In a competitive environment such as passenger air transport, it is impossible to escape from this strategy; the companies that compete in it, seek to generate valuable offers for their customers. Although this variable has been studied in airline passengers, there are still research gaps and particularly in Mexican context, there are few studies that have been performed. In order to advance knowledge, the objective of this research was to establish whether there are significant differences in the loyalty and behavioral intentions of passenger of full-service airlines and passengers of low-cost carriers travelling on domestic flights in Mexico. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional research design was used in a non-probabilistic sample of 434 passengers. Analysis of variance was used as the preferred statistical technique. The results indicate that there are no significant differences between the groups. In other words, loyalty and behavioral intentions are not different, among passengers of low-cost airlines and passengers of full-service airlines. Neither attitudinal nor behavioral loyalty, are different. That is, the favorable predisposition towards the airlines and the intentions of behavior associated with them, are similar. In strategic terms, in both types of airline, loyalty is a current challenge. Both business models, with different value offers, achieve loyal customers, with the intention of consuming, recommending and speaking well of the airline in which they travel.","PeriodicalId":53973,"journal":{"name":"PERIPLO SUSTENTABLE","volume":"1 1","pages":"240-263"},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41713655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The theoretical approach proposed in this research is what we call “the feminist gender perspective”, which analyzes gender relations with a critical vision towards patriarchy. The methodology used is qualitative; applying in-depth interviews, life stories and participant observation, as well as municipal documentary review, photographic record and bibliography on the subject. The main findings show that feminism and gender equality policies have promoted the substantive equality of women in tourism, by increasing their participation in all sectors. However, the patriarchal system preset major obstacles in perpetuating traditional gender roles by anchoring women to domestic and care work, limiting their professional development. The conclusions show that the influence of feminism in carnivals in Latin America and Mexico is present in the coexistence of traditional forms of female participation, along with expressions in transition and processes of chance. One example is the carnival in Tepoztlan, where female visibility in the organization, troupes, commerce and tourism is present.","PeriodicalId":53973,"journal":{"name":"PERIPLO SUSTENTABLE","volume":"1 1","pages":"208-239"},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-10-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41350942","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this multi-level and multi-organizational scenario, Intergovernmental Relations (RIG) arise, understood as the interactions that occur between the different government units. These relationships can be characterized by good coordination and cooperation in pursuit of a common state policy or sometimes be conditioned by conflicts of interest between the different jurisdictional levels, which can lead to incoherent policies and objectives or the overlapping of efforts and resources. Within the public administration, one of the areas that is gaining more and more prominence is tourism. Its complex and cross-cutting nature makes it an ideal space to analyze IBCs. The objective is to describe and analyze the relationships between public tourism agencies of the Argentine State that have an influence on the destination of Mar del Plata, with the intention of knowing their impact on local tourism policy and development.","PeriodicalId":53973,"journal":{"name":"PERIPLO SUSTENTABLE","volume":"1 1","pages":"190-207"},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47102874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first one, a political dimension that implies democratic, inclusive and empowered participation, synthesized as community-driven governance; the second, an economic dimension that can be manifested as social entrepreneurship or community-based entrepreneurship and, finally, an ethical dimension related to the mission of the CBT. In the first part of the work, a definition of CBT is proposed based on its integrating elements and it is determined why the CBT is a community agency with a political, economic and ethical dimension. It is concluded that the CBT as a community agency should aim to promote collective action for the common welfare, as well as sustain, regenerate or strengthen the community itself. This mission constitutes the ethical dimension of any case CBT. Two cases of CBT in Oaxaca, Mexico, are addressed as empirical examples. In the first example, it takes care of the ethical dimension but this is not the case in the second one, so the TBC is lost as a model of tourism.","PeriodicalId":53973,"journal":{"name":"PERIPLO SUSTENTABLE","volume":"1 1","pages":"90-123"},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44075273","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, the study of the aptitude of the territory is a fundamental management tool prior to establishing any type of tourism activity, which allows both the villager and the manager to identify the resources in the natural and socioeconomic dimension with which the territory to define the best areas of use that allow the conservation and development of communities. The objective of this work was to analyze the research methods used to determine the aptitude of the territories for alternative tourism activities in their modalities ecotourism, adventure tourism and rural tourism. International literature was analyzed identifying authors, objectives, methods and results, resulting in a grouping in three categories: 1) research based on natural and socioeconomic resource inventories, 2) research based on the natural system only and use of GIS, and 3) research based on natural and socioeconomic system with the support of the use of GIS. It is this last category that presents more complex works following the theory of sustainability and the objectives pursued by alternative tourism. Even so, it is recommended to innovate in methods that allow to include more variables for the characterization of the territory, and scales of better definition and detail.","PeriodicalId":53973,"journal":{"name":"PERIPLO SUSTENTABLE","volume":"1 1","pages":"139-162"},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46911843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

En México, las Áreas Naturales Protegidas (ANP) representan uno de los principales destinos para realizar actividades de ecoturismo, un ejemplo es el Parque Nacional Bahía de Loreto (PNBL). La aplicación de políticas y regulaciones de manejo en las ANP requieren de información actualizada sobre el estado de sustentabilidad del sistema. En este sentido, uno de los objetivos del presente estudio fue realizar una revisión de los sistemas de indicadores e índices que se han propuesto para evaluar la sustentabilidad del turismo en ANP. Como segundo objetivo se propone un modelo para evaluar la sustentabilidad del turismo en el PNBL, compuesto por dos índices. El primero basado en un análisis estadístico multivariado que permite evaluar la tendencia del destino hacia el alcance de la sustentabilidad dentro de un periodo de tiempo; el cual consiste en cuatro dimensiones: socioeconómica, turística, ambiental y tecnológica. El segundo índice es de percepción y se basa en la opinión de la comunidad residente, empresas turísticas y de los turistas; los indicadores se clasificaron en la dimensión social y ambiental. El modelo propuesto permitirá evaluar de manera novedosa e integral la sustentabilidad de un ANP con uso turístico, considerando todos los componentes involucrados en los objetivos del turismo sustentable. La aplicación de indicadores, tanto objetivos como subjetivos, ofrece una ventaja respecto a otros índices, ya que considera la opinión de los sectores involucrados además de los datos duros generados a través de monitoreos y censos. Los índices aquí propuestos permitirán identificar problemas o riesgos, así como redefinir y crear nuevos objetivos para el Programa de Manejo del PNBL.","PeriodicalId":53973,"journal":{"name":"PERIPLO SUSTENTABLE","volume":"1 1","pages":"7"},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44217771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
