Although\u0000 ultrasound demonstrated to be useful in risk of injury prevention and monitoring\u0000 post-injury rehabilitation, no studies analyzed the ultrasound muscle histology\u0000 with sports performance tests. We aimed to analyze the correlation between\u0000 ultrasound findings related to rectus femoris morphology and composition with\u0000 sports performance indicators and to analyze sociodemographic, sports\u0000 performance and ultrasound differences according to playing position.\u0000 Methods An observational study was conducted at the CFF OLYMPIA soccer\u0000 club (Madrid, Spain). Twenty-two semi-professional female soccer players were\u0000 enrolled in this study. Sociodemographic data, bilateral ultrasound measurements\u0000 of the rectus femoris muscle and sports performance tests (Counter Movement Jump\u0000 -CMJ-, The Sprint Repeat Ability -SRA-, and one Repetition Maximum -1RM-) were\u0000 collected.\u0000 Results No correlations between ultrasound imaging and sports performance\u0000 indicators were found. Significant correlations between cross-sectional area and\u0000 perimeter with age (p<0.05) and fatty infiltration with body mass index\u0000 and tight perimeter (p<0.05) were seen. No muscle ultrasound morphology\u0000 or quality differences were found between the playing positions\u0000 (p>0.05). Finally, most of the functional tests showed no\u0000 between-position differences (except SRA between goalkeepers and attackers).\u0000 Conclusion Although muscle morphology and quality are associated with\u0000 demographic features, US should not be used as a predictor of sports performance\u0000 in female football players since no association between US and sports\u0000 performance were observed. Similar US and functional test scores were obtained\u0000 among the different playing positions.

For cardiopulmonary function, minute ventilation (VE), volume\u0000 oxygen maximum (VO2max), and ventilation threshold (VT) were measured. BMD was\u0000 measured measure systemic BMD and bone mass. The injury incidence rates (IIR)\u0000 per 1000 training of hours. χ2 tests were performed to compare injury\u0000 patterns between sex. Simple linear regression was used to evaluate the\u0000 relationship between variables.\u0000 Results The overall IIR was 4.80 (4.32–5.32) per 1000 h of\u0000 training. Female had a higher rate than male (p=0.008). We observed\u0000 differences in injury severity between men and women (p=0.040). Both the\u0000 cardiopulmonary function and BMD were related to IIR in all athletes. The body\u0000 regions with the most injuries were the lower extremities (52.05%),\u0000 trunk (23.84%), upper extremities (16.71%), and head and neck\u0000 (7.40%). Cardiopulmonary function and BMD were not related to the\u0000 location of the injury. However, Cardiopulmonary function and BMD were related\u0000 to the IIR of severe and ligament injury.\u0000 Conclusion The sex was found to affect rate and severity of injury.\u0000 Cardiopulmonary function and BMD were related to the injury patterns. Our\u0000 findings can help promote the performance improvement of elite football athletes\u0000 and the development of injury prevention program.

Methods It was a parallel designed, single-blind pilot randomized clinical trial. Patients were recruited at physiotherapy laboratory of the Istanbul University from September 2017 to June 2019. Twenty-eight women patients with Chronic Pelvic Pain were included into the trial. Patients were randomized into two groups. Group 1 received ischemic compression and Group 2 received low-level laser therapy twice a week for 6 weeks. Both groups received the same standard exercise program. Pain, range of motion, pelvic floor symptom severity, quality of life, satisfaction, anxiety, and depression were assessed after 6 weeks, and 1-year follow up. Results Following the treatment, significant differences were observed within both group subjects in pain, range of motion, symptom severity, quality of life, and anxiety-depression (p<0.05). This significant improvement in pain, symptom severity, symptoms related quality of life and pain subgroup of Short Form 36, continued after 1-year follow up (p<0.05). In comparison between group, Group 1 have more significant improvement than Group 2 in terms of symptoms related quality of life (p<0.05). Conclusion Both methods have shown efficacy and can be used safely in chronic pelvic pain patients. Because it is more effective on symptoms related quality of life, the ıschemic compression method may be preferred for primary use.

Therefore the comparison of physiotherapeutic\u0000 approaches according to Bobath concept versus Vojta principle for correction of\u0000 positional plagiocephaly gives an inside view.\u0000 Material and Methods Cranial vault asymmetry index (CVAI) and ear shift at\u0000 a mean age of 3/6/9 months of 189 infants with positional\u0000 plagiocephaly were measured by three-dimensional scans. The effectiveness was\u0000 determined and compared based on CVAI and ear shift. The correlation of severity\u0000 was calculated.\u0000 Results The relative probability of success was 84% higher for\u0000 Vojta compared to Bobath. Mean change of CVAI revealed a significantly greater\u0000 reduction for infants treated with Vojta, as well as for ear shift. Improvement\u0000 occurred especially from age of 6–9 months. Treatment duration was\u0000 significantly shorter with Vojta and severe cases of positional plagiocephaly\u0000 benefited significantly more.\u0000 Conclusion Comparing the effectiveness of both physiotherapeutic treatment\u0000 concepts on a neurophysiological basis according to Bobath and Vojta the\u0000 presented retrospective data analysis provides statistically superior results in\u0000 reducing skull asymmetry more effectively and faster in favor to the Vojta\u0000 principle. It may affect the physiological health of an individual and hence fatigue, musculoskeletal disorder and changes in physical activity may arise. Objective To compare the fatigue level, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and physical activity level in aircraft engineers working in morning shift and night shift. Method The study consisted of 100 aircraft engineers working at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Terminal 1. 50 aircraft engineers working in morning shift and 50 aircraft engineers working in night shift participated in the study. Self-administered questionnaire i. e., Chalder Fatigue Scale, Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire and International Physical Activity Questionnaire were used to access the fatigue level, the number of MSDs, and physical activity level, respectively. Results The results showed significant difference in fatigue level, and the level of physical activity morning shift versus night shift workers (p<0.001). The mean value of fatigue level in morning shift was 4.9 and in night shift was 14.6. The average mean value of physical activity level in morning shift was 1972.61 MET min a week and in night shift was 1277.83 MET min a week. MSDs were more common in night shift workers as compared to morning shift workers. Conclusion The findings of the study suggested an increased in the level of fatigue and decrease in the physical activity level among aircraft engineers working night shift compared to those working morning shift. There are more MSDs in aircraft engineers working night shift as compared to those working morning shift.
