The regulation of ageing pathways appears to differ between gymnosperms and angiosperms. We previously identified <i>DAL1</i> as a conserved conifer age biomarker that plays a crucial role in the transition from vegetative to reproductive life-history phases in pines. Therefore, elucidating the specific interaction events related to DAL1 is key to understanding how age drives conifer development. Large-scale yeast two-hybrid (Y2H) analysis followed by next-generation high-throughput sequencing (Y2H-seq) allowed us to identify 135 PtDAL1 interacting proteins in <i>Pinus tabuliformis</i>. Our study found that PtDAL1 interacting proteins showed an ageing-related module, with sophisticated interacting networks composed of transcription factors (TFs), transcriptional regulators (TRs), and kinases. These interacting proteins are produced in response to a variety of phytohormones and environmental signals, and are likely involved in wood formation, needle development, oleoresin terpenoids biosynthesis, and reproductive development. In this study, we propose a novel regulation model of conifer ageing pathways whereby PtDAL1 coordinates different environmental stimuli and interacts with corresponding proteins to regulate appropriate development.</p>","PeriodicalId":54604,"journal":{"name":"Plant Biosystems","volume":"128 1","pages":"12"},"PeriodicalIF":4.3,"publicationDate":"2021-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC11524280/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81817229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"生物学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To date, there are no clear guidelines regarding the role of screening and surveillance spinal MRI (sMRI) in children with SPFLGT, at diagnosis or during follow-up periods. The current study reviews a cohort of children with SPFLGT, focusing on sMRI findings.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>In this binational retrospective study, the authors analyzed 229 patients with SPFLGT treated and followed over 13 years. One hundred twelve children had at least 1 total sMRI screening or surveillance examination. One hundred seventeen had no sMRI, but did not present with clinical spinal signs or symptoms. Collected data included demographics, disease characteristics, radiology, pathology, and clinical follow-up data.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>For the 112 children with at least 1 sMRI, the mean duration from diagnosis to first sMRI was 11.73 ± 28.66 months (range 0-165 months). All sMRI scans were conducted as screening examinations, with no spinal-related symptoms. One patient was found to have a sacral intradural lesion concurrent to the brain tumor diagnosis. Over the course of 180 radiological and 533 clinical follow-up years for the 112 patients with sMRI, and 582 clinical follow-up years for the 117 patients with no sMRI, there were no additional cases with spinal tumor spread.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>The yield of screening sMRI in the absence of cranial metastasis, or spinal symptoms, is extremely low. Because preoperative sMRI is recommended for medulloblastomas and ependymomas, it may be logical to acquire. During the follow-up period the authors recommend limiting sMRI in patients without symptoms suggesting a spinal lesion, in patients without known cranial metastases, or recurrence or residual SPFLGT.</p>","PeriodicalId":54604,"journal":{"name":"Plant Biosystems","volume":"129 1","pages":"106-110"},"PeriodicalIF":2.1,"publicationDate":"2019-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81822943","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"生物学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The non-native flora includes at present 346 taxa in 231 genera, representing 82 families. However, other 55 taxa were not found later than 1950. Trends in alien plants invasion throughout the investigated area are discussed. Results are therefore compared with similar data from other Italian regions and other European countries. In the Appendix, taxa are listed with essential synonymy, local and general distribution, status, biological form, habitat, diffusion mechanisms, potential threats, literature data, voucher specimens, and miscellaneous ethnobotanical, chronological and taxonomical notes. In addition, 49 escaped taxa are known only for Botanical and private gardens, while 66 taxa are regarded as doubtful aliens. By including also these two categories, the non-native flora of Campania reaches 516 taxa. In addition, numerous doubtful and erroneous indications were discussed. Finally, a reference list for the exotic regional flora from 1500 C.E. to present is proposed.","PeriodicalId":54604,"journal":{"name":"Plant Biosystems","volume":"152 1","pages":"767 - 779"},"PeriodicalIF":2.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1080/11263504.2017.1338626","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"59769581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"生物学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Further serological studies. — Additional researches have been carried out about genetical tumors in genus Nicotiana. By means of serological procedure the affinity among pairs of species that give rise to tumorous and non-tumorous hybrids has been tested, considering also their phyletic interrelation. Using ion exchange chromatography a qualitative analysis of the total proteins of tumorous and non-tumorous tissue of hybrids and of normal leaves taken from hybrids and their parental species was carried out. Serological analysis of affinity between the species tested gave following results: 1) higher serological affinity was found between species belonging to the same subgenus than between species belonging to different subgenera. 2) serological affinity between pairs of species giving rise to tumorous hybrids is higher than the affinity observed between other pairs of species that give rise to normal hybrids in spite of the same sistematic position....","PeriodicalId":54604,"journal":{"name":"Plant Biosystems","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1080/11263506309430205","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"59776881","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"生物学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
