At present, the field also has an additional function as a place for sports, recreations and educations, its evidenced by the construction of various facilities to support community activities. Although it has been improved, this field still has problems, such as the number of visitors stepping on low plants when entering the field, so that access to the field that is not functioning properly and the absence of a parking lot makes visitors park carelessly. The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of Lumintang Field as a public open space in Denpasar City. The method used is a survey method with data collection techniques are observation, questionnaire distribution, interviews, and literature study, with data analysis such as Lumintang Field facilities analysis and analysis of public space effectiveness. The results revealed that the existence of Lumintang Field as a public open space in Denpasar City was quite effective with a value of 2.0. Therefore, this study aims to determine the appropriate arrangement for streetscape with focusing on plantations arrangement. Method used in this study was field survey by implementing observations, field measurements and documentations data collection technique. Data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative method by comparing streetscape suitability with regulation standards and literatures. Results were indicated that the streetscape has potency to develop by arranging the plantations. It can be achieved by following government regulation on standard of streescape. Based on current situation of the street, it found that the previous plan for tree selection were not ideal, so it need to adjust by selecting and planting quen crape myrtle trees (Lagerstroemia speciosa) to substitute the previous streetscape plantations plan. Then, this recommended species was used as the main concept for structuring streetscape plantation at the downstream of Tukad Mati. Meanwhile, environmental damage caused by human activities is increasing, so that environmental awareness on school need to be developed by providing educative facilities in the form of school open space. This created to fullfill comfortable school environments while providing educative facilities and build environmental awareness of students with the adiwiyata concept which is a school program aims to encourage schools to adopt behaviors that are respectful towards the environment. This research was conducted at Harapan Bunda School (HBS), Jimbaran, Bali which has a large open space area but has not been optimized. Several facilities have been damaged due to dysfunction. The study aims to design a gardenbased learning area to optimize the potential of the outdoor space and solve the problem in the HBS. Method used in this research was field survey by implementing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, questionnaire and literature studies. The results showed that the SHB area was designed by dividing the area into three main area i.e. activity areas, functional areas and areas of space requirements. Areas of activity include active and passive areas. Whereas, functional areas include reception areas, connecting areas and main areas. According to space requirements, the area were divided into built areas, open space and green open space equipped with pergola facilities and some benchs to support passive activities and playing fields to support active activities. One of garden’s types that exist in Bali is setra. Setra garden in Bali had been used for spiritual ceremonies like Ngaben. There were more than 1500 setra gardens that had not been yet identified in Bali. Therefore, identifying, collecting data, and mapping of setras garden were needed in analyzing the setras. Setras garden in which located in North Kuta sub-district was chosen in this research because there was not any database yet which was related to the setras especially for its space pattern and morphometry. This research aimed to identify the morphometry, space pattern, factors that affecting space pattern, and utilization of the setras in North Kuta sub-district. The research method used was survey method. This research used descriptive qualitative, and quantitative analisys. In the results, this research found that Kerobokan traditional village had the highest percentage number of setra garden which was 38,1%. Setra Tuka was located in the higest elevation (122,34 msal), while the 80% of setras was in the flat topography. The average area of setras garden in North Kuta was about 0,12 Ha. Direction of centre, and southeast was the most setras position (19%). The whole setras garden in North Kuta applied Tri Mandala concept as its space pattern and all of its space pattern was affected by tradition factor. SoekarnoMedian strips the City of Saumlaki, Maluku Tenggara Barat. Planting plants in the median strip Ir. Soekarno was dominated by Trembesi trees (Samanea saman) with tree branches that grew beyond the median strip. It was quite dangerous for road users because the Trembesi trees can easily be fallen when exposed to strong winds. Despite its problems, the Trembesi tree had ecological potential benefits such as the highest oxygen-producing and pollutant-absorbing capacity. This study aims to determine and evaluate the types of plants in terms of the physical categories and functions of plants and spacing. This study was located in Ir. Soekarno Road, South Tanimbar District, Town of Saumlaki, Maluku Tenggara Barat Regency. The standard of assesment for median road plant used The Guidelines Regulation of Public Works Minister 2008. Survey method with quantitative descriptive approach was used was this study by taking four samples of the median road segment. The physical assessment results for the four samples varied, those were moderate, good, and very good. The assessment result of functions in each segment had been fulfilled the categories with good and very good criteria, howevere the function needs to be improved. The value of distance assessment for each segment varied, those were good and very good. Denpasar City has been experienced a calamitous event such as flooding or inundating caused by development activities and topographical conditions of urban areas which prone to risk to flood disasters. Therefore, urban planning inDenpasar City needs to be handled by developing the concept of flood mitigation approach by considering the level of risk and the characteristics of the city of Denpasar. The purpose of this research was to developzoning concept in urban areas based on flood mitigation approach. The method used in this study wasoverlaying analysis and descriptive analysis. The results showed that the level of flood vulnerability in Denpasar city was increased from 59.62% in 2015 and reached to 61.24% in 2016. The trends caused by a high rainfall during 2016 and was influenced by the hydrogeological characteristics, slope and land use change. Based on spatial analysis, the concept of flooding mitigation formed as follows: 1) high hazard zone(refers to the concept of disaster mitigation in a high hazard area); 2) Medium hazard zone (referring to the concept of disaster mitigation in medium hazard area); 3) Low hazard zone (referring to the concept ofdisaster mitigation in low hazard area). In conclusion it recommended that the government and thecommunity need to work together while maintaining the environment and monitoring the use of space in the urban area. Urban communities have a variety of activities and routines with high mobility. It takes a balance between busy activities and leisure activities where people have the freedom to communicate and interact in space. The area of public green open space in Serpong District has reached 28% of the total required by Law no. 26 article 29. Most of the green open space is located in certain housing areas, so that its utilization is more focused on residential residents. . Based on these facts, this study aims to discuss the extent to which the socio-cultural functions that must be carried out by public green open space outside of residential areas can meet the needs of people who live outside the existing residential areas. A study on the social functions of public green open space will be carried out in Serpong District, South Tangerang City, with samples of City Forest 2, Health Park, and Peace Park. This study used survey method using data collection instruments in the form of observations and questionnaires which were scored based on a Likert scale. Data analysis technique is using proportion (percentage) or frequency. This research is motivated by the absence of the spatial pattern of landscape character of karang bengang at Buahan Village. Karang bengang is an open space that is located between the villages as a nonresidential area. The existence of karang bengang increasingly rare in Bali, due to land use change. This study aims to identify and map the spatial patterns and characters of karang bengang at Buahan Village, Tabanan sub-district, Tabanan Regency. The method used in this research was survey method and data were collected by conducting observation, interviews, and literature study. For data analysis, it used qualitative data analysis methods and the results was presented in the form of illustration of spatial pattern of Tabanan Subdistrict, illustration of the spatial pattern of Desa Buahan, and map of the karang bengang area at Buahan Village. Based on the analysis, it was found that the landscape character of karang bengang at Buahan Village was influenced by biophysical (climate, accessibility, softscape, and hardscape, spatial patterns, land cover) and social aspects (demographic, socio-cultural, and economic), as well as traditional Balinese space patterns of Tri Hita Karana (the concept of reciprocity of humans with nature implements natural use areas such as pancoran, rice fields, fields, humans and humans implementing human interaction areas such as farmer huts, humans and God implement sacred areas such as Pelinggih Catu to achieve harmony) and Tri Mandala (the concept of division of three levels of space).
