant positive relationship between task conflict and employee agility; and a positive significant relationship between employee’s agility and employee perceived job performance. The generated results validate that task conflict is vital and welcome to workers; thus, managers are expected not to blindly avoid conflicts. The consequence of a constructive conflict can be employee agility which in itself will lead to a high level of job performance.","PeriodicalId":55819,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Research","volume":"826 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76942667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Though E-leadership is a concept that has previously been discussed, academic literature on this concept is scarce. The authors drew on the leader-member exchange theory and social cognitive theory to address these problems by proposing the mediation effect of technology self-efficacy and moderating effect of corporate culture on the relationship between E-leadership and virtual team performance. This conceptualization contributes to the expansion of understanding on virtual team performance through E-leadership. It provides practitioners and managers with insights into strategies they can utilize to enhance the virtual team performance of the organizations.","PeriodicalId":55819,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Research","volume":"218 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75620933","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study further designates sustainability reporting disclosure practices. The study used content scrutiny of the yearly statement of 175 companies listed in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) for the year 2018, applying determinants count procedure and ordinary least square (OLS) regression analysis. Findings revealed that the level of sustainability reported among the listed companies in Bangladesh is deficient. Board independence and audit independence have a positive relationship with sustainability reports, but the female members in the board, audit committee size, and corporate governance compliance index have a negative relationship with sustainability as reporting. The board size of the companies is not a significant determinant of sustainability reported. The use of content analysis method for the measurement of sustainability report considering the quantity and ignoring the quality of disclosure, data consideration for only one year may contain subjectivity matter from the researcher’s perspective. Future research should be conducted based on content analysis with a mixed method to increase the quality. The findings of this study guided the essentials for step-up and the pursuance of corporate governance on sustainability exposure. This study contributes to works of literature on the association of corporate governance with sustainability disclosure.","PeriodicalId":55819,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Research","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84534475","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With COVID-19 posing rising unemployment and growth related challenges, technopreneurship can prove to be rewarding by decreasing the burden of government, improving socioeconomic conditions, and creating employment opportunities. Technopreneurship has gained significant traction in Pakistan and successive governments have made considerable efforts to promote this concept. In this regard, universities have been directed to include courses of entrepreneurship and IT in their graduation programs, since universities play a major role in transforming the youth into competent professionals. However, actual technopreneurial activities are still limited. Since the efforts to support technopreneurship are ongoing, the current study tends to evaluate the extent to which educational institutes contribute to these efforts. For this reason, 15 semi-structured interviews were conducted with technopreneurs to take their viewpoint regarding the courses of entrepreneurship and IT taught to them and the role of these courses in their success. Thematic analysis was performed on the collected data. The findings identified that although the courses offered by universities are a motivator for students to adopt technopreneurship as a field, still there exist some significant gaps in teaching methodology and course design. There is a need for additional and latest courses, field-experienced faculty, and the overhauling of the curriculum to create more successful technopreneurs. Suggestions were also provided at the end of the study regarding how educational institutes can strategize to create more technopreneurs in the future. The current study was limited to the vicinity of Lahore, as time and resources were not sufficient to cover other cities. It used a mixture of purposive and snowball sampling techniques which may have impacted the findings, since the individuals in the population did not have an equal chance of being selected for the sample.","PeriodicalId":55819,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Research","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83704958","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
